Alex Fong Refuses to Talk About Stephy Tang

After dating for ten years, golden couple Alex Fong (方力申) and Stephy Tang (鄧麗欣) announced their shocking breakup in March. Although both were eager to move on, the media and fans are unwilling to let go of the subject. During an interview shortly after the separation announcement, Alex was overwhelmed with emotion at the mention of Stephy and could not hold his tears back. An insider later also revealed that Stephy felt emotionally distressed seeing Alex tear up.

Spotted on set filming for Wong Jing’s (王晶) comedy film Idol Training Camp <男神訓練營>, Alex was asked about his public breakdown. Seeming to have his come to terms with the breakup, Alex calmly responded, “Everything is my fault. I admit it. Beforehand, the interview was supposed to be about youths and I was going to talk about my previous swim career. As the discussion went on, Stephy’s name was all of a sudden brought up. I couldn’t just ignore the question.” On whether he will become emotional again if he sees Stephy in person, Alex shook his head and said, “I won’t say too much! Let’s not talk about this. It’s all my fault. I’m always bringing it up.”

Alex then expertly changed the subject and geared the discussion towards his new film, in which he will be filming alongside 29-year-old Chinese actress, Zhang Yuqi (張雨綺). Many actresses in the film will also be showing off their bodies in daring bikinis. When teased which one he finds the most attractive, Alex smiled and expressed that it was hard to decide, since beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He joked that he is able to resist temptation, since he has collaborated with many of them before. “They are already aware of their strengths. There’s no regression [from before]!”

  1. dating for 10 yrs and just broke up for 2 month.. must be still raw from the emotion. Media and fans really need to give them time to deal with their feeling.

  2. dating for too long without a proper status is unhealthy. couple is neither here nor there.

Yes, it’s like the trend only making it official if an accidental baby comes along. I have seem a colleague living together w/a b/f for almost 10 years and then finally get married on their 11th year. It happened b/c their families are both pushing them but at times it seems the love have fizzled a long time ago but doing it just b/c it’s time and no one new at that moment. hahaa but hey it works for some ppl I guess. I personally think it’s BS to live together longer than a year and still no marriage in mind.

      1. @kiki as boyfriend and girlfriend, there is no committment legally towards each other…but yet they can’t date another person. with no marriage in mind, the relationship just doesn’t go anywhere.
