Aimee Chan Regains Sexy Body After Giving Birth

Celebrity couple, Moses Chan (陳豪) and Aimee Chan (陳茵媺), have their hands full since the birth of their son, Aiden Joshua Chan, in early December 2013.

Normally alternating their work shifts to take care of Aiden, it is a rarity to see both Moses and Aimee together at functions since their son’s birth. Last week, they attended a function together and were reportedly paid $500,000 HKD for their one-hour appearance.

Aimee Chan Moses Chan 7Wearing a form-fitting dress, the MC praised Aimee’s figure and expressed that her chest size has increased postpartum. Smiling, Aimee immediately thanked the MC. “I bought this dress before I gave birth and I am happy that I can still fit in it.”

Moses laughed, “Thanks for pointing that out. As a mother, it’s impressive that she has managed to keep her figure. Being a mother is stressful, so it’s a rare opportunity to have the chance to dress up nicely and meet everyone.”

Moses explained that he and Aimee originally planned to take a three-month break after Aiden’s birth, to settle down and get used to family life, but Aimee decided to return to work earlier. Depending on their son’s situation, Aimee is expected to begin shooting a new TVB drama this summer or fall. Moses offered Aimee his support, “She’s always been a great actress. She is so happy when she gets cast in a new series.”

Aside from their initial birth announcement and a blurry, leaked photo of Aiden sleeping in his crib, Aimee and Moses have not revealed photos of their son. With Aiden’s upcoming banquet celebrating his 100 days of birth, the public may finally be able to see what Aiden looks like.

  1. Her figure is much fuller, her waist is an obvious indication. She has always been very well endowed chest wise and even when she was leaving the hospital after giving birth she looked slim, hardly ever put on any weight. I find it interesting about this part;

“Moses explained that he and Aimee originally planned to take a three-month break after Aiden’s birth, to settle down and get used to family life, but Aimee decided to return to work earlier.”

    Still as ambitious as ever.

    1. Funn,
Aimee’s popularity has been on the rise since dating Moses. They’re the new power couple at TVB since Boscolie ended.

Aimee took a leave immediately after she became 3 months pregnant and hasn’t filmed a drama since. She probably misses working. They appear to have a very supportive family to help care for Aiden, so she is able to go back to work earlier.

Aimee’s body looks great. With a few situps, her tummy will soon be flat again. Her arms and legs barely gained any weight while she was pregnant.

      1. So jealoussss!!!
My arms and legs sadly T^T will gain so much FAT even eating McDonalds!!
Aimee looks great!!! Moses such a blessed guy!!!
        Love this couple!!!

      2. I hope she avoids the “mommy image”. Like you see an actress before giving birth as fresh and young and suddenly after birth she looked pretty tired and a “mommy”. Much like Amy Adams. There are however women who looks more spectacular. I will say Aimee is in the latter group, looks wise. But the waist is thicker, much like Angela Tong. I wonder will she ever grow her hair long? And why Moses has the Luk Kung Tzi hairstyle?

      3. Aimee is from a well off family too so she of course can afford to hire babysitters. She looks great after giving birth. But she has only had one child so far. I wonder how she will look after after having a few more kids? My aunt has had 5 kids but still has a nice figure. But of course no one’s body will be exactly the same after having kids.

      4. Probably will still look great because she is ambitious, she loves her career and she is paid to look good, if not for anything else.

      5. Yes, Breast feeding is great for shedding pounds after birth, and it is great for the baby if the mother can do it for the first year of life.

      6. It is great to be able to breast feed and take care of your baby yourself but sadly many mothers need to work and help bring home the bacon. Not everyone is well off enough and can live well off of one income unless the guy is rich/ well off.

      7. True… but even so, it’s not impossible. My wife returned to work after 6 months. For the next 6 months my wife carried an expressing kit to work with a freezer bag. In this way, we were able to continue to provide breast milk to our child for that important first year.

Of course, not all jobs will fit with the task… luckily hers did and she was willing to go the extra mile.

We are lucky as well that we live in Canada where parents are given a year’s leave from work for the first year. Even luckier that the year can be split between parents – so when my wife went back to work after 6 months, I took the next 6 off 🙂

My wife often tells me I had the better 6 😛

      8. My wife often tells me I had the better 6
        ———————————————————–
        Definitely.

      9. Yeah. We can take up to 1 year off after maternity, but not everyone gets full pay during that 1 year.

      10. You get about 4 months from the Government of Canada (as employment insurance benefits), and the rest either from your employer (if you are lucky to have a good one) or no-pay leave, but your employer has to keep the position for you upon you return to work.

I may not be very updated. Please correct me if I am wrong.

About some 40 years ago, women had to quit their jobs in Ontario when they gave birth to their babies and their positions would not be kept for them. After quitting their jobs, those expected mothers could collect employment insurance benefits up to some 16 weeks.

      11. That is good, I mean 4 months is good. I think Malaysia is 2 months? Not sure. And I suppose most employers wouldn’t deny any unpaid leaves because won’t they be afraid some may sue for whatever reason?

      12. TVBFanatic,
“We are lucky as well that we live in Canada where parents are given a year’s leave from work for the first year.”

That’s awesome that both you and your wife were able to have so much time off from work with your baby. A great bonding time for both of you!

      13. As far as I can remember, those 4 months’ pay may not be in the same amount of your salary. There is a maximum if you make more than the maximum.

Correct me please as I am very outdated now.

      14. To be exact, the employment insurance benefits for maternity leave is 17 weeks. But I believe that there is a maximum per week. Therefore, if your salary is higher than the benefits, you will only get the maximum amount as allowed in Employment Insurance

      15. @tvbfanatic,
You are so lucky to get 12 months leave. In the US, we only get 3 months or only 2 months. My 4th sister in law only got 2 months while my sister in law got 3 months. My brothers did not get any so they had to use their vacation and sick days. They were lucky to have help from grandparents and all because they cannot afford to stay home.

But yea it really depends on the job and whether you can provide the breast milk in advance or not.

      16. Not sure about Canada, but in the US depending on your job, you get a certain percentage of your salary while on maternity leave. My sister in law got 60% of her salary for 3 months. I am not sure if my brother got any since I do not think we have paternity leave in the US.

      17. Sandcherry – yes, there is a maximum for EI. But going back over our financials that year, it looks like my wife was covered for the full 6 months with EI… as was I during my 6 months. It might have changed now though. We still drew heavily on savings and credit over the year 😛

I know that there is talk of giving Canadians 2 years parental leave now.

      18. People are so much luckier nowadays. At my time, we did not have 1-year maturity leave. There was no parental leave at all.

      19. ” we did not have 1-year maturity leave”

I don’t think there’s such maturity leave anywhere in the world, if there is it will be the longest leave ever. Some people after 50 years of human life has yet to achieve that maturity!

I know I know bad joke but it was so funny to have read that typo error.

      20. Can you imagine a company with only immature employees cuz all mature employees are on leave? haha 🙂

      21. Sorry. It was my typo. I meant “maternity” and NOT “maturity”.

      22. Funn:
Thanks for your joke! Just a big laugh at my stupid typo.

    1. And she looks so gorgeous in that dress!!
Such FLAT tummy!!! And no flabby parts at her hands!!!
      I’m super dupperr jealoussss!!!

      1. Most women wear girdles during the first few months after giving birth in order to tighten their loose (or relaxed) muscles.

  2. she looks so good. you cant even tell she just gave birth. compared to other actress who had kids, I must say she has the best figure after giving bith

    1. Agreeddd!!!! Such FLAT tummy!!! And her arms and legs..ISSHHHH IM SUPER JEALOUS!!!

    2. She really looks so so good!!!
Just google “Fasha Sandha”, an artist from Malaysia, she is younger than Aimee and she is so pretty before this. But after she gave birth, she not only can’t shed off those extra “fats” on all parts of her body- she is SlimWorld ambassador, her face features totally changed! She just look plump!!

Aimee really look so so so pretty!!!!

  3. they are glamorous power couple of hongkywood..aimee is such an adorable sweet happy go lucky cheerful actress that always live up the mood of everyone..her acting is on par with many other fadans

    1. I am glad that Aimee is liked by some fans here. Her acting still needs improvements. Her main problem is: she has to slow down in speaking her dialogues to make it easier for people to understand her.

  4. She looks great! Her acting seriously need improvments. I usually watch 1st few eps of her series just to check her out but then have give up after coz i cant stand her lol.

    1. Actually Aimee’s acting considered good compared with Priscilla Wong.
I still can watch Outbound Love but I didn’t even care to watch the drama that Roger, Kristal Tin and Priscilla acted in.

      1. For Ruco and seriously even if w/o Ruco in this, I’m watching it for Aimee.
I’ve been a little fan of her since watching her in “Every moves u make” . That’s the 1st time I watch her in a drama and find that she is good. Pretty and always smiling, she have this happy aura.

      2. You answered your own question. You didn’t watch the other one because you don’t find the cast appealing, not because it wasn’t good.

      3. @Funn
Actually I watched the final episode for that Roger/Kristal/Priscilla drama and the only character that caught my attention is “FanGan”
To me if final episode also is not nice, why bother to watch other previous episode

Plus ur question for me is “Why u watch OutBound Love”
So my answer is for Ruco and Aimee
U didn’t ask me why I’m not watching the other drama..

  5. The sweetest TVB couple, but that hair really doesn’t suit Moses.

  6. She has great style..charming…great smiles…and I can tell that she works hard in every roles she were given…there are of course room for improvement but she has a great potential in and out!

  7. I don’t really like Aimee ‘s acting but she a good person. My friend sister work in tvb. She said Aimee us genuinely good to other artist whether you a D+ celebrity. They say fala chan is the hardest to get along out if the faden!!

    1. “They say fala chen is the hardest to get along out of the fadan!!”

      I knew it. haha 🙂

    2. I am not surprised about Fala’s Chen, but is surprise to know Aimee’s niceness. She still annoy and can’t act.

      1. Acting is very subjective. Everyone has different tastes and expectations. Some people think Maggie Cheung Man Yuk is an excellent actress while some think she can’t act. Therefore, just enjoy the ones you like and skip the others.

      2. Well aid Sandcherry! Acting is subjective so just watch the series, movies and actors and actresses that you like and skip the rest.

      3. What do you mean Funn? Do mean if your favorite was in a series or movie that you did not like and vice versa? If that was the case, then you will gave to decide what is more important, the plot/story or the cast?

      4. “But you can’t skip when your favourite and non-favourite occupy the same space. How then?”

Watch if you can tolerate it. And, skip if you can’t tolerate it. haha 🙂

TVB will always combine the ones they want to promote with the popular ones. And, give the ones they want to promote more screen time and give you “giraffe neck” waiting for the popular ones. In other words, dilute the drama. I’ve given up on TVB dramas lately.

      5. Like how Kong Wah was often paired with Anne Heung. I love Kong Wah, can’t stand her, so it is like I wanna watch Kong Wah, I don’t want to watch Anne Heung, in the end my love for Kong Wah exceeds my dislike for Anne Heung. But Aimee is not as bad as Anne, and even at some point Anne did give one good performance in her career. Aimee is just inadequate and when so inadequate, maybe that is more infuriating than being absolutely bad in acting. I suppose I was angry for Ruco who is perpetually stuck with less than stellar young female co-star in smaller production. I hope after the next (Yoyo), next (Linda), next (potentially Kevin and unnamed female lead) series, he will get to be in an all male series.

      6. Ruco Chan became popular only after acting with Tavia Yeung in “The Other Truth”. That is TVB’s strategy to promote Ruco Chan because of his unpopularity. TVB has to cast him with some popular actresses, such as Tavia Yeung, Linda Chung, in some small productions to boost his popularity and test the market acceptance. Once he becomes popular, I am sure TVB will cast him in bigger productions, such as “Brother’s Keeper”.

      7. sometimes by skipping out dramas due to some actors/actresses who “can’t act” or are relatively new, you may miss something. And if you are always thinking of that “actress” or “actor” can’t act, your perception of that one person will never change and you will never know whether or not they improved, stay the same or um, not improving at all.

But overall, That’s really subjective. That’s up to you.

      8. @Bubblez
You are absolutely correct because an artiste usually improves after filming more drama series. However, some people have too much prejudice against certain artistes, and the best choice is to skip watching those unlikeable artistes.

      9. “However, some people have too much prejudice against certain artistes, and the best choice is to skip watching those unlikeable artistes.”

        True.

    1. Agree. I really don’t feel that she can act either. She always makes the same expressions which happen to look extremely fake even when compared to Linda Chung. I also don’t understand how she is “sexy”… But I guess its just different people look at things differently.

  8. Thanks Funn for the recap but I think you may be a little harsh on sik sik’s character. I believe she did not listen to the demo out of fear for facing her true feelings for LKT and the pain she caused him. She does not hv the courage to face the truth and I supposed when it comes to affair of the heart, this happens. That is why she was so emotional during the proposal. But I thoroughly agree with you that Nic was so gallant and a true hero! I guess the ending was missing more happy times shared between the couple and the rest of the cast as a finale wrap up to give that feel good ending.

  9. I believe Aimee is a down to earth kinda gal and wouldnt act like diva to her surroundings hopeto see more of her n Ruco pairing for future tvb series!!!

    1. I can hear a collective groan of disapproval from Ruco’s fans. I hope not! Pls spare us more agony of having to sit thru his dramas with her as his leading lady.

  10. Wow so jealous ): hope I will be able to look that good at her age and in her type situation

  11. Honestly, she never looked like she gained all that much weight to begin with. I actually can’t tell a lot from that dress…and even if she did look like she holding on to post-pregnancy weight…so what? She gave birth to another human being, GOOD LORD!

  12. Have a few more Big Macs and you might different you moron

  13. “the MC praised Aimee’s figure and expressed that her chest size has increased postpartum.”

Is anyone else find this creepy … it would be less creepy if such comment comes from a friend, family, hubby … but from am MC, and my guess with a camera rolling?
