Chilam Cheung Promises Prizes and Fun at Summer Concert

Chilam Cheung (張智霖) will be holding a solo concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum this summer. To ensure a fun and interactive experience, Chilam is planning to invite fans onto the stage to play games for prizes, and promises that everyone will have something to take home.

Although he has been singing since the 1990s, Chilam did not get the chance to perform at the highly-coveted arena until 2011. While his music career remains active, in recent years he has been performing in smaller venues and often paired up with other headlining artists.

Perhaps due to his success in Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲霄II> and a new management contract, Chilam has been invited to hold a solo concert again at the Coliseum this year. For now, he is scheduled to perform three shows from July 6 through July 8, though he is open to the possibility of adding more dates. The event reportedly costs over $10 million HKD to produce, and has attracted many major sponsors.

Calling his concert “Chilam Crazy Hours Live“, Chilam hopes to have a good time together with his fans. “I feel that concerts should not have just singing and dancing, but also a chance to interact with the audience below the stage. I promise to spend a crazy night with everyone.”

To add even more energy to the show, Chilam will invite fans to play games on stage where they may win surprise prizes. With so many sponsors, he guarantees that everyone will leave the concert with something, promising that there will at least be a can of free drink to take home.

Although preparations are going smoothly, Chilam and his team are currently dealing with an unexpected hiccup. Some Mainland channels have apparently began unofficial ticket pre-sales, taking money from unsuspecting fans. Chilam warned fans to be extra cautious to avoid falling victim to these scams. “Don’t rush. It is the safest to purchase tickets directly from the bank or from my fan club. Besides, there may be a surprise waiting for everyone!”

  1. Okay, this pic of Chi Lam looks kinda creepy…

    1. Strongly disagree! Don’t see any problem of this photo. It’s just his pose for his concert.

    2. Agree … creepy it is. With some zombie makeup, he could be one of the dancers in Michael Jackson’s Thriller music video

    3. Haha. I like the picture. He did look crazy in that photo which I guess suits the title of the concert. The picture has a very Gothic feel to it.

      1. Please do not insult the Gothic genre like this. There is absolutely nothing Gothic about the picture, the pose or the wannabe-enigmatic look on his face.
And Chilam, please stop perming your hair. Ruco is able to pull it off (and then just barely), you can’t.

  2. I imagine there will be a huge audience and how will he be able to control those crowding the stage? Strange kind of concert to me.

  3. he has been popular again after TITS2..his lucky star has been shining brighter again with more money flowing in.. he really is lucky have fame, look, body, fortune and great happy family.. he consider most lucky artist

  4. promises that everyone will have something to take home.

    probably an empty promise.

    1. this is subjective. taking home good memories is also considered as “something to take home”

    2. “Chilam Cheung Promises Prizes and Fun at Summer Concert”
Pleading with his fans to fill the Coliseum. Good luck bud!

    3. It doesn’t have to be tangible. Everyone will have something to take home – true, they either walk away with having a great time or a terrible time. Either way, they got something out of it

  5. Chilam had been. An tv artist for so many years
And a lot people loved his songs I’m very sure that his fans would go and look at his concert

    1. Come on! How creepy is it? It’s doesn’t look scary to us.

  6. this is a pretty bad pic. looks like ghost/serial killer. i can see how the photographer thinks it’s a cool pic though.

  7. Think it is lacking make up. Would prefer it with more effects. Not creepy enough neither too good looking. To me, looks like work of an amateur.
