Anita Yuen & Chilam Cheung Both Quit Smoking--Pregnancy Rumors Persist

Yesterday, Julian Cheung Chi Lam, Patrick Tang, and Ronald Cheng Chung Gei appeared at a promotional event. Since Chi Lam's last public appearance, his face appeared to be chubbier and looked as if he gained weight. Chi Lam said that he has stopped smoking and girlfriend, Anita Yuen Wing Yee has quit smoking too. But Chi Lam denied that they quit smoking because of Anita's alleged pregnancy.

Since Chilam has quit smoking, he has gained 10 pounds within one month. Chilam said that Anita actually quit smoking first. That is the reason why she has gained weight as well. But the reason why both of them quit smoking is not because of Anita's alleged pregnancy. The most important thing is a healthier lifestyle.

Chilam and Anita quitting smoking at the same time automatically made reporters think of baby rumors. Earlier, Anita was spotted buying baby products. Chilam explained that Anita's younger sister has just given birth. Anita was very excited in becoming an aunt, so she went shopping for baby products.

Chilam will be filming in May and is full of confidence that he can lose the weight he gained by that timeframe. But Chilam will not be utilizing the services of a slimming company to lose weight; he prefers to exercise on his own.

Jayne's Thoughts- Let's count the reasons why Anita's pregnancy rumors have persisted for the last 2 months:

1. At an interview in Taiwan, Chilam said that Anita was pregnant. Anita later denied and said that Chilam's poor mandarin caused the misunderstanding.
2. Anita was spotted buying baby products
3. Anita spotted chubbier and looking swollen in recent photos

If Anita's weight gain was due to her quitting smoking, why didn't Chilam clarify baby rumors much earlier using this reason? Everything seems very coincidental, but I guess it's all a waiting game. We'll find out in the next few weeks...hopefully it won't take months to figure this one out.

Interestingly, reporters seemed to have stopped running those rumors about Leon Lai's girlfriend, Gaile Lok's pregnancy. But Anita's have continued...hehe when she goes out shopping looking like above photo, she really does look pregnant!

I had no idea either of them smoked. Kind of a turn-off...but glad they stopped. Smile

Anyway, I think she may really be pregnant and that they're just waiting out the initial 3 month period before they tell the rest of the world, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part. Razz

Alicechen & Quackiechau-- Yes I was surprised too because I've never seen photos of Anita nor Chilam with a cigarette before.

But then, so many celebrities smoke because it is one surefire way to stay up during late night filming. If you're filming for 14 hour days; the easiest way to say awake is with a cigarette.... Crying or Very sad

Anita looks so pregnant in the photo. I don't know if it's a bad shirt, but it looks as if her belly is protruding. And in all her recent photos, she's been wearing a lot of sweats and no make-up. She's really dressed down (almost like a soccer mom) when she's not filming. Wink

Thanks for the news Jayne! I like Julian in Legend of the Condor Heroes because his role is innocent and dumb but loyal in love and for his country. He has the cutest dimples out there! Smile

It is surprised me that both, Chilam and his gf, were smoke. Rolling Eyes

I'm glad they stop because it's healthier.

In the pix, Anita DOES looks pregrant. If she is pregrant then she can't hide it because her stomach will get bigger and bigger. I don't know why they are trying to "hide" or they are afraid of the paparazzi will follow them all days??

I actually hope that chilam doesnt lose any weight. He looks much healthier now, I remembered before he looked quite skinny and very tired. Wish him and Anita all the best!

Actually its well known that Anita was a heavy smoker and she smoked for many years.
