Hannah Quinlivan Reveals Photo of Baby Daughter Hathaway

Since giving birth in July, Hannah Quinlivan (昆凌) has been excitedly sharing updates on her daughter Hathaway‘s growth via social media. Intent on protecting her daughter’s privacy, Hannah has always been careful not to publish any revealing photographs of the little girl.

On the baby’s 100th birthday, Hannah finally decided to post a photo of her. Closing her eyes while napping, Hathaway’s adorable round cheeks, and notably, her beautiful long eyelashes were evident. Some netizens commented that their previous worries about Jay Chou’s (周杰伦) small, beady eyes being passed on to his progeny were unfounded.

Hannah captioned the photo with a sweet message dedicated to her baby daughter, “Dear Hathaway, Daddy and Mommy are so happy to watch you grow up day by day. Thank you for bringing us so much more emotion as well as responsibility. I hope that you will develop a great outlook on life and will approach all trials in life with a positive attitude. Be brave in every decision you make but dear, please remember that we’ve always got your back. Hope you can grow with happiness, joy and love. May you grow up healthily and blissfully, unburdened by any worries!”

In related news, a recent photo showed Hannah’s incredibly flat tummy without any stretch marks, astonishing fans that said the 22-year-old did not appear to have given birth only three months ago. However, it was also understood that Hannah had also gained less than 20 pounds during her pregnancy, making losing weight much easier.

    1. @kiki i am super curious as to why one of my favorite Taiwanese singer would name his daughter Hathaway but yea, STILL better than North West (im sorry little girl for picking on your name already).

      1. In another piece of news I read, it has been reported that Jay once said he most wants to meet Anna Hathaway, lol, don’t know if that had any influence on naming his daughter Hathaway though.

  1. Is it the combination of hannah and Jay’s name? I think Hathaway is a nice name but I always thought of it as a surname.

    1. can’t imagine jay would use someone’s surname as his daughter’s name…after all he is so Chinese. you know what I mean? Hathaway chou?

  2. Hathaway for a first name is uncommon.

Here’s what the name ” Hathaway” means:
You attract success and money. You are a lover of nature and do not need others for your happiness. You are self sufficient. You strive for material success and power and have business sense. You possess strong organizational abilities, can be a good manager, and executive by nature. You are capable of great achievement in business and finance. You are bold, independent, inquisitive and interested in research. You know what you want and why you want it.

  3. I think Jay must be a big investor in Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway, and therefore name his daughter after his investment. LOL!!

Seriously, I have never understood the need for people in non-English speaking societies to have an “English Name” as a rite to passage toward elitism and high social acceptability.

In the prevailing trend of Identity Politics, only the Chinese (among the Asians) tend to do that, especially, HK and Taiwan celebs and their kids. You’d find very few Korean or Japanese celebs do that despite the global recognition for some of them.

    1. @aiya hmmmm never realize it until you pointed it out. Chinese people do give out English name to their kids. Me being one of them. Living in the US, it’s easier for when they go to school. But yes, Japanese and Korean normally keep their own name..interesting…

      1. @happybi

Since you live in the US, an English-speaking society, you should not be “embarrassed” to have an English given name.

Interestingly, singer-songwriter Wang Lee Hom’s birth name was Alexander (b Rochester, NY). But once he went to Taiwan to start his career, he insisted to be called by his Chinese name only.

      2. @aiya No worries, I’m not embarrassed but just find what you wrote interesting as it never dawn on me till you pointed it out. very interesting I would say..

    2. @aiya maybe they just want their name to be easily recognizable for fans that dont speak their language instead of making the fans having to endear the torture of having to butcher their names (im guilty of butchering all my C-artists’ traditional names).

      1. @akinu

I guess Jay Chou had to take into consideration his baby daughter’s legions of overseas fan who might butcher her Chinese name. Ya right! LOL

I will stick to the position that this is just just a reflection of the western-worshipping wanabe mentality goes wild..
