Show Luo Does Banana Act in Concert and Jabs at Anthony Wong
Show Luo (羅志祥) opened his Hong Kong Coliseum concert with bold dance moves, even performing a suggestive banana act with his female dancers. While Show’s dancing skills have earned him the title of “Dance King of Asia,” Anthony Wong (黃秋生) took no notice and barely knows who the Taiwanese singer is.
Show Luo was rumored to be rivals with Jay Chou (周杰倫) while fighting over Jolin Tsai’s (蔡依林) affections. Jay’s godfather, Anthony Wong’s comment, “Who is Show Luo?” sparked a flame war on Weibo in May 2012. When Show’s fans fired back in anger, Anthony remarked, “They are like fleas buzzing over feces…what’s the big deal for not knowing who he is!” Anthony’s reference to Show as “feces” further sparked outrage.
It appeared that Show was not ready to let Anthony’s insult easily pass. While performing at Hong Kong Coliseum last night, Show asked the audience, “Hi everyone! Do you know what my name is?” When fans shouted out his name, Show said, “Great, it’s good that you know!” Ten times throughout the concert, Show continued to ask his fans, “Do you know who I am?”
Despite the jabs at Anthony Wong, Show delivered a lively show in the first of four scheduled performances at the Coliseum, with his former idol, Jimmy Lin (林志穎) as a special guest star. Show danced intimately with his female dancers, with his hand hovering over a dancer’s chest, and another placed her hand in front of his groin. He even passed a banana in his mouth with dancers, sending press cameras flashing!
Anthony Wong Continues With Insult
When Anthony Wong was informed later that Show Luo had repeatedly asked fans whether they knew his name, Anthony remarked sarcastically, “Show Luo? Oh, Show Luo. I thought the name belonged to that person who talks about finance.” Anthony pulled lines from his earlier theater show and said, “On a quiet and starry evening, you doubt your own existence and ask yourself: Who am I? Who is this mou li?”
Oh dear! Anthony’s comments are not very nice. Sometimes they can be funny but seems he is steping over the line by calling Show “faeces”. Hope thsi does not spark up to be another Eric-Kenny-Oscar incident.

I watched him in some Taiwanese dramas b4 but surely lorr don’t really remember his name.
So, it’s right when Anthony mentioned that what a big fuss of not knowing another person even they are in the same industry.

He is a pretty popular and famous Taiwanese actor and singer. Maybe not as popular as Jay Zhou but still pretty well known…
isnt it a bit arrogrant for Show Lu to expect Anthony wong to know him? Anthony is in the movies industry and well respected. Whereas Show Lu is in the Taiwanese MUSIC….it’s like asking Tony Leung (keu wai), do you know who Show Lu is? I think he’ll go huh? as well. But if you ask Show Lu who Tony Leung is, it’s without a doubt he would know cause tony leung is an icon and legend. Show lu is not.
