Faye Wong Teased About Nicholas Tse at “Back in Time” Press Conference
The Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) and Faye Wong (王菲) reunion is still taking the public by storm. Though both stars are staying mum about their relationship, netizens and even fellow artistes are constantly updating the public about their latest whereabouts.
Recently, several Chinese netizens spotted Faye and Nicholas eating at a spicy soup restaurant in Beijing. The fan uploaded the photo to Weibo and gave Nicholas and Faye her blessings. Another netizen claimed that she saw Faye taking Nicholas to a famous spa and massage parlor she frequented. An employee at the parlor revealed that Faye never took her ex-husband Li Yapeng (李亞鵬) to the spa before.
Eddie Peng Teases Faye Wong
On November 4, Faye Wong made a surprise appearance at a press conference for the upcoming Chinese film Back in Time <匆匆那年>, an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Jiu Ye Hui (九夜茴). After showcasing the film’s theme music video, Faye made a surprise appearance at the conference to perform the film’s theme song “Back in Time.”
Like the film’s lead stars Eddie Peng (彭于晏), Ni Ni (倪妮), and Wei Chen (魏晨), Faye dressed conservatively in a white button-up shirt and black slacks. The cast interviewed Faye about the theme song, asking her for her favorite phrase in the song’s lyrics. When Faye could not come up with an answer, Eddie joked that her favorite lyrics were, “Our lotus root is broken, but the threads still connect.” Faye laughed and said, “Please don’t ask so many questions.”
Eddie, who also recorded the theme song, praised Faye’s vocal talent and stage presence, expressing that the theme song is very difficult to perform due to its fast lyrics. Faye admitted, “It’s a hard song. I had to record it two times. This version [that was performed] was recorded only a few days ago.” Eddie responded in shock, “Only two times? I spent two days recording!”
