Ada Choi Withdraws from Children’s Clothing Business

In September 2013, Ada Choi (蔡少芬) and two friends invested a seven-figure sum in Motion Picture Kidswear, a designer clothing and accessories brand for children. Ada and her daughter Zoe were also the main endorsers for the brand. However, since July Ada and her daughter no longer appeared as endorsers for the children’s store.

On November 21, Ada announced that she is no longer part of Motion Picture Kidswear. She wrote on her Sina Weibo blog, “I want to tell everyone that I have already left Motion Picture Kidswear. One year ago, I invested in the company with excitement, but now I have decided to withdraw my shares. However, I am still thankful because I know I’ve made an effort, worked hard, and learned a lot. It’s alright! I will continue to work hard and prepare for the future. Thank you to all of those who love and support me!”

Ada’s sudden announcement and lack of clarification has left many feeling puzzled. Ada had previously expressed how dedicated she was towards the business and hoped to open a second retail shop by summer 2014. She also added that her dream was to have Motion Picture Kidswear to become a listed company.

  1. Wow, the last time I saw Ada in Hong Kong shows was 2009 Gem of Life. She had 2 other s – Fly with Me and Beauty at War but I decided not to watch them.

  2. Ada must have her own reasons to withdraw shares on the business and why is she so skinny all bones she will looka more heathy looking if she gain more weight

    1. Was the company making money? If not, then there’s nothing exciting to report here.

    2. Agree. Ada Choi looks too skinny in the above photo, showing off her collar bone. I think she should gain some weight.

  3. If she wants to withdraw her shares, it’s no big deal. However, is it necessary to write a message like that on weibo? It may sound ambiguous enough, but she must know it will start speculations that will probably be in her favour since she’s the famous celebrity. If she has something to say, then say it, all of it. Her message is misleading and passive aggressive.
