Edwin Siu, Kristal Tin Promote “Brother’s Keeper 2”
Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Kristal Tin (田蕊妮), Ronald Law (羅鈞滿), and more attended an event in Hong Kong to promote their drama Brother’s Keeper II <巨輪II> on Sunday. The drama is a sequel to the 2013 drama of the same name, and premiered on August 29, 2016.
Brother’s Keeper II continues where the original series left off, and focuses on Edwin and Kristal’s multi chain bakery business. The cast said they are confident that the series will keep the viewers from TVB’s hit drama A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄>, which ended on Sunday. Edwin said, “Before A Fist Within Four Walls there was House of Spirits <一屋老友記>, which also good ratings. I have confidence in the ratings for our series too.”
Edwin said Brother’s Keeper II has 39 episodes and will be on air for two months. “It sounds daunting but I have confidence in the series,” said Edwin. “There are new cast members so it won’t feel repetitive.”
In the show, Edwin plays a couple with new cast member Grace Chan (陳凱琳). Hugo Ng (吳岱融), Jade Leung (梁崢), Mat Yeung (楊明), Tsui Wing (徐榮), and Ali Lee (李佳芯) are also new additions.
Mentioning that his girlfriend, fellow actress Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), said she would “boycott” all of his intimate scenes with Grace, Edwin smiled and said, “Understandable! I have no interest in watching her intimate scenes with other actors too!”
Kristal, who won Best Actress for her role as “Yiu Man-ying” in the last series, was asked if she has the confidence to win the same award a second time around for the sequel. Kristal said, “It’s still too early to tell.”
Pointing out that her Ghost of Relativity <鬼同你OT> star Nancy Wu (胡定欣) is having strong Best Actress buzz due to her popular dramas this year, Kristal congratulated Nancy and said, “I hope she’ll continue to stay strong!”
Ronald Law, who was sentenced to community service due to a DUI, admitted to the press that TVB had put him in a hiatus and is renegotiating his contract. Ronald also did not deny the rumors that he’s dating a wealthy woman, but stressed that he will put his work before anything else.

I am bored just reading this. The leads do not sound appealing and at 39 eps, it will surely lose steam midway.
The problem is Ruco Chan is only in a few episodes and the focus is on Edwin Siu who I don’t like. Also the relationship of Edwin and Grace ……Grace just happens to be the villain Hugo Ng’s daughter…come on not very original…
I expect more from a Amy Wong production…

But that inspector gourmet really fun and nice..hehe..especially that mexican guy his acting really improved alot..hehehe
@lam86 inspector gourmet not very good too….. the plot is OK, some casts is cute and likeable. But can’t stand kenneth”s role. His irritating lust look when see pretty gal is a major turn off.
Disappointed with the first episode .. Especially for this being a grand production
Series is is the typical old lazy TVB plot. Good guy vrs villain batttling back and forth every episode until the good guy wins in the end. With the addition of falling in love with the enemy’s adventurous spoiled daughter. Definitely going to skip the scenes when Grace appears. Repetitive rubbish by TVB. Scenes and dialogue have been good so far though I must admit but it’s such a mismatch to have Hugo Ng acting with mediocre Edwin. It’s going to be another year where another reappearing veteran wins the best actor award. Hugo Ng has been awesome so far. Kristal is typically brilliant just like in the first series. Louis too.Great to watch him in both series.
Most idiotic part of the series so far is where Edwin’s dad charges through a fire in the factory to grab some biscuits but ends up with his legs crushed by metal stands plus exhaling a lot of smoke before being saved by Ruco lifting up the crushing metal. The next scene the dad is walking in the factory in the same angry manner healthier than before the fire. Legs in perfect health like nothing’s happened.
Absolute criminal to have Ruco playing support bit part in this series with Edwin taking the screen time. It’s like having a average support actor playing lead with the lead actor as his support. This series must have been made because of the sponsors payments. Can’t see the reason for making this series unless the company was forced to!
Hugo Ng to win best actor!!!!!
After Episode 5 no more appearance of Ruco & Linda. So disappointed. It’s just like the end of the Brother’s Keeper 2 drama. Doesn’t love to see Grace Chan paired up with Edwin Siu. Grace is bad in acting not natural. She pretends very cute & very boring in every drama.
