    1. Lilly,

Yes will have a Sexiest Woman Alive in Hong Kong poll in October. Stay tuned to vote!

  2. Sorry, but you should not say that about Wong Hei. What does having small eyes have to do with being gay or not??? Are you saying that all guys with small eyes are gay or something?? Also, what makes it seem like ugly guys are gay?? From what I know, many guys that are gay are actually very good looking….

  3. i am just so greedy!

i also like Tony leung, Moses, Bowie, Lai Lok Yi, shawn yue… I love to watch their performance. whom should i vote next???!

  4. I can sense a conspiracy here, let anyone win, just not Raymond Lam 😛

  7. 1 day later, 699 votes. Ray also good, 400+ votes. But still a very wide divide. Ray’s fans… where are you?!

    1. 1. been choked to death by his chok mv
      2. dream scattered by his playboy attitude
      3. realize that he is overrated with his plastic face
      🙂

  8. I would vote for Ruco!
He is a humble, hardworking and excellent actor.

  9. Oh damn, I should preview my messages before I submit, lot’s typing errors. Hello, everyone….

  10. raymond doesn’t need these kind of support, lol. it’s in the heart for us fans.. 🙂

    1. not only in heart, he got support from his girls in bed too

    1. Yeah, vote for Raymond. Try to announce onto his forum, perhaps you may get better results.

      1. Well just no need to do such thing. It’s just a game :P. Take part in it and join it as a game.

However, Jayne will be the happiest person :D.

      2. I agreed, it’s only a GAME!! Ah, we all have fun, right?

      3. Some have fun, some not. I don’t know how other ppl think. Maybe you should ask everyone?

But I’m sure Jayne is happy :D. Ruco fans proved their ambitiousness and helped Jayne to promote the site. So she’ll be happy.

      4. Fox,
Fans’ support counts in many ways, whether they are through more “measurable” actions such as appearing in live functions and concert performances. The number of fans willing to pay money for music albums, concert tickets, and movie tickets speak the loudest. An artist’s ability to generate real sales will make him/ her more valuable in vendor’s eyes and increase the earning power and future engagements of an artist. To show bottom-line impact, it’s best to pay for those music albums and DVDs instead of downloading online.

At the same time, fans’ unification online helps in other ways. I do believe that fans’ actions on TVB.com mean a lot, especially how they impact the celebrity’s popularity rankings. TVB management likely review those rankings to guage public sentiment regarding their artists. The messages fans leave on artist blogs may or may not be seen, but if they are, every measure of support counts. In addition, if you have a blog or are active in an online community, you can always campaign for your favorite artists to generate good word-of-mouth. Online support can be very influential, although their results may not be as easily measurable as direct sales.

As for this “Sexiest Man Alive in Hong Kong Award,” I’m very impressed with fans’ dedicated voting and support of their favorite actors. It’s for fun and as Fox said, no need to take it so personally as to who is in the top position. The men are all sexy in their own ways.

As always, thanks everyone for your support! Without your involvement, the” Sexiest Man Alive in Hong Kong Award” race would not be as exciting!

      1. Hi, Fox, here I go again, been a old fart, what is LMAO?

      2. Laugh with my ass on.

And ROLF = rolled on the floor for laugh.

Google them. Google is the best answer.

      3. It’s actually…
        LOL – Laugh out Loud
LMAO – Laughing my ass off
ROFL – Rolling on floor laughing
ROFLMAO – Rolling on floor laughing my ass off

  11. I never vote but why I didn’t see any vote button there?

    1. that happened to me too, try to jump out and come again?

    2. Yee,
“I never vote but why I didn’t see any vote button there?”

Try to use Internet Explorer? Or maybe update to latest browser version? It may be browser issue in not displaying the vote buttons correctly.

  12. Voted for Ruco! Wow..Ruco’s popularity is going up!
    Ruco forever!

  13. I’m shocked that Ruco has risen above the other guys by such large amount of votes. Maybe, he may become another Andy Lau?

    1. The real number of fans is more accurate and better to him. I mean the number like how many ppl attend his functions or how many ppl buy stuffs related to him. If he has so many votes online but not many ppl to support his stuffs and attend functions in HK, his price won’t increase. The price shows the status of the artist, so high price will help him much.

And who he’ll become? The future will have the best answer.

      Good luck Ruco and fans.

      1. @Fox,

hehee, yea still unkown but I am really looking forward to his shows. i heard that a fan watches Ruco’s old series at work, 2 at a time! crazy,,,, but haha, me2 watching his old aTV clips in youtube non stop.

      2. What Fox said above is indeed very true. The support for these kind of polls isn’t as accurate as the support we see in public functions and the support fans give in relations to albums, concerts..etc

Ruco can win all he wants but i doubt he is truly more famous than Raymond or some of any other guys in the poll. 🙂 This is just what i can see in a public’s perspective. 🙂

    2. Ya! Ya! he did looks a like Andy Lau when was young (17th years ago)

    3. I think Ruco is more popular oversea, I think especially in main China

    4. Give this guy a chance, he just start to get notice from ppl across the globe, with a bit of promotions or functions, he might just as good as other guys listed on this poll. Time Will Tell! OLO.

      1. Oops, I was trying to reply to Sarah’s comments above…
        hehe!

      1. Baby,
Go to gravatar.com and upload your preferred pic. Make sure you sign up at gravatar with same e-mail as one used to comment on JayneStars.com. For the time being, this is only way to change profile pic until we add that capability later on.

  14. Ruco is cool! He is charismatic. Daniel Wu and Donnie Yen are sexy too. Cheng Kah Weng is cool looking.

    1. Wow, lot’s of choices, did you vote for them all?

  15. is there going to be sexiest women alive in Hong Kong Award? 😀

    1. Baby,
Yes, “2011 Sexiest Woman Alive in Hong Kong” coming in October due to popular demand! Everyone is welcome to e-mail nominations for actresses/ popstars that they think qualify for the poll. Your nominations will be considered but not guaranteed inclusion as there are only 50 spots in the poll. E-mail nominations to [email protected].

  16. you are my Ruco, my only Ruco, you make me happy, when skies are grey, you’ll never know, dear, how much I love you~~~~

    1. In what way? I don’t get it. Is it because your fav. is not on top?

      1. Chill out xyz, it’s only a game! Have Fun. Remember, What goes up must come down, applies to everything or anyone. This is called “The Circle of Life”.

      2. I chose Kevin Cheng for a number of days and then Michael Tse on a certain day using different computers – a desktop and a laptop but the figures never change! Even though the statistics do not indicate the actual opinions of fans, let it be known that this fan thinks their portrayal of the respective roles in the dramas is appealing and electrifying!

  17. Voted for Kevin Cheng today and voted for Bosco yesterday! Wow Ruco has 908 votes now?

Oohs but anyway was thinking that it would be good if we could contact the recipient of this Sexiest Man Alive in Hong Kong 2011 award! Lol, does (for example) Ruco, Raymond or Kevin have Weibo? Maybe we can get the recipient to say a little thank you words over Weibo to those fans who voted for him! Heh heh! What do you guys think? 😀

    1. Ah K,
That sounds like a great idea! Hehehe we will have to wait until we approach closer to the poll closing date.

      1. Forget the Weibo, let’s get the Winner to come into this Jayne’s site to thank all his supporters. What do you think? It would be more fun.

      2. Silverfoxxx,
“Forget the Weibo, let’s get the Winner to come into this Jayne’s site to thank all his supporters. What do you think? It would be more fun.”

Wow, that would be wonderful! I will need assistance from fans who are well connected with fan club organizers to do this. Leaving a random message on the actor’s Weibo blog doesn’t seem to leave enough of an impact. Any volunteers.

      3. Whoever the Winner is, will be delighted to be name the “The Sexiest Man Alive in Hong Kong”. I’m sure he would come in to say a few words, overall, Jayne, you’re kind of promoting him to further fame in his career. Any suggestions? How can we help?

      4. Silverfox,
“Any suggestions? How can we help?”

The best approach is likely to contact the actor’s fan club organizers and explain our request. The fan club organizers probably have better method to contact the actor quickly and directly. If you have any fan club organizer contacts, please let me know.

Anyone who has further suggestions on this matter can e-mail me:
        [email protected].

      5. @Silverfox @Jayne:

        Yay! I agree! That’s a great idea! 😀

Hmm…but how do we go about contacting these artistes and even getting them to come here to say a mini thank you speech?

I was thinking maybe we could contact the Artistry Department of TVB but I’m not too sure whether they would give two hoots about us lol since it’s not like we will be giving them any money-making opportunities like appearance fees or whatsoever lmao! 🙁 But it’s always worth a try! 😀

Hmm…if we get fan clubs to help us, then will there be a possibility that the artiste would thank the fan clubs instead of Jaynestars voters? Just wondering! Anyway, if all else fails, I think it would be good to use Weibo to contact them too lahs cause it’s convenient, less red tape involved and quicker to get a response heehee! Just my personal opinion lahs! 😀

      6. *By way of contacting the Artistry Department, I meant emailing them lahs! 😀

      7. Great idea but it won’t work. You will be lucky they don’t send a demand letter to cease using their copyrighted images, which they did some time ago. I even wrote to TVB legal dept, ask them why the hell they do that. The usual reply, copyrighted stuff, etc.

The best way is to send to the artiste’s manager (if you know who that is not TVB but specific person) or the actor himself, if they have a personalised email at TVB or since everyone has weibo, send to weibo, with a link and a nicely drafted letter and ask him whether he has any comment on his win and whether you can post up his comments at a specific URL. Other than that, believe me writing to TVB’s artiste dept is like writing a letter and throwing into the ocean. They have too many letters, they don’t care.

if you’re wondering if they do reply, as in the actor himself, depends. Before weibo, some do. After weibo, probably everyone will. If they have Twitter, well tweet them.

        That’s my suggestion.

And make sure the letter is in both English and Chinese.

      8. “Hmm…but how do we go about contacting these artistes and even getting them to come here to say a mini thank you speech?”

Don’t bother. They won’t. Better just as I suggested contact them directly and then asking for comments.

        OR a more fool proof way;

Get someone who is in HK to print out the results, do something nice like a small booklet with words of congratulations from fans of the winners and why they chose him (PG rated would be better), make a small tiny trophy and a personalised message include the URL and ask for comment if possible, send to TVB physically. That might actually reach that actor and most of the time since this is unique, it will.

If the person is not with TVB, then to their management company directly.

      9. @Funn Lim:

Thanks for your opinions and suggestions to this matter, you clarified some of my doubts as well, which is why I think the most ‘workable’ method is to contact them directly through Weibo. Cause I was thinking that artistes being artistes, they would definitely want to retweet it to “flaunt” to the world that they won some sexiest award, as a testament to their popularity. So in this way, it could also generate free publicity for Jaynestars as well. ROFL at my thinking! :X

And jaw drop at this -> ” You will be lucky they don’t send a demand letter to cease using their copyrighted images, which they did some time ago. I even wrote to TVB legal dept, ask them why the hell they do that. The usual reply, copyrighted stuff, etc.”

Wow, what did you do? Did you have some website or something? How did they caught wind of it? :O

      10. Ah K, I think Weibo is the way to go for those who has it, Twitter for some, facebook if got, if not contact the manager directly.

There was a time TVB went witch hunting, sending demand legal letters to fansites sporting the name TVB, for uploading clips and using images. Which may explain the lack of official channel TVB in Youtube? Is there one? Anyway I didn’t get the letter, many I knew did, since my blog didn’t have TVB’s name in it. It was the images, clips. I was so pissed off I wrote to TVB I think was it the pr dept or legal dept, some years ago and asked about the letters and why we get penalised when we are just using some clips, the images to further promote them and give them free publicity. The reply was polite, it was from the legal dept who wrote the images were copyrighted, therefore we should stop using them.

After a while all died down. It only affected those blogs with the words TVB in it from my recollection. Frankly halfway I think TVB realised they are idiots to write such letters. For me those who will be closed down are those who distributes the series openly, but just short clips, images, shouldn’t be worried. It was like the Harry Potter – Warner Bros thing, except TVB was half hearted, Warner Bros meant what they warned about.

No worries to those using images and short clips.

      11. P/S Even if Jayne could get the winner here and post a message, let me ask you will you believe he is who he says he is? No no, better official letter which you can repost with the email address clearly or scanned letter.

      12. @Funn Lim:

In my recollection, TVB did have their own official account on YouTube. But they only uploaded lame trailers, think they allegedly went really hard on those who tried to upload full drama episodes on YouTube by probably asking YouTube to take them down cause one day, full episodes of TVB dramas ceased to exist on YouTube, save for a couple of fan-made snippets from episodes.

“After a while all died down. It only affected those blogs with the words TVB in it from my recollection”

You are right about this cause I did recall a particular drama fansite called TVBSquare and the owner allegedly received a legal letter from TVB, demanding for him or her to change the title of the site and plug out any usage of the word “TVB” in the title of his or her site and that was even though the owner had stated a disclaimer that the site was not in any way affiliated to TVB at all. :O

    2. Kevin has weibo but I rarely saw him there.

LF dun have one and I dun think he plans to have one.

Ruco I don’t know because I don’t track him. Maybe yes, maybe no. Ask his fan?

      Bosco has one.

    3. Funn, Ah K,
Thanks for your suggestions. I’ll likely take a multi-layered approach: leave message on Weibo, TVB blog, and contact fan club organizers if possible to get word across.

      1. Funn, Ah K,
Btw, I really like the idea of sending an engraved trophy to the winner. Since there will not be an awards ceremony, it is nice for the actor to receive a physical token of the title and fan support! If only he knew about the frenzied voting required for the win!

How to ensure that he will receive actual trophy in hand? Just mail to TVB with his name on it?

      2. @Jayne:

Welcome! I think I shouldn’t be a nosy-parker and interfere further and should maintain my silence on this matter now heehee! But knowing you Jayne, I’m sure you would already have the perfect solution thought out and I trust that you would do a perfect job on this!

Do let me know if there is any way I can help or if you need my help k! Can always email me yeah! 😀

“How to ensure that he will receive actual trophy in hand? Just mail to TVB with his name on it?”

I don’t know about the practice in Hong Kong but here in Singapore, we will put it in a box then address it to the Artiste Department of *** Company with his name written on top of it and the artiste would receive it.

      3. if possible it would be much better to give it to him personally and make video with his reaction 🙂

it would be a good advertisement for “jaynestar” as well.

anyone here that are reliable and lives in hk?

      4. i doubt leaving a message on weibo is going to work. there will be thousands of messages for the artiste daily. what are the chances of him reading your message? yes.. people do comment on their post hoping that their comment will be read statistically the possibility is almost zero. nevertheless, there is no harm trying. just dont raise your hopes too high! =)

      5. The best way is to meet the artist and tell them about this, then take a camera with you to record or a paper for them to write. But someone of them won’t accept to do this and even dun bother to wait for you.

Second way is through FC. But sometimes the FC committee won’t bother to care for the unofficial online polls because they think only the official polls have meaning. And yeah, the artists may thank their FC instead of voters.

Third way is email to TVB or manager of the artists. But I dun think it’ll work.

Last way is the weibo/TVB blog but they won’t track the weibo/TVB blog much. Better to contact with a fan who is close to the artist and tell her/him to post it on weibo/TVB blog. This requires the fans to have contact with the HK fan.

Oh, still have another way but it’s kinda annoying. Spam the link in their weibo or TVB blog in every topic until they have to see.

Well, I think the chance for artists with not too many fans to know this is higher than the ones with huge fanbase.

      6. “How to ensure that he will receive actual trophy in hand? Just mail to TVB with his name on it?”

Possibly. But best way is either

        1. get someone in HK to deliver personally OR

        2. depending on who is the winner, when there is a meet the fan session pass it to him/manager personally

      7. BTW, do you make a real champion cup for the winners, Jayne?

      8. Fox,
I am considering getting a trophy for the winner. hehehe it will not be 24k gold though. Let me think about everyone’s suggestions carefully before proceeding. Thanks!

      9. Lol, in gold? Gold price is crazy now. You seriously need to reconsider :D. Give it to the artists who are already rich isn’t a work of fan. Let the rich companies do it, hehe.

      10. Haha I think an online ceremony is enough. We are poorer than them :P, so we should save money.

      11. How about contacting Fan and Kam? maybe this poll’s result can become a topic to their show?

      12. Fan and Kam? Nope. This is for the artists to promote the airing series more. And contact it is just the same to contact TVB, lol.

Fan and Kam shows are often boring. Watch Scoop is even less boring.

  18. I had 4 IPs, is that fair for others if I keep voting for Ruco?

    1. don’t worry, just do whatever you feel is right. I went to web bar everyday to vote for Raymond, they have 100 PC there:(

  19. OMG, cannot stand Ruco – sorry Ruco fans.. he’s just another ATV dowdy!

However, alot of the others are all so sexy – so hard to choose. My top vote would go for Andy Lau but running up would be (in no particular order): Benjamin Yuen, Louis Koo, Aaron Kwok.

Ron Ng & Raymond Fung cannot be classified has sexy but are drop dead handsome! :p

    1. No personal attack!! It’s matter of individual preferences. Respect others decisions. I personally like Andy Lau too, but I’ll not attack others choices.

      1. Hi, Fox.. “Do you do it yourself? Are you referring wether I’ve attack others or not? Kinda yes, one below.. because I felt it was such insult to an artist, but I did not point out names.

      2. I guess I was a little frustrated with the negative comments that was posted. Yeah, I admit, I suck too!

      3. Win said Sorry :). Just accept a fact that not everyone in the world like the one you like then you will feel better. If Ruco is getting more famous, more harsh comments than the one posted will come.

BTW, you said you attacked others below, then do you feel afraid that fans of the attacked ppl will say the same thing you said to Win to you?

    2. Fox, you may misunderstand me, “personal attack”, I meant attack on the individual artist not matter of opinions.

      1. I understand what you meant, only feel curious that do you feel afraid that others will tell you “No personal attack!! It’s matter of individual preferences. Respect others decisions.” to your post? Or you think that only Ruco needs to protect and others not?

    1. Ah ha, you remind me of an ads of Hawick where he showed body. Nice body.

  20. Is Ruco lying about his age? hes looks way older than 34. Must have had a hard life. ROFLMAO!!!!!!!

    1. try to put yourself in his shoes, you might look older than 34 too.olo

      1. yep, I tried to imagine myself in his shoes, and I look hellva fab for 34, which is a long way from now =))Kevin Cheng, Ekin Cheng, Aaron Kwok and Chilam Cheung are all over 40 and still look fab and they have been in showbiz longer than Ruco and IMO look better and younger than him 😀

      2. Oh and forgot to add in Kenneth Ma and Raymond Wong too 😛

  21. You have just proved my opinion on Tavia fans is totally correct, lol. I really expected more from you but well, you are so childish.

    1. Oh, in case you don’t understand, I’m mentioning of the crazy fans like you. Not the normal fans I’m mentioning so don’t need to say the word “generalise”.

    2. What does the word “generalise” mean? Fox, thank you for you support. We all here to support our hunks, not trash them.

    3. Verb 1. generalise – speak or write in generalities
      generalize
mouth, speak, talk, verbalise, verbalize, utter – express in speech; “She talks a lot of nonsense”; “This depressed patient does not verbalize”
      2. generalise – draw from specific cases for more general cases
      extrapolate, generalize, infer
conclude, reason, reason out – decide by reasoning; draw or come to a conclusion; “We reasoned that it was cheaper to rent than to buy a house”
overgeneralise, overgeneralize – draw too general a conclusion; “It is dangerous to overgeneralize”
universalise, universalize – make universal; “This author’s stories universalize old themes”
      3. generalise – cater to popular taste to make popular and present to the general public; bring into general or common use; “They popularized coffee in Washington State”; “Relativity Theory was vulgarized by these authors”
      popularise, popularize, vulgarise, vulgarize, generalize
popularise, popularize – make understandable to the general public; “Carl Sagan popularized cosmology in his books”

      generalize
spread, distribute – distribute or disperse widely; “The invaders spread their language all over the country”

      http://www.thefreedictionary.com/generalise

  22. with Tavia’s lying, she better becareful that her nose doesn’t get bigger and longer, its hideous as it is =))

  23. Its useless voting, so obvious that “Uncle Ruco” will win

    1. yeah right, just as “plastic playa ray” will be runner up 🙂

    2. haha!! there is a month more before we will know the results.. 1 month does makes a different ya.. anyway it is just for fun.. enjoy!!

  24. Jayne,
I just had to vote Aarif Lee after you posted that sina clip!

BTW, I am new to this site. I’m glad to have found a place where other people are as obsessive about TVB celebrity as I am.

  25. LMAO! Ruco has twice as much votes as Raymond Lam. 😀

There will be a direct sequel to TOT and Ruco will reprise his role as Keith, yay or nay?

  26. In my eyes, Kevin Cheng is no 1. He is more handsome than Ruco. Kevin’s fans…Where are you? vote for Kevin

  27. OMG,
Everyone has their different standards in what makes a sexy man. As this is a celebration award, let’s focus on the positive rather than bash other people’s choices. Haha no more “dirty campaigning,” but you are welcome to promote the candidates of your choice.

    1. That is why I choose not to vote since I like way too many to vote for just one…

    1. Yes I’m jealous of his old and mature looks *coughs* I wanna look 10 years older when I’m 34 =))

      1. LOL, using “jealous” as an excuse for backing up for your idol after they get bashed? Yep 🙂

      2. yay, I see ,bashers, bbbashing people is one’s attempt to overcome jeolous hay?

  28. lolz, i remember not knowing who the — he was before in burning flames 3. i dont bother with the votes anymore because this poll (in my perspective) just proves how ‘crazy’ online fans can be..doesn’t really determine how many.
