Andy Lau Back in Full Swing for 2018

While shooting a commercial in Thailand last year, Andy Lau (劉德華) fell from a horse and suffered fractures in his pelvic bone and lower back. Forced to cancel his music concert last year because of his injury, Andy’s company announced that his world tour will take place in 2018.

A Long Recovery

Andy’s injury showed fans exactly how much grit and “tough” the 56-year-old was. Hospitalized for 51 days, Andy was bedridden and found it painful to even talk. He forced himself to practice standing with a cane ten times a day during his early physical therapy sessions. His hard efforts paid off and Andy slowly eased back into work again last July. At the premiere of The Adventurers <俠盜聯盟>, Andy was able to walk on stage on his own without assistance.

In the latter part of 2017, Andy appeared at various film promotional events. When he received an honorary doctorate from Hong Kong Shue Yan University, Andy delivered a speech at the school campus.

World Concert Tour in 2018

Fully recovering from his accident last year, Andy is ready to greet his fans in his world concert tour. Andy’s company announced that he will hold a concert in December 2018 in Hong Kong, and perform at various cities in Mainland China at the start of 2019.

Andy updated on his webpage:

Haven’t changed
I haven’t changed
Family hasn’t changed
No one has changed
Eyes looking forward
An expectant agreement
Waiting for you!
Starting in December 2018,
My concert is yours!

  1. This man is surely a workaholic. He can retire for sure with enough to last a lifetime.

  2. I’m glad he’s recovered well! It sounded very scary when the news first came out. He has such a tenacious spirit.
