Annie Liu Once Questioned Her Sexual Orientation

Annie Liu (劉心悠) has been linked with handsome costars such as Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Shawn Yue (余文樂) in the past. Despite the colorful press coverage over her romantic life, Annie was also suspected to be a lesbian. Although she currently does not have a boyfriend, Annie insisted that she is only interested in men.

On October 9, the  star attended an awards presentation for ORBIS at Hong Kong’s Olympian City. Since filming modern office drama Bu Bu Jing Qing <步步惊情>, the sequel to Bu Bu Jing Xin <步步惊心>, Annie has taken a break from acting. As an marathon enthusiast, she has been spending time training her physique and improving her endurance.

Denies Rumors with Shawn Yue

Earlier, Annie was seen outside a nightclub with former costar Shawn Yue (余文樂). As Annie’s mother was also with her at the time, tabloid reports claimed that Shawn and Annie were dating and at the stage of meeting each other’s parents.

Annie clarified, “At the time, my mom and I just finished our meal, and right when we left the restaurant, Shawn saw us and greeted us. I didn’t even know we were being photographed.” Denying involvement with Shawn, Annie stated that they have not remained in touch since filming Shamo <軍雞> in 2007, but will greet each other as friends at public events.

Questioned Own Sexual Orientation

On the reports saying that others once mistook Annie to be a lesbian, Annie laughed, “I once suspected if I liked girls, but now I can definitely say that I am not [a lesbian] because I do find boys more attractive.” Annie did turn down a female high school classmate’s love confession though.

  1. What makes the think she is a lesbian?

    And maybe she is bisexual?

    1. I think she was just bi-curious. Some girls enter that stage during their teenage years. My friends and I fooled around a bit (not in sexual way lol) in high school but then we realized we are more attracted to guys actually.

  2. Wow she turned down a girl in high school, she must be pretty hot back then.

  3. Well, she still is quite hot now…….definitely hope she is not into that lesbian thing like Denise Ho……what a waste it would be if Annie Liu was a les.

    1. Women are human beings who can choose who they love, and you are not “entitled” to judge the worth of a human being based on whether they want to have sex with you.

      1. Okay, you have your point……..but I would still love to bed Annie Liu though.

  4. Just because a guy/girl does not have a boyfriend/girlfriend does not mean that they are gay/lesbian. I wonder why some people think that???

    1. U have no idea. One of my aunts who is hitting 40’s and still single. She had guys wooing her but she is smart and just extremely picky and she can support herself very well but b/c of her still single at such an age and her own aunt came out and ask her if she was a lesbian? She was like NO and don’t be surprised if I stay single forever but i am and will not be lesbian. Haha.. Even thou in this age and century, ppl still like to label themselves and put a tag on it so it’s life.

      1. wow times have changed – back in the day, it was shameful to insult another person by asking such a question – it’s not a gay thing or an antigay thing – it’s just obscene to be that in your face when inquiring (inappropriately already) about someone else’s personal business – wah! would you really allow someone like that back in your home again after they asked such a thing because clearly they have boundary issues ….

Well, this aunt I see her occasionally on family gatherings but her aunt who asked such a question I have never met her. If i met her, to the younger generation like myself she probably won’t ask such direct questions yet hahah but to single nephews/nieces who are in their 40’s she will probably ask every single one of them. It’s probably her nasty personality. However, I am sure all nosy women/men loves asking ppl such questions cuz they truly don’t believe anyone can be happy being single. In their mind, everyone has to be either married or involved. If you are not, they literally think it’s not normal. I love this single aunt of mine so I have no problems if she stays single forever but lots of elderly or not elderly ppl just have to put a label to anyone period.

      3. windy – do you really think elders suspect unmarrieds as abnormal or are they envious because honestly, when I think of my cousins and their offspring/burdens – SOME of them – I SUSPECT – are not really too thrilled. SOME of them don’t look like they married for love and if they made babies with their nontrue loves … well, they’d be like GOB in Arrested Development, talking to himself that “I think I made a HUGE mistake.”

        kkekekkekekeke

Well, seriously I think it’s both. Let’s face it ppl tend to go w/the norm. Even thou everyone can be diffferent but yet they expect everyone to go thru the same thing in life and if you are NOT, then automatically they think of you in a certain way whether it’s abnormal or otherwise. I see alot of couples NOT marrying for love at all and it’s not surprising. Some married for legal status for certain asians who came here w/o visas, some married b/c they really want to have kids before their biological clock strikes, and some as i said in other posts don’t even get married until a kid came along so marriage is NOT all LOVE LOVE LOVE, at least some couples I don’t see it that way. Yes, kids might be a burden to some parents but still I think the elderlies still want you to have some than none at it They just want you to be the same as everyone else. I don’t know if this makes sense to you but that’s how I see it. When you are even over 30, every single relative will go ” when are you getting married “? ahhaa… It’s like they have nothing else interested in? ahahaha LOL…

    1. Heck no, Annie Liu is much prettier IMO. She’s just never that popular but an attractive actress nonetheless.

      1. Agreed. Annie’s eyes are much wider too. I found that Annie resembled Cecilia Cheung (when she was in her 20s and her prime) in certain angles.

      2. I have no idea who she is but she looks charming in a nooks and crannies kind of way – and pursing her lips like that reminds me of Chloe Moretz.

  5. She is so beautiful! Love her in “I DO” Taiwanese drama. I don’t think she’s a Lesbo.

    1. I have dozens of lesbian friends who are prettier and better looking than her. Are you guys ignorant, equating prettiness with lesbian-ness or not? And what’s with this equating of lesbian with “normal” or not normal? Lesbians just love women, just like some women like men. Lesbians can be sporty, feminine, like shopping, like football, just like PEOPLE. Just like men can like COOKING and crying and still be strong!! And women can do math and science!! It’s all about being happy with WHO YOU ARE and not being afraid of other people being who they are.

      1. Exactly and many lesbian women are really beautiful. How you look does not indicate if you are lesbian or not.

    1. She is pretty but I wonder if she had any PS done?? My mom and I thought she had a nose job since her nose looks so unnatural.

  6. Does it matter that she is bi or les or straight, one thing for sure is that she is absolutely one of the most beautiful girls out there at the moment.
When you’re older and you’re still more beautiful than most of the young trash that calls themselves celebrities there at the moment, that says something special about you.
