Hawick Lau and Yang Mi Release Theme Song to “Sheng Xia Wan Qing Tian”
Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (杨幂) continue to spread their love through the modern romance drama, Sheng Xia Wan Qing Tian <盛夏晚晴天>, which is also Hawick’s debut work as producer. The mainland Chinese drama, which premiered on February 15, is currently airing to generally favorable reception on Hunan Jingshi.
The drama stars Yang Mi as Xia Wanqing, the careful and stern daughter of the Chairman of Hua Xia Holdings, a real estate business. After going through a string of betrayals and painful situations, Wanqing is misunderstood to be a calculative woman, and her prominence in the business world quickly deteriorates. Only the womanizing Qiao Jinfan (Hawick Lau), the only heir to a large business conglomerate, believes in Wanqing. Amused by Wanqing’s wooden personality, Jinfan decides to help her out by taking her hand in marriage.
Yang Mi Invites “Palace” Theme Song Producer
Yesterday, mainland China’s Tencent QQ released the full theme song to Sheng Xia Wan Qing Tian on their website, which is performed by Hawick and Yang Mi. Yang Mi invited good friend, Tan Xuan (谭璇), to compose the drama’s theme song. Tan is best known for composing the soundtrack to Yu Zheng’s (于正) Palace <宫>, which was Yang Mi’s milestone to fame.
By combining the usage of light pop melodies and a classical violin solo, Sheng Xia Wan Qing Tian’s theme song, titled “If Love Turns Old” <如果爱老了>, is a suitable accompaniment for the drama’s fantasy-like love story. With the addition of Hawick’s deep voice and Yang Mi’s uniquely coquettish voice, the song is intensely sweet and quirky!

yang mi doesnt look like yang mi anymore. did she dabble in more plastics? a more shapely nose? its quite shiny and unnaturally pointy. her nose was gd before.

Yang Mi looks plastic. Her voice is “coquettish…intensely sweet and quirky?? What the heck? She sounds like Theodore in Alvin and the Chipmunks. I laughed when I saw Hawick Lau’s hair. Can they gel it any higher??
I know, his hair is bleh >_< the song sound horrible, kinda like bad background noise. His facial expression in those scenes are bad, forced and weird 🙁 her clothes are still bad, seriously a massive bow on the side isn't good fashion, and the force chemistry between them is wth -.- they meant to be real lover, and I don't like the wooing scenes since they are so ordinary -.- and yang mi, I love her best in mei ren xin ji, after that, I found she is pretty if u look straight on her face, not so much on the side, her acting has been weak also

Yang Mi’s singing is horrible, it’s nazy and the lyrics sounded ‘stuck’ in her throat. It’s a shame because Hawick did well.
Yang Mi looks different than when I first saw Liaozhai. She looked much prettier back then than now. Plastic surgery will not 100% give you a perfect look. Also, I think Yang Mi should stick to her acting.

Finally got a good look at Yang Mi to see what the rave was about her. Umm…she looks very plastic. She’s also too skinny! On a different note, Hawick looks good, lol They do make a cute couple. Her singing sucks though.

Oh gosh, I finally listened to it and Yang Mi cannot sing at all… Hawick actually sounds better than I thought. Yang mi sounds like she squeezing her nose…I hope that she does not sing anymore…
OMG, u have never heard her sing? You are lucky then cuz she does sing very very horribly. The voice is just not there no matter how hard she tries. That’s why i can never understand why they even let her sing theme song. I mean, i understand they like to do everything but think of our ears man..WTH…
Well there are plenty of bad “singers” and yet people STILL let them sing. One example is Ruby Lin. She released some albums and she sings just as badly as Yang Mi(if not worse).But people still bought her albums because they are die hard fans of her and just want to support her inspite of her bad singing.
Overall she is not pretty because it’s too unnatural, too much plastic surgery on the nose and the chin/jaw area and her singing was pretty bad. She’s too skinny, need to tone it up and add some character to it the body…looking like a chopstick isn’t sexy.
Hawick always had a good singing voice, but his Mandarin is terrible. YM should never ever sing! Her bird-voice is atrociously squeaky and ruins every song.
They both look relatively good in the clip, even if YM is looking more and more plastic and I find the “player” hair ridiculous on Hawick. He looks good for his age, but come on. He’s too old to play the rich playboy.

Holy smokes that was pretty bad… The instrumental it self sounded like some tvb background music and her voice was so high and nasally… Sounded like a chipmunk or something.
