Ruco Chan: “Slow Down and Enjoy Life”
Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) traveled to Malaysia to film the third season of Wellness On the Go <星級健康>, a variety program co-produced by Hong Kong’s TVB and Malaysia’s Astro. Just as he wished, the organizers arranged for Ruco work at a coffee shop, where he learned how to brew coffee and make latte art.
Ruco managed the shop for an entire day—from sweeping the shop, to watering the plants, to cooking meals, to working as a cashier, and even cleaned the restrooms.
Upon arriving at the coffee shop, Ruco was introduced to the shop’s facilities, the coffee beans used to make the coffee, and the general work process. Ruco swept the floors, cleaned the tables, and washed the restrooms before advancing to working in the kitchen and as a barista. He managed the guests’ meals and made coffee for them, earning many praises from the staff.
Ruco’s coffee shop experience was enriching. He shared that he can now understand the struggles that workers have to face in the service industry. The process of brewing coffee involves patience and delicacy, and it has taught him the importance of living life slowly and positively. He urges people to slow down their steps and enjoy life to the fullest.

Which shop? No wonder a friend told me her friend walked into a coffee shop only to be served by Ruco. I was like when was he in malaysia anyway? Now I see!!

OMG…those patrons must be really lucky to be served by Ruco. I would be drooling for sure… :-).

Really hope that we have such a chance in Hong Kong to be served by him. He looks very handsome and attractive.
@funnlim … it was at Beam Cafe, Bandar Sri Damansara, actually it is located at a small industrial area … there was a “Meet & Greet Session” on 7 May 2015 at 7pm to 9pm for fans, Astro customer could actually redeem passes with 300 circle points … i went there last minute with fan club members =D … that night it was something like a cooking program and everyone got to eat “steam pumpkin & mushroom” cooked by him ^ ^ … but i regret not eating that night =(, but could still remember the mushroom aroma =)

@kimo28 … actually, i went together with a fan who specially drive all the way from penang to kl just to attend this event =) … we were so lucky to be able to attend this event (*^__^*)
How did the whole fan session go? I saw clips of it on YT and Ruco was really spontaneous and cute when the host teased him about taking his shirt off. He is so charming and so so real. I love his humility, his sense of humor and his to-die-for lean, atheltic body. Of course, he is so good-looking with hair now. And he’s such a nice and sweet guy as well. OMG…this guy can do no wrong 🙂
@lml1977 … i think whatever you saw on yt was as much as there was at the event =D … there was some chit chat, a discussion session about “What Role Would You Want To Be At A Cafe?” and explanation by another special guest, for example if you want to be “cake” you are in for richness, and if you want to be a “coffee maker” means you have alot of internal feelings that is trapped and many more explanations, but i can’t remember =P … also cooking of “steam pumpkin & mushroom” by ruco and two lucky fans ^ ^, that’s the main attraction of the night =) … and if you were there you would have an opportunity to eat the “steam pumpkin & mushroom” 😉
What is happening to Ruco? He has not been offered a role in any drama this year?
