Both Aimee Chan’s (陳茵媺) love life and career were flourishing. After Aimee’s romance with Moses Chan (陳豪) was exposed last year, it was surprisingly well received by the public. In the Year of the Dragon, Aimee hoped to make greater strides, “My income last year was okay. However, I did not sit down to calculate my total earnings. Money is not the primary driver for me, as I hope to gain more experience instead. Aside from saving money to buy an apartment for myself, I hope to purchase a larger home for my parents too!”
Aimee’s parents remained in Canada over the holiday, thus she visited her aunt and uncle in Hong Kong onLunar New Year Eve. Aimee praised her aunt for preparing tasty Fujian dishes for the holiday meal, in which the food preparation took 3 to 4 days. The family will eat rice balls to signify the family being together. Due to her westernized upbringing, Aimee disregarded the Chinese tradition of forbidding hair washing on Lunar New Year Day. Asked whether she will prepare rice balls for Moses, Aimee said, “Yes I will! Sesame rice balls are my favorite! I love eating desserts!” (How about coffee-flavored rice balls?) “I think the taste will be a bit odd!”
Aside from winning diamond bachelor, Moses Chan’s heart, Aimee also received the audience’s blessings for the romantic pairing. Since Aimee had a few days off over the holiday, the couple were able to visit many public places to celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday together.
Asked whether her family had attempted to force her to get married soon, Aimee responded, “No, they are very open minded!” Although Aimee and Moses possessed large families, fortunately they were not nosy, allowing the couple freedom in their relationship.

It is indeed refreshing to see the bubby love between TVB’s 2 public couples: Aimee and Moses, as well as Bosco and Myolie. Well to be blunt she is nowhere near the level of a Best Actress winner, not even Most Improved in my opinion. I mean, there’s always room for improvement but hopefully her Cantonese will get better (she also slurs her words too).
As for Moses and Aimee…is it just Hong Kong viewers that like the pair, because throughout a lot of articles and threads people (overseas) have talked about how they’re too much in the media and it’s getting annoying. And then we hear the media talk about how everyone is accepting. Really?

In Hong Kong, Moses and Aimee often appear at promo events together, thus they are accepted by advertisers and the public. They are considered physically compatible.
You won’t be seeing Ron and Viann at promos together smiling and chatting openly about each other anytime soon. Fans often say nasty things about Viann.
If you compare the 2 couples’ relationship, then it becomes more obvious that Moses and Aimee are well accepted.
People may not wish to hear them declare their love for each other, but their dating is not protested against, thus accepted.
Did Moses and Aimee ever pair up in a series?? IF they did, then I think the public would usually be more accepting than the other couples who never did. I like it when a couple shares their happiness and love to the public because I hate it when celebs hide it and lie through their teeth even when it is sooo obvious. However, I agree with some others here that it does get annoying when it is over the top as well.

No they haven’t paired up in any drama (or any that has aired already). They pretty much through themselves at the media because from the start when there were rumors that Moses is courting her the reporters would be like oh how’s the chasing going and he’s like ‘I’m trying, I’m trying’. Like it’s one thing to declare you’re already a couple, but I found it odd that us viewers got to hear about the chase as well. How did Moses know they would last? I feel like some of that is publicity and maybe TVB’s push to make them the next ‘marketing’ point.

@Lily I definitely agree. It’s funny how everything started around the time that Bernice was in the hospital. Even though Bernice and Moses broke up in 2008? They were still making money as a TVB couple in 2010, yet the moment she gets sick, I guess Moses can’t earn enough money, so had to finally look for a replacement.
After what happened with Bernice, I have a really bad impression of Moses.

Aimee needs a lot of improvement in terms of her acting, and even Moses’ acting is questioned a lot. But I have to say whether or not people like them or not for their acting abilities or as idols, it’s really hard to find people who would hate them for their personalities. They both seem genuinely friendly and down-to-earth, and seem very compatible together.And they both have a healthy and positive image. Always smiling and pleasant looking. Just like Myolie and Bosco. And I think that’s why the audience would accept them more than they would compared to Viann and Ron, mainly because of Viann’s scandalous past and her current tactics to get attention and promotion for herself.

Depends on how you look at it. Bosco has a very fashion forward style that may not be appreciated by most, but need to remember that HK people are very trendy. And wearing weird clothes does not mean he doesn’t have a great personality?
And since when does being nude in their own house reflect badly on their personalities? It’s so common place unless you are prudish. Maybe your neighbour is doing it at the moment, but most of us aren’t nosy enough to go peering into people’s houses. And people don’t expect someone to be looking through a tele-lens to catch us naked.
And if you earn a lot, you can spend a lot. Nothing wrong with spending things on something you like. It’s spending outside your means that is bad.
To add to Nicole’s thoughts, just because Bosco smokes doesn’t mean his personality isn’t great. It is unhealthy, but some people smoke to tone down stress. The choice of course is yours, but what I’m trying to say is great personality doesn’t necessarily have relations to smoking.
Besides if smoking = bad personality. Then Charmaine, Kevin, Ruco, Raymond Wong, Raymond Lam, etc. all have bad personalities?
As for Myolie, wanting to win an award doesn’t mean she has bad personality. And exaggerated acting has nothing to do with her personality at all. If not everyone who is bad at acting has bad personality?
And hiding your romance is nothing uncommon for celebs and doesn’t reflect on their personality, just means they want their privacy. Do you want all your love life story to be splashed all over front page? Maybe yes, if you are Viann Zhang, but for famous artistes…. Ronald and Charlene hide a whole marriage, Andy hide a woman for 20 years, etc.
Frankly, I think among the siu sangs, Bosco seems to be the best boyfriend material. Bosco is easygoing and seems to dotes on Myolie a lot and give in to her whims. Kenneth is the best husband material as he is an overall good guy who likes to stay at home. Raymond and Ron? Boob chasers.
Raymond Lam does not smoke. And talking about artists’ real personality, we never know.

I agree with Nicole that when was bad acting associated with your actual personality?? As for personality, who really knows how they really are behind the scenes?? You can sort of guess based on how they act in public, how they interact and treat their peers, parents, friends,etc… but it is all in public. Who knows what they do in private?? The thing is, IF you like them and are a fan of them, you would give them the benefit of the doubt. However, if you initially hate them and don’t like them at all, you would hate and criticize them at any chance you get.
A lot of artists smoke since I heard it helps them relieve stress. Raymond Lam DOES or USED to smoke.. I heard him admit it and I think he was caught as well. But since his health is getting bad I think he may have tried to quit so don’t know if he still smokes.

Honestly, IF you are then how can you survive in the tough E circle?? It is true that some are nicer than others, but they still have to have some kind of toughness in them if they want to succeed and survive. I wonder if tvb purposely did not help bernice out when the gold-digger rumors erupted. They probably knew about moses and aimee and this was an easy way for them to get fans to accept it since they will see it as “moses finding love again after bernice breaks his heart”.
I don’t hate Aimee. I think she’s very cute is small comedic roles but her enunciation is horrible and her acting needs a lot of work.
I also don’t think that Aimee should be thinking about best actress too much… She is really way too far from it. I think she should just concentrate on improving her acting and showing more of a passion for acting rather than any awards since awards don’t always show that you are a great actress… There are many that act decently well yet never get an award while there are others who aren’t so great but get it… Awards don’t really mean much anymore when you are not passionate about what you do.
Why she shouldn’t think of it. Can’t put something as an aim to life? So when you are working, you can’t dream of being boss one day and keep living as an employee all the days? If that, boss won’t be born.

Linda is very hardworking and has good attitude. When she first started in TVB, she can’t read chinese, so she will ask her dad through webcam every night by writing out every word she doesnt know. Linda used to be bashed a lot when she was heavily promoted as well. Time flies, and now she has lots of fans.
Linda was born in a Cantonese family. Her parents, relatives spoke Cantonese. So she only has the problem of accent for a person who live aboard long but she can speak Cantonese (can’t read). Linda’s voice can say sweet but also can say chicken voice.

Like most of you here, I don’t care much about Aimee’s mediocre acting. She has many years to go before she can come near to getting a Best Actress award. Still, nothing wrong with aiming high and setting yourself a mid- to long-term goal.
One thing though, she came to Singapore just 2 days ago and I had the opportunity to meet her. She was really bubbly and friendly, and seemed like a genuinely nice person with no airs about her.
I thought her role in TOT is pretty psychotic and evil already while her character in Super Snoops is pretty extremist.
Aimee is genuinely good. However she should follow graphic designer career rather than this acting.
