Rainie Yang Afraid of Doctor’s Rectal Exam
After completing the Hong Kong leg of her “Love Voyage Concert”, Rainie Yang (楊丞琳) looks forward to performing at the Taipei Arena on March 23. In her Hong Kong Coliseum concert, Rainie sang while suspended upside down by wires; she groaned at what new “torture tactics” her management company will devise for her Taipei performance.
The limit of Rainie’s health has been pushed due to nonstop filming and stage performances last year. Due to lack of sleep, Rainie suffered nerve pain earlier and had to rely on painkillers. She is still seeking a solution for a coccyx, or tailbone injury, sustained from last August, which has been slow to heal.
A friend suggested that Rainie obtain a rectal exam, in which the doctor inserts a finger into the rectum to feel the area of the coccyx and examine the injury further. Rainie shuddered at the thought of a rectal exam and said, “I will not let a doctor insert her fingers inside!” Rainie vowed to try to prevent further injury through carefully choreographed dance steps.
However, Rainie’s body received another recent blow when she filmed the music video for her new song, “Love Voyage” <為愛啟程>, which is 7 minutes in length. Over 40 hours was required to film the music video, and 2 million TWD was spent on Rainie’s wardrobe alone.

Health versus stardom??? Too young…too immature to make the right decision. Get a female MD if necessary to placate her fears…
I agree and nothing can be more important than your health. All of the money and fame in the world cannot buy back your health. You cannot do anything without health… What is the point of having fame and fortune if you don’t even physically feel good??
If it’s concerning her health, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Even if it’s not the most exciting prospect, women have to deal with smear tests anyway… Not that I know what that’s like. Too young for that.
Yea, people who often do not do regular health check ups at times even lose their life since they could have detected and treated something that is curable and treatable… Sadly, many times people ignore serious health problems until it is too late…
pap smear? Not about age but when a woman is sexually active.
And 25 or over here in the UK. Well, I don’t think it’s a written rule, but a recommendation, at least.

She should and probably will take a 1 year hiatus later on. The body is hers, the health is hers. Her choice.
Not sure if she will take a whole year off, maybe a few months because if she disappears for too long, it will be harder for her to work her way up again… Sadly, sometimes people take fame and fortune too seriously and ignore their health.. yes, it is her choice…
It’s no joke having dat kind of injury d pain may get better but then it’s eternal! So sad for her!
