“A Fist Within Four Walls” Spoilers: Final Boss Revealed

The following article contains spoilers for A Fist Within Four Walls, ending on August 28, 2016.

While the makers of A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄> are keeping fans guessing with the mysterious ending of their favorite characters, they have also, not so inadvertently, revealed the show’s final boss.

TVB kung fu drama A Fist Within Four Walls is drawing viewers back into watching TVB, and its action-packed yet suspenseful storyline has been keeping online discussion boards on the edge of their seats.

Last week, it was revealed that Fa Man (Grace Wong) is Kuen Lo’s (Ruco Chan) long-lost sister, and that she had been staying hidden in the Kowloon Walled City to avenge for her father’s death. She discovers that the three fighters who attacked her father in jail were Or Man-cheung (KK Cheung), Fung Chun-mei (Carlo Ng), and Fuk Sau-kam (Vincent Lam), the three main leaders of the city’s largest triad organization. Fa Man has already killed Fuk Sau-kam and Fung Chun-mei, leaving Or Man-cheung to be her last target.

With two of the three bosses down and still over a week of episodes left, viewers are wondering if Or Man-cheung would really be the last boss standing—but there is still one final boss on the loose.

In a recent episode, Tiu Lan (Nancy Wu) revealed to Kuen Lo that she used to be a member of an assassination organization. All assassins are tattooed with an image of a wolf on their chests, and the person who killed Ngah Lo’s (Benjamin Yuen) father was one of those assassins.

Fans are guessing that the Assassin—or final boss—may actually be the put chai ko store owner Yeung Chuk-luen (Jimmy Au), who has a puzzling backstory. He appears to be supportive of Kuen Lo and Ngah Lo’s heroic deeds of saving the city, but he is in fact a hidden martial arts master.

This revelation shouldn’t really be a surprise—when TVB first launched the drama’s official website, they shared a still that showed Kuen Lo, Ngah Lo, and But Tak-liu (Lam Tsz-sin) attacking Yeung Chuk-luen. This still was deleted soon after the drama aired.

In a behind-the-scenes video that TVB shared a while ago, Kuen Lo, Ngah Lo, Tiu Lan, and Tai Po (Yuen Qiu) are seen attempting to take down Yeung Chuk-luen together, but fail.

If everything goes as planned, Yeung Chuk-luen would eventually die under Kuen Lo and Ngah Lo’s Bajiquan strikes.

  1. Not surprised if this was the case, I mean you have Jimmy Au in a martial arts drama and for some odd reason he barely gets to do any action lol.

Also the fight scenes are much much better than Blue Veins.

    1. @lileric blue veins was a disaster…the fighting scenes were so fake.

So pudding boss is indeed the real mastermind. I was thinking why he was so noble to protect his employees and get beaten up….that was to get sympathy. But that Or Man cheung is the most despicable…planting bombs to kill 拳佬 and 牙佬。

  2. Come on THAT IS A HUGE SPOILER!! I never guessed. I did think he may be hidden good guy, but if hes boss so all that beating.. does it mean fook sau kam didn’t know who is his boss? Or was the boss of wolve so young back then? Shouldnt this guess star like Chow Yun Fat sort of gravitas and age? Oh oh oh Anthony Wong…

    1. @funnlim

Not much of a spoiler! I worked it out literally in the first few episode Jimmy Au appeared. It was quite clear when he used the excuse of saving his workers rather than saving citizens it didn’t add up. Getting beaten up is not enough of a reason for him not to be the boss compared to the overwhelming evidence that he could be. When he was handed the drugs it was obvious that it written so he he switched the case and a non-drug was burnt instead. Just another typical TVB style plot. The biggest giveaway I must say is having Jimmy Au playing a nothing role(a pointless good guy that an extra could have played) for half the series in an action series and we all know Jimmy is good at action. Overall the acting has been brilliant, the plot of the 4 walls fighting world is great and the fighting scenes are top notch. The script has been a let down though. Doesn’t look like the writers have thought things through to ensure each scene made sense before adding them.

  3. Lol why Philips power so low one in the pic . I thought he is a strong fighter

  4. Tvb has revealed the spoiler.

Tonight 小智 will die…followed by 柯万长, 花曼,成虎 towards the end of the drama.

  5. And of course pudding boss is the big BOSS of the assassination group which Nancy belongs to.

    1. @janet72

In Line Walker almost anyone could have been one the undercovers and anyone could have been the final boss but here in this series there wasn’t any potential ‘big boss’ choices other than pudding man. TVB should have been more thoughtful and created more suspects to surprise viewers.

      1. @jimmyszeto it didn’t occur to me the pudding boss is the BOSS here…but I find it weird that the pudding boss seemed to be so caring towards his employees when he could hardly pull a punch in the triad city.

      2. @janet72
Yeh it’s all about watching many TVB series and experience from how they usually plan out. Sometimes the storyline gives it away. Sometimes it is not storyline but why the actor was cast in his role. The pudding boss good guy ‘nothing type of role’ should normally be assigned to an experienced extra and is much too small for Jimmy Au who happens to be good at action scenes and certainly much better and experienced than Ben and Ruco. So in this series both the storyline and the cast of the role gave it away. Line walker was impossible to find the big boss because if I can remember I think ‘King Sir’ didn’t appear in the whole series till the end. Also finding the undercovers wasn’t easy because one undercover was by a 3rd line actress and anybody who murdered others could also be the undercover. Undercovers usually never kill others in TVB series.

        Like TVB series usually go,

I expect Nancy to definitely die because 1. She is an assassin 2. The most important of all she has heart disease and in the history of TVB, I don’t think TVB have ever wrote in a character with heart disease who have survived otherwise why add the illness.

Grace to die because she has done most what the viewers expect her to do, ‘completed most of the revenge’ and characters with tragic life always dies. Her job is done and the final revenge always goes to the main actor/actresses which she isn’t.
Based on my analysis and conclusion- order of likeliness to die

1.Jonathan Cheung- almost guaranteed since he’s willing to sacrifice for Nancy and his role is an assassin in a ‘betray and be killed’ sect.
2.Nancy- extremely likely due to her assassin role and heart disease
        3.Grace- tragic role
        4. Ruco- linked to Nancy and willing to sacrifice as already proven. Slight chance but it would need
5.Moon- unlikely because of bubbly character but daughter of evil character has small chance
        6. Phil- extremely unlikely but it’s possible great fighters can get killed by someone better. However it is almost impossible due to Philip being a new series actor and won’t be able to film such a scene well and lack of much friends to display sadness if he dies
        7. Yueh Qiu- She is not the best fighter but invincible character. Her son has become good guy so no point of sacrificing.
        8. Ben- No chance. Offers the story nothing if he dies. Would be pointless!

I can’t read Chinese and have not read any spoilers.

      3. @jimmyszeto

Tvb dont always make character with heart disease die. An example is Gigi Lai in Heartstrings.

Im sure there are more but just cant think of any at the top of my head atm.

      4. @jimmyszeto

Definitely didnt die. Happy ending with Aaron.

Another example is Myolie Wu in Triumph in the sky 1. She only died in part 2 bcoz they wanted to make way for Fala.

Oh and there is also Vivian Chow in Greed of man. The version that i watched she had happy ending but there might b another ending that she die at the very end. But i will go with the happy ending since that is the only version ive seen.

I find that tvb seem to have more happy ending than sad ending. The show can be super dramatic but most of the time its a happy ending.

  6. Pudding man acted under orders from his boss. So still don’t know who is the BIG BIG Boss of the sect.

  7. Just before killing 柯, he mentioned his boss can’t tolerate the idea that the 3 of them can’t kill 朝猛山 in prison. So that means even pudding guy is not the BIG boss. Who was the one who let Moon’s character out from her room?

  8. Theres a big boss called chairman who hired pudding man. I wonder who?

Anyway am disappointed kuen lo wont get his hands dirty and kill low life uncle. I feel that low life has more to do with his fathers death than or man cheung, that revelation about audrey came out of nowhere.

Kudos to grace who was wonderful. Her breakout role. Benjamin also did very well in confrontation scenes but my god hes so boring.

I am however really thinking nancy’s role here is redundant. Grace wong for best actress. Moon for most improved.

    1. @funnlim

I think pudding man is the biggest boss. He may have been just referring to himself as the chairman in 3rd person. Could be someone who hasn’t appeared in the series but that’s unlikely.

Nancy hasn’t had much to do for a while. Too many characters meaning screen time has been shared and no one really has shown enough screen presence to win best actor/best actress awards. Very brave of the director to place Grace in such a big role but she has done really well. Jonathan has come into the series a little late. No doubt he is the next big thing for years to come in TVB. Talented and very likeable.

      1. @jimmyszeto Pudding guy was going to kill that KK anyway…if he is not the BIG BIG boss, no point hiding the truth from him. Especially since he also mentioned that Moon’s character is not his biological daughter. Although Pudding should be grateful that KK raised and loves her so much, KK should be killed because of all the evil things. At least, Grace is not the one who has to kill him.

Grace Wong is doing very well so far, her expressions and action filled scenes are impressive.

      2. @janet72

Not certain but thought pudding man was referring to chairman as in the whole group just like a triad group says ‘ah gung’.Will be very surprised if someone else that has been regular in the series turns out to be chairman. It would either not make sense or be the best twist TVB has ever written. The long speech and with the ‘i’m the father of your daughter’ theme before killing has ruined the suspense of pudding man. He was a man of few words who was brutal when killing. TVB once again has added an unnecessary familiar subplot. Trying its best to ruin the series!

      3. @jimmyszeto telling 柯 that he, sissy and drug addict are useless, as such the BOSS has to step in. adding the biological father part is unnecessary since 柯 is going to die and there is no DNA to prove to Moon’s character Pudding is her real father.

    2. @funnlim yes…牙佬 is super boring.

Jonathan Cheung may have come in late, but i like that scene in the forest when he could tell how many assassins were around and how he stabbed himself to protect Nancy. Could that guy in specs be the real BIG boss?

    3. @funnlim Moon’s character in ‘house of spirits’ was not exceptional…but as Audrey, she is cute, funny and sweet…WITHOUT getting on your nerves.

拳佬 didn’t want to kill that useless uncle because his sister likes 牙佬.

  9. This goes to prove that one man’s meat is another’s poison. I love the chemistry betw Ruco and Nancy both in the drama and off it. So far, other than Tavia in TOT and Aimee in ROE, this is the one pairing that looks comfortable with each other. Grace and Selena are the worst followed by linda IMO. Then there’s Jonathan. I can’t stand the sight of him. Wish someone else, maybe Matt, had been cast instead of Jonathan. His face just irritates the h-ell out of me. However i unanimously agree that Grace is great as Fa Man.

  10. now there are 2 baddies…Au and Jonathan Cheung.

I pretty much like the romance between Moon and Philip.

  11. Is anyone annoyed that Nancy hasn’t really done anything in the last few episodes? Her character is my favorite and I was so happy with her fighting scene when her servant was killed. Hopefully we get to see more of her fighting in the black suit…there are only a few episodes left!!

    1. @smizack when she fights she gets heart attack. That’s y she have no action scene. Really don’t understand why writer have to write it this way. Should let her fight all the way. Let her die of other problems later.

    2. @smizack Grace is going to be killed off soon…she is no calefare. So perhaps the focus is on her role as 朝霞.
If the producer wants to pair her with Ruco, then appearance wise, should make her look younger. When standing beside Ruco, she looks more like his elder sister.

  12. Can someone translate the picture in the article above with the hit points and stuff? I don’t understand it lol.
