Bobby Au Yeung Returns to Work and Adopts Healthier Lifestyle

During the Chinese New Year celebration last month, Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華) was rushed to the hospital for acute pneumonia. Fortunately, Bobby’s health condition has improved and he is now back at work filming for TVB drama, Love Reverses Three Lifetimes of Fate < 情逆三世緣>.

Last Wednesday, Bobby filmed his first outdoor scene for the drama since his hospitalization. Concerned for Bobby’s health, producer Chong Wai Kin (莊偉建) altered the cast’s journey to film at Tung Long Island so they do not need to descend a hundred-step staircase. “The most important thing is safety and health.”

In terms of this change, Bobby expressed, “The company is great. They care about us. I wouldn’t know what to do if I had to go down more than two hundred steps after filming. Maybe it’s because my feet weren’t active when I stayed at the hospital. My legs don’t have much strength. Aside from myself, it’s also not easy for the crew to carry the camcorders up and down. Now everyone can be more relaxed.”

Bobby revealed that he has not fully recovered yet. “I’m still a little lacking. For instance, when I was filming a historical scene the day before yesterday, I had to argue and yell “Emperor, don’t believe in their lies” loudly. Bobby’s energy levels have not returned to their normal state. “When I visited the doctor for a check-up, he said I was strong and I am recovering quickly.”

Will Bobby be filming another drama after Love Reverses Three Lifetimes of Fate? “I’m going to take good care of my health first. Although I currently take a one-day break every three days, I wouldn’t be able to do that for the next drama, so I need to rest. Even my lifestyle has changed a little. Yesterday, I ate dinner with my wife and we watched some TV before going to bed at 1 AM. I woke up at 7 AM this morning and felt very energized. In the past, we would eat out for sure.”

Was Bobby’s wife, Rosanna, very caring towards him? “Yes. Once, I was in the living room watching a DVD. She would come out and check on me constantly. I’ll be careful from now on, and won’t scare her again.”

  1. I think Esther aged well. She still looks good and fit. I enjoy watching her and Bobby. Looking forward to this drama. Will it be aired this year?

  2. This crew is lucky to get breaks in between filming because of Bobby’s health. Meanwhile Eddie Cheung (and everyone else) is complaining about the long hours. It shouldn’t take a trip to the ICU to get some decent rest from filming. TVB should start treating their actors better before they all leave elsewhere.

  3. @ bobby, you must stop eating the moment you are enjoying your food

  4. Bobby looks really good and fit here! I must say he must’ve learned his lesson now.
