• @davy - Don't forget Ady An! she has very beautiful natural eyes as well. These days almost every actor not only has big eyes but porcelain white skin, v-shape face and the "skinny" tall nose feature. No one is original anymore because every one looks the same. I really miss the 70/80/90s look actors had back then. I really hate this whole flower boy look Chinese actors has these days. What happened to masculine men? I feel so embarrassed for them lol. They don't look like guys... but not girls either. lord help them lol.
  • @karina Yhea it is unfortunate that eyes like that made me very paranoia and suspicious of plastic surgery. Especially on women like Li yitong whose silk worm baggy eye never at least shuts once in comparison with Joseph. The last time I remember anybody having such big beautiful exotic eyes were Zhao Wei and her beautiful sister Ruby Lin, I thought theirs were so big already, but these days eyes are getting even bigger than that.
  • Almost everybody seems to be ok with Chen Yuqi as Min Min because of her success in Princess Wei Young as a playful naughty princess. Why not just choose the boy who played Li Minde to be Wu Ji as well? He looks very young, but since Joseph Zeng looks young as well, Li Minde actually has really good acting skills and matches Chen Yuqi very well. They probably got many shippers too. The girl for Zhi Ruo seems to look much more mature standing next to Chen Yuqi, and she likely won't escape from the comparison to Gao Yuanyuan.
  • The terrible thing was Jia Nailiang decided to forgive in the first place but every single body online calls him a green hat and cuckold to the point where it makes it even harder to forgive. Not saying she deserves to be forgiven, or should be forgiven or anything, but some people do prefer to take the forgiving route in order to save the relationship and children's feelings, which Jia Nailiang probably don't really have the chance like a normal person would because everybody knows who he is and nobody is encouraging him to make his own decision. The terrible fate of being a star. He wants people to stop noticing them and give them space to make their decisions but it's so hard because many people are looking forward to a divorce, she doesn't deserve him, etc. Whatever choice he makes, it will be the best for him and his family, we should not interfere.
  • @mangotango Yes, but also very hard to accept. Because Monk Tang Sanzang is very cultivated. Sun Wukong as well. Only the other 2 disciples are easier to manipulate. The stretch for Monk Fahai in Green Snake may be more appropriate but, Monk Tang Sanzang... I rather leave him alone and away from the idea of romance.
  • @elizabeth I totally agree actors need stunts for dangerous scenes!!! The stunts are very skilled and won't likely get hurt. It's almost hard to describe that she got injured from Legend of Luzhen when that was not even a fighting character. If the scene is dangerous, it has nothing to do with dedication but safety. We care about the stunt's safety as well, it's not as if they're less important and it's ok if it was only them who ended up injured, it's just they are just skilled in what they're doing so hand over the scene to them. But, ahem...kneeling though? I would argue that's not really dangerous. The picture I saw was not the one the princess stepping on her but I think we are referring to the one at the dessert with a bunch of soldiers. I actually think the most ridiculous picture was the one with a lady massaging LGX, I just don't get how that can be time saving you know...somebody else have to dress up entirely like you and do the massaging or kneeling scene for 5 seconds only. We're pretty sure the actor is absolutely on set at the same time/place as well...otherwise, does that mean everybody else have to shoot the same scene 2-3 times, dress in the same thing again, and also decorate the place the same way again to shoot the scene with the real actor there for the 2nd time? Because they were continuous scenes, after the stunts did their part for 2 seconds, the scene still continue in that same setting. So it's interesting to use stunts for time saving concepts. But I blame the directors though, they don't know the actors faces need to look dirty and bloody after a big fight, at most all actors get is a small tiny scratch on their faces only...directors focus too much on making sure the actors look pretty/handsome. I think that must be the reason why they are using stunts for some weird scenes that turns out to look unnecessary. But another thing I kind of wished that happen, I wish there were more professional stunts to do some fast fighting scenes instead, and it doesn't really matter all that much if we noticed them. Just like ROCH 06, there are a couple times we see stunts for LYF. But it was good and understanding because they were fighting so fast with amazing jumps, although LYF is so skillful, there are still some movements stunts are better at and they should do them. I don't quite agree with unskilled actors doing way too much of the fighting scenes because, all we get then is really really slow motion fighting that are not engaging. It is either, we see stunts or slow motion, and I have a preference to see the stunts instead because slow motion is just ridiculous, anybody can do that. When the stunts are so far away and fast moving, we almost don't see them and are not bothered by the fact they are stunts.
  • @davy He is a man after all hehehe.
  • "choose to love one person or all sentient beings?" Sounds like the monk fell love in modern times.
  • I was very surprised she was a stunt when she could have been a main leading actress. She has really good looks and skillful at stunts. That's a bonus she even has a degree too. LOL That's ridiculous Zhao Liying got stunts to kneel for her, but quite sure that's not 32 stunts, might just be a few.
  • @wm2017 I'm actually more surprised of the dull color, almost do not look like a house but office. Gray carpet, gray sofa, gray teddy bear, gray curtains, gray slide and gray swing (probably a toy set). Extravagant houses are not very warm with only 3 people inside, it would be nice to see celebrities appreciate living in small houses. What is the use of paying high utility bills for rooms you cannot split yourself into multiple people to live in each and every room for? But pretty sure their house is much bigger than just that room they're showing.
  • @davy Agree. The plot was definitely lacking, in terms of creativity and coherency. It was filled with plot holes, and a lot of it felt very contrived and senseless. Didn't help that the main lead (William Chan) delivered an incredibly wooden performance. I actually enjoyed the supporting cast much more. Also, wasn't a fan of the hair/makeup and costume design, as everything seemed very excessive. The second one looks like it might a step farther in the right direction, but that's not saying much.
  • So there is a beautiful story on Weibo that Joe Chen might actually be a heroine for her bestie Jia Nailiang from Destined to Love you, because the news about his wife is currently a very hot search online, Joe's DUI eventually became the top search to distract attention from Jia Nailiang's case. Don't know if that might be a true story, or if it's just accidental. But there seems to be so many articles recently, even news like Hawick Lau washing Yang Mi's underwear became news now hahah...
  • Fans are ridiculous! Stop attacking actors, it's the directors and producers.
  • Nicky Wu's production are always very unfortunate. Zhao Liying was extremely famous right after she finished the Journey of Flower, and she was styled up so pretty in Legend of Zu too but the drama is just so bad that I think the rating were not that good. Even Zhao Liying did not get high rating for a drama, so for the new actors, we need to wish them luck. I don't quite like dramas with lots of color and dull props (quite empty actually), but the storyline seems to definitely be the problem.
  • @dramas4me I feel that she looks very plastic! Having overly, extra-extra pale skin with red lips (thick) made it worse too. But whether she is plastic or not, I don't find her pretty like when she was a young little girl in Handsome Twins anymore. Her dimples are way too huge now, and her jaws shrinked that it looks scary. Every woman could be begging Jia Nai Liang under his feet just to be with him, while I can't see why any man would sincerely want Li Xiaolu.
  • I blame (us, myself too) netizens the most, many people made things sound like Jia Nailiang is a total green hat when he was aware of it already. He was doing his best to forgive, whether they agree he should or should not, almost everyone threw firing comments about such a personal family problem online. Although the cheating news was posted online (super hot topic), I think we shouldn't be harassing this personal family probem, although we really really want to blame and say bad things about Li Xiaolu because it's all her fault, doing so will actually hurt the innocent ones only, while it's not like Jia Nailiang is dumb and doesn't know what was going on. He is aware of his own problem, we don't have to remind him. This couple were able to perform well on the New Year's stage, he is such a strong guy, he was probably hoping people would stop saying things after seeing that he and Li Xiaolu are just fine together, he was probably protecting his daughter! It is so sad after hearing those words from him, he is such a funny person on Youtube who loves to make people laugh and smile!!! But, since the problem is already this far, I would like to comment that although Li Xiaolu may be a beauty, that's just the past!!! Her recent looks has been quite awful to be honest in my taste. I always imagined that if this couple were to ever separate, Jia Nai Liang must be the cheater only because he is extremely handsome and beautiful. Honestly, I have always truly thought that this guy is one of the top, and most handsome man of China. I was so surprised by this news. And the guy Li Xiaolu cheated with is not very handsome at all. Too bad for her, her big loss.
  • @davy Oh wow! Apparently, Vincent's character was in love with her as well. That must have required good acting.
  • @elizabeth It is an old drama with no eng sub and no information about it anymore, so I do not know too much about it too. But yes, it was a real (serious) drama. I really like to watch dramas with Vincent Jiao in it, so I happened to passed by this. The actress name is Yang Jun Jun, playing Zhang jie jie who Chu Liu Xiang ended up marrying, aha... I think the drama is only available at this website: https://vlog.xuite.net/play/cGgySTNILTI0MzQyMzA0LmZsdg==
  • @davy Can I ask was that a serious drama or a parody of something that was meant to be funny? The casting seems awfully strange.
