• I've always thought Helen Ng and Nancy Wu had similarities in their faces, she could so pass as Nancy's mum in a drama! And congrats to the happy couple, so sweet :)
  • I really liked the original series, and I like this one too. But I feel like a lot of the storyline in this is very similar to the first one. Also it's almost as if Priscilla and Pak Ho characters could easily have been played back by Charmaine and Raymond.
  • I'm so excited for the palace dramas, especially Deep in the Realm of Conscience! It's been a while since tvb has produced/aired their own. But I agree with others saying they need to up their game in the costume department. It wouldn't surprise me if they re-used costumes from their old palace dramas and just sewed a new thing on it and say it's new. Empress of China's costumes were simply beautiful, tvb needs to take notes! I remember loving Line Walker when it first came out, the movie however confused the heck out of me lol. I like the Pak Ho and Priscilla pairing since Seasons of Love 2, they just seem to gel and work together really well. Hope they don't ruin 2 and the plot actually flows and they manage to make a decent connection to the first series. Also looking forward to Heart of Greed, will be interesting to see the "new" younger generation in place of the "old" young generation, since so many of the old ones are a big deal these days e.g. Raymond Lam, Moses Chan, Fala Chan, Linda Chung.

  • I've actually liked Nancy since her Triumph in The Skies I days. With lots of top tvb actresses leaving, it was no wonder she won the first time round, it was either her or Kristal Tin but I was still rooting for her then since I'm a fan, but there wasn't much competition the 2nd time round at all. I was disappointed with her character in Unholy Alliance though, when she was serious it was ok, but then she over did it with the "flirting" if you'd call it that, and the sexual innuendos was flat. Judging by all the dramas that have been out so far, I think she would win for the third time, but with there being some anniversary dramas coming out soon her chances are definitely cut smaller.
  • @melodylai True, but to be honest, that should have little relevance because there are plenty of examples of artists in the same situation (born overseas, not knowing much Chinese, need scripts translated, etc.), but are still able to succeed in the entertainment industry without having to use the language thing as an excuse. If Grace is serious about having a career in HK, then she should put more effort into learning the language – in a way, it’s a respect issue for audiences who are watching her perform (this applies not just to Grace, but also any other artists who feel they have a ‘language barrier’ that limits their abilities). Like Dodo said when she “corrected” Grace’s mistake – as artists, they need to be accountable to the audiences who are supporting them by watching the show – which is why I appreciate the way Dodo handled the situation in terms of clarifying Grace’s meaning (without calling her out directly), but doing so in a half-joking manner so as not to embarrass Grace in public (Grace should feel lucky that there are senior artists like Dodo at TVB who are still willing to ‘put money in juniors’ pockets’ like that – many veteran artists have said that they don’t bother giving advice to juniors anymore because they had too many bad experiences with the current generation giving them attitude and not wanting to hear their advice). Yea, not sure why they had Karl host instead of the actual winner of Mr HK...maybe Jackson was busy (I don't recall seeing him attend the gala)...
  • I've read before (i think it's on this site) that she can't read much chinese characters, in dramas she has her script translated/someone to help her go through it, it is understandable though since she grew up overseas, I can relate as I was born and raised in England, I can barely read a full sentence of chinese characters.. even with having gone to chinese school for 2 years! Grace Chan aside, I'm quite surprised they let Karl host so soon, and that it's him over Jackson since he won Mr HK.
  • @hannah Me too! I use to look forward to watching it towards the end of the year, sad they're not airing it :(
  • Is TVB no longer airing/showing their Sales Presentation show any more? This year and last year they haven't aired it on TV, and not really shown many trailers/previews for upcoming dramas like they have in previous years. Most of it has just been on paper, would much rather see a video to get me more excited and anticipated for a release date for their dramas.
  • The guy has talent in acting, and he could've been one of the popular actors like Bosco, Raymond, the usual lot.. but he was so under used and had little exposure, if I was him, I would leave too! TVB are clearly not giving him enough opportunities, when he was finally 'recognised' he had to share his lead role with Him Law in Young Charioteers.
  • @melodylai The trailer isn't actually a trailer, but more like a pitch/teaser to convey the genre. Most of the clips used were scenes in previous tv dramas.
  • I thought the movie would be classed as the sequel to Line Walker so I'm surprised but happy to see a series 2 of Line Walker, I really enjoyed the first series. Benjamin is starting to get more noticed this past year, good for him, he is a great actor! and I like the new edition to the cast, kinda sad Charmaine isn't in it this time round, I really liked her in the first series. Also did anyone else notice the undercover from EU超時任務 is also in this trailer? I wonder if it's a crossover thing between the two shows! Ahhh I'm so excited for this!
  • The two of them has been pitted against each other ever since they debuted in MHK. I hope their friendship doesn't breakdown due to all these rumours/accusations from the media if they are genuine good friends behind the screens. I prefer Grace more than Sisley, but as of late, I can see a massive improvement in Sisley, tvb is giving her better more likeable roles and after being in a film, it's clear to see she's matured in her performing skills. So she's growing on me and I find her a lot easier to watch nowadays.
  • Oh wow, nice to see so many old faces who use to be at tvb! It's also nice to see Charmaine's circle of friends are a diverse mixture in popularity and status even though she is quite a big celebrity, compared to Myolie's circle where they're all more or less equal in status. Also, I didn't know Florence Kwok and her were good friends, I would never have imagined it or thought of them together as friends.
  • OMG YAY! I loved these series, hopefully it all works out and everything goes smoothly so that there's a high certainty these series will definitely air, also if not all, most of the original casts comes back. Possibly these sequels could maybe put tvb back on the map?
  • This is why I like Joyce. She doesn't succumb to the asian beauty standards, she just does her and allow others to do them. There are a lot western celebrities who openly talks about the topic body shaming, but not many asian celebs do, so it's nice and refreshing to see it from Joyce. Well done her!
  • Personally, I'm liking Blue Veins so far, I always can't wait for the next episode to come out, probably cause it's my kind of show. But I must admit they have over done it with the special effects, it's so exaggerated and looks more like it should be in an animation more than a live action drama.
  • You can tell in the drama that Kay is not an experienced actress, she needs to work on the tone of her voice, one minute it's soft and sweet the next her voice sounds mature and deep. However, I do find her so easy and comfortable to watch on screen, I'm liking her character so far, her mannerisms (if that's the right word) is so funny!
  • It took me a good few episodes to get into this drama, but the storyline kept me coming back to watch the next episode even though I wasn't that into it at the start. By mid-series I was so emotionally invested into it and it kept me on the edge of my seat, the last 4 episodes took me on a bloody rollercoaster of emotions though haha! With a cliff hanger like that, you can tell TVB wanted an open ended ending so that if it gained positive reviews they have the option to do a sequel in the near future.
