Grace Chan’s Parents Have a Good Impression of Kevin

Although Grace Chan (陳凱琳) admires Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), she admitted that they are “not officially dating”. Tabloids claimed that Grace’s parents are unhappy about the 21-year-age difference between the rumored couple. Refusing to meet Kevin, Grace’s mother allegedly returned to Canada without celebrating Mother’s Day together. However, Grace dismissed the rumors, stating that her parents had already returned to Canada two months ago. They also have a very good impression of Kevin.
“I told my parents that Kevin is a good senior and has helped me with filming a lot. He’s very thoughtful and cares about people around him, so their impression [of him] is good.” Grace further clarified, “My parents understand what kind of person I am. They know that every decision I make is after careful consideration, and every single thing I do is for my own happiness. What’s most important is to be happy.”
Grace revealed that her parents have not yet met Kevin. After filming Blue Veins <殭> , Grace intends to go alone and will not bring Kevin along on the trip. “Let’s take everything slowly. I’m also in the process of observing [him]. There’s no need to rush this aspect. Just go with the flow.”
Although there have been incessant negative reports pointing out their age difference, Grace stated that Kevin was not unhappy over the reports. “He is not [upset]. Rather, he would brush off the reports after reading them. It’s nothing. We take these reports very casually and just laugh them off.”

Wow. So her parents are involved now too. This is going pretty far. I’d like them together but seems like great just ready to give up her new career as Kevin is getting old

a. 21 years older than their young daughter.
b. recently involved in some so called kissing in the club scandal unless they don’t follow chinese celebrity news
c. a bit too fast moving sort of relationship

I think the age gap is a bit big too. However, it may not be just that but it is also the stage they are both at in their lives. Kevin is ready to settle down,get married and have kids while Grace just won Ms.HK not too long ago and is just starting her career. Therefore,you really wonder even if they did date whether they would reach the marriage stage? Time will tell I guess.
