Bosco Wong Films “A Man Cannot Be Poor”

Bosco Wong’s (黃宗澤) A Change of Heart <好心作怪> costar, Niki Chow (周麗淇), took some time off her schedule to visit the actor on the set of the Hong Kong film  A Man Cannot Be Poor <男人唔可以窮>, which was shooting on location at the Prince’s Building in Central on January 4. The plain-faced Niki was seen happily chatting with Bosco while he was on a filming break.

The film also stars Stephy Tang (鄧麗欣) and Rose Chan (陳嘉桓), who were shooting on location with Bosco. The scene being filmed was about Stephy getting picked up by a wealthy man, and Bosco, who stars as Stephy’s on-and-off boyfriend, got angry at Stephy’s betrayal and punches the man. The two began to heatedly argue. Rose, portraying a busty office lady, tried to break up their fight. To spite Stephy even further, Bosco grabbed Rose’s hand and told Stephy that they are a couple.

The rowdy scene gathered a large group of bystanders to watch the filming. During break, Bosco also did some shopping at a nearby jewelry store.

A Man Cannot Be Poor is a romantic comedy that is based on the short novel of the same name by Sit Ho Ching (薛可正), who first published the story for free on the Hong Kong Golden Forum. The novel, which was loosely based on his own life, earned rave reviews for its touching story and humor. The novel was one of the more popular Hong Kong novels of 2012, and was republished six times in four months.
