Kelly Cheung’s Secret of Keeping Fit: “Eat Everything, but in Moderation”

Miss Chinese International winner Kelly Cheung (張曦雯) is a TV goddess in the running, and viewers can see why. In the third season of TVB’s travel program Fun Abroad <32>, Kelly brought viewers to the island of Mauritius, introducing the island’s culture and vacation spots.

Though the island is beautiful, many female viewers couldn’t help but to admire Kelly’s fit and athletic body. How did she get so fit? Kelly answered their concerns in a recent interview.

“Actually, when I was in high school, I was considered fat,” she said. “Being tall also did not help.”

Then what got Kelly to go on a diet? “My family demanded me to lose weight,” she said with a laugh. “My weight was getting too much. I did get skinny at one point, but then gained it all back. It was back and forth.”

It took a while for the 27-year-old to find what was best for her. “My way of doing it was to eat whatever I want, but do so in moderation.” She added that she was influenced by her father, who she describes to be a health nut. “He’s 50 years old now, but he’s still exercising everyday. He has a six pack!”

Kelly shared that she currently weights 120 lbs with a waist measurement of 23 in. She is 175 cm (5 ft 7 in) tall. She said she doesn’t really keep track of her weight, saying, “You just want to be happy, and if gaining two pounds makes you unhappy, then that’s not really healthy. I still fit into the clothes I usually wear, and if I look okay in it, then that’s all I need.”

  2. I doubt she eats much junk food though, maybe she should make it clear she doesnt exactly gorge on mcDs all the time.
