Daniel Wu’s “Control” Releases Final Trailer

Kenneth Bi’s (畢國智) new suspense thriller Control <控制> is set to hit cinemas across mainland China on November 22. The film stars Daniel Wu (吳彥祖), who is also involved as executive producer along with his good friend, Stephen Fung (馮德倫). A final trailer was released online on November 7.

Set in the future, Control tells the story of Mark (Daniel Wu), whose fate is increasingly controlled by a mysterious person. Mark’s life spirals downward when he receives a haunting phone call from a mysterious caller, “You are only nine minutes from your own ruin.” Afterwards, Marks finds himself being manipulated into perjury, a bank robbery, and various evil deeds. As his life collapses before him, will Mark able to expose the mysterious person’s true identity and break away from the his/her control in time?

According to sources, the blueprint of Control is based on an American suspense novel. Director Bi immediately purchased the rights to adapt the novel after reading the story and wrote the film’s script himself.

The film also carries a star ensemble from Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan, including Yao Chen (姚晨), Simon Yam (任達華), Leon Dai (戴立忍), Shao Bing (邵兵), and Ady An (安以軒).

After attending to Control’s promotional events, Daniel will take a temporary hiatus to dedicate time to his family and five-month old daughter.

      1. I just don’t think this guy has what it takes besides his appearance and even that I think is getting more faggot looking as he grow older. His acting never reaches a good standard and he keep collaborating with the same people over and over again. In his more successful movies, he’s mostly only a supporting role.

      1. @HTS, IMO not really. It’s just that I find bbfanny’s comments funny. However, I personally think Asian male who are fair and lack of armpit/leg hairs somehow more effeminate – too hairy is a turnoff (whether male or female), but hairless guys are just… weird.
Anyway, back to Daniel Wu – the above photo does show him in a bad light.

      2. Sorry, the term I used should be in quotes cos there’s pun intended and I don’t mean it as showing him to be a bad guy.
Anyway, this photo does no justice to his looks/figure at all. Too pale/fair, sloping shoulders, dumbstruck look with mouth wide open… 🙁

    1. He does look like Voldermort there with that pale skin. Euw please wear something, his pale skin looks wimpish and slimy.

  1. >>” it’s the flash~ if you guys have any photography mind, you’ll know it’s the lighting and flash, that enhance the fair skin.

    1. I think most of us know that, we’re just having some fun at his expense. Sorry to his fans if they feel offended.
