“Over Run Over” Cast Wants a Sequel

Over Run Over <EU超時任務> cast members Tracy Chu (朱千雪), Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), Zoie Tam (譚凱琪) and more attended a celebratory banquet to commemorate the ratings success of the series, which ended its run last week. Producer Lam Chi-wah (林志華) and male lead Vincent Wong (王浩信), who are both in Vietnam shooting Dead Wrong <致命復活>, were not in attendance.

The sci-fi drama recorded an average rating of 29 points and a peak rating of 30 points during its final week of broadcast. The series’ ending is also one of this year’s most-discussed topics in online discussion forums, prompting rumors that TVB is considering a sequel. Tracy said that she’d definitely be open to return for a sequel, but the 27-year-old, who is studying for her masters, won’t be able to partake in the project until after she graduates at the end of the year.

Benjamin’s eye-opening villain role is one of the critical highlights of the show. The actor said his role shocked even his girlfriend, Jennifer Shum (岑杏賢). “She’s never seen me this evil before. I’m usually very kind and warm to her. After watching the finale there was definitely no good night kiss!”

Although Over Run Over is getting some awards buzz, Zoie said competition is strong and she has never thought about winning. “I’m just very happy to see such positive reviews from the audience,” she said. “If it’s possible, I do want to film a sequel.

  1. I think there is a lot of room for a sequel considering how ORO ended, but TVB’s sequels have been very disappointing for the past 5 years so I would rather they do another project with a similar cast that ruin it with a draggy sequel.

Or maybe they can do a short mini-series or an extra episode to show what happens after ORO.

Yeh. You are right! I think they shouldn’t ruin the original and instead cast Vincent And Tracy in an ancient series or something totally different and see if there will be further chemistry. It worked with Raymond Wong and Priscilla.

  2. No sequel please, Tracey Chu and Vincent Wong saved this series. Benjamin Yuen was wooden as usual.. He was not really a good villain , he turned bad right at the end as a supposed twist…..
This series had some good moments…but really it was repeating itself too much by going back in time like 10 times..
You could watch the 1st 5 episodes and the last 5 episodes and you still get the whole plot…

  3. ….what’s so shocking about Ben’s character being or him acting as character evul? It was predictable and his acting was meh. He’s so “mot toc” :/

  4. Benjamin’s acting is really woody. Loved the chemistry between Tracy and Vincent. But as for a sequel, no thanks. But I definately looking forward to see more leading roles from both of them. I can’t wait to see when Tracy partner with other male leads.

  5. I’d rather see Vincent and Tracy continue their chemistry in another series than have a sequel ruin such a good drama!

      +1!

The ending was unexpectedly good, I hope they don’t ruin it with a sequel. Let the viewers resolve in their own mind what the pendant means.
