“Running Man” Team to Return for Fourth Season

The popular variety show Running Man <奔跑吧兄弟>, based on the Korean show of the same name, has enjoyed a successful three-season run since it began airing on Zhejiang TV in 2014. The show recently announced that all seven celebrity guests will return for its fourth season.

Over the past three seasons of Running Man, the show’s team members have grown closer while completing seemingly impossible missions. Mainland Chinese actor Deng Chao (鄧超) and Hong Kong model/actress Angelababy (楊穎) are now so familiar with each other that they even began calling the other “uncle” and “niece.” Similarly, mainland Chinese actor Li Chen (李晨) is seen as a mother figure to fellow actor Michael Chen (陳赫).

Even mainland Chinese singer/actor Luhan (鹿晗), who only joined the Running Man team in its third season, has already become a part of the family. Viewers have expressed their appreciation of his straightforward and honest personality.

As a result, it is no surprise that fans are thrilled to hear that all seven Running Man team members, which also includes mainland Chinese actor Ryan Zheng (鄭愷) and Hong Kong artiste Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍), will be returning for the upcoming season.

In addition, Running Man announced that its fourth season will feature a new addition to its games. Although the show will still retain the classic fan favorites, such as the game that involves ripping off the participants’ nametags, it will also give fans the opportunity to create innovative new games. Those who have their game picked will be invited to announce the game and participate in the recording of an episode of the show.

saw a few eps of the Chinese version Running Brothers, don’t care for it, not funny

  2. Used to like variety shows. Nowadays don’t. Most variety shows nowadays are based on scripts whereby the people (host and guests) are given scripts to follow beforehand. Gone are the days whereby the guests have to give spontaneous responses to any questions asked by the host.

  3. I love the Koreans casts for running man. As for running brothers, nope. Just nope.
