Jolin Tsai’s New Music Video with Namie Amuro

Taiwanese superstar Jolin Tsai (蔡依林) is collaborating with Japanese’s hit pop singer, Namie Amuro in her song, “I’m Not Yours”.

For the first time, Jolin will be writing the lyrics and taking on the role as producer behind her song and music video for “I’m Not Yours”. As well, the song will also be Namie Amuro’s first Chinese single since her debut.

Both dressed in bright red period costumes, the two women showed off their long legs. Known for her elaborate costume changes in her music videos, Jolin later opts for a revealing black lingerie ensemble with a trench coat. Another still photo showed Jolin being tied to a chair with pink ribbons.

Although this marks the first collaboration between the two queen divas, Jolin and Namie treated each other like old friends on the set. Previously, Jolin only saw Namie when she attended her concerts in Taiwan. In 2012, Jolin and Namie’s managers arranged the two artistes to meet up and they became good friends since, dining out together and sharing their passion in music and desserts.

Playing her friendship card, Jolin invited Namie to be a part of her newest single. Despite her hectic schedule, Namie graciously accepted Jolin’s offer and filmed 12-hours straight in Taiwan before flying back to Japan at 4 a.m. the next day.

  1. There are no words to discuss how hyped I am for this lol. I love them both so much. This is a collab made in heaven.

  2. I’m actually excited for this.
Good to see Jolin actually stepping up and writing lyrics as well as producer.

  3. I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one excited for this collaboration. I like Jolin’s stuff from her Muse album and I love Namie Amuro since high school.

    1. When artists release new albums or are on the verge of releasing a new album, they often make music videos to promote the songs. Namie did it for Feel last year, when she released 4 music videos each a week apart, beyonce did the same thing when she made a music video for every song on her album Jolin did it for Muse in 2012 when 8 of the 11 songs on the album had videos of their own… It’s normal, also this video was only shot in this week. The release date could be next week, but it’s rumoured for the end of December/January.

  4. lmao…copy cat queen strikes again and this time its targeting queen lee hyori…typical.

  5. there must be something crippling about the Japanese entertainment industry – Amura Namie has great bones but not the kind of respect and serenity afforded Chinese counterparts
