Bobby Au-Yeung Supports Raymond Lam to be TV King; Raymond Lam Views Michael Tse As His Strongest Opponent
Bobby Au-Yeung (歐陽震華), Raymond Lam (林峰), Tavia Yeung (楊怡), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Sire Ma (馬賽) and the rest of the cast attended the promotional event of their new TVB drama, Men With No Shadows《不速之約》yesterday.
About succeeding the broadcasting time slot of their predecessor, previous high viewership drama, Lives of Omission《潛行狙擊》, the cast of “Men With No Shadows” professed that they didn’t feel stressed at all.
Bobby said, “We should (actually feel stressed) lah! The influence of “Lives of Omission” was done up to the point where it was so compelling. Thus Raymond didn’t even go for his movie filming and rushed here instead. I am definitely confident about this series!”
When the TV King award was mentioned, Bobby initially laughed and joked, “There are huge expectations about this drama. This year’s TV King should be me, only lacking and contending for Mr Chan’s (Stephen Chan (陳志雲)) one and only remaining vote!” (Reporter: You are not competing with them for the TV King award lah!) “Already “convert” lah! Bobby later also expressed that he highly looked upon Raymond to win the TV King award and expected their drama, “Men With No Shadows”, to rake in a high rating of at least 32 points.
Guest starring as Chang ‘Er for the festive season
As it was nearing to the Mooncake Festival, Bobby and the other cast of “Men With No Shadows” had huge fun dressing up as Chang ‘Er (a female Chinese celestial being who lives on the moon) to welcome the Mooncake Festival.
Amongst them, Bobby was the most hilarious Chang ‘Er such that when the producer awarded the marks, he remarked that Bobby was the most feminine out of them.
This “angered” Bobby who mockingly retorted, “You turned me into this, I still need to venture into the Mainland industry leh!”
As for Tavia Yeung, she was considered to be the actress with the most production works out this year. However, Tavia expressed that she wasn’t afraid that she would get a lack of votes as her roles in the dramas were all different.
When it was mentioned that voices of support for Fala Chen (陳法拉) to be TV Queen were relatively high this year, Tavia responded, “Fala good lah! I definitely have confidence for the TV Queen award. But those who truly know me would know that I don’t really put that much emphasis on the award. However, I will still work hard and try my best to strive for the award.”
Is Tavia confident about the ratings for their new drama then? Tavia responded, “Of course the higher the ratings the better it is, relying on Raymond to “Chok” the ratings up.”

MOL and Galieo, can say that they two have similar points. But MWNS and Death Notes have no similar points other than the death like to eat apples. Even that, the synopsis of MWNS said that Tai Fung eats apple to transform him from human to devil, dun like Shinigami in DN likes to eat apple (and only Kira’s Shinigami like to eat this fruit, not all Shinigamis). I actually think that Bosco Wong did an outstanding job in Lives but if I were to choose someone to win from Lives then I think Bosco deserves it. His role was pretty challenging. I’ve only seen the first episode of MWNS so maybe Ray will steal my heart again! 🙂

LOL, I dont mind watching some actresses or actors to repeated acting in some series as long as they’re not annoying. Even if I don’t like LF’s private life + scandals, I still don’t mind watching him on tv for many times.. maybe because LF, Tavia, Linda, Fala, Michael, Bosco, Myolie, kenneth, steven, kate and etc are the latest fadans/siu sangs heavily promoted by tvb and i’m kinda used to watching them leading the series, so it doesn’t really matter to me.
However, I’ve prob with new artists though like the young girl whom starred in Moses, linda and tavia’s school series..and got popular from that series.. I definitely won’t wanna watch her and other young actors in any new series, I don’t think they’re able to carry out the series good enough.

If I rmb correctly Bosco, Myolie, Tavia and LF were once acted along side with experienced artist like Gallen, Kenix, etc. (can’t rmbr so many old faces). For this kind of series which have mixture of old and new faces, I dont mind watching but definitely not entirely new faces in 1 series.. which I definitely will lose interest.

Ok watched episode 1 yesterday nite, not bad and it was quite hilarious too.
*SPOILER ALERT*
The whole ep 1 was quite hilarious especially bobby’s hilarious emotion & performance. LF was ok, looks cool through out the episode and TAvia looks great too, pretty not too skinny in this series (probably hasn’t lose weight yet?). Her hairstyle also look stunning.
The most hilarious part was when Bobby examines LF and unable to detect his heartbeat. Bobby was like scared to death meeting with the devil lol.
I don’t think it resembles the story of Deathnote at all, atleast it doesn’t have the log book where the main lead used to record the next ppl to die. I think “eating apple” part was quite inapproriate or is it LF who didn’t carry out his role nicely? It looks like LF eating the apple forcely.
Omg, tavia’s nose is so distracting! When we first see her looking at her reflection on the building- her nose profile was huge. And she keeps wearing so much lip gloss, I keep thinking her nose tip is gonna touch her mouth.
Anyway, back to episode 1. I thought the bus scene when Dr. O accidentally ‘bok mung’ the grandma was hilarious. Ha ha… next stop, hell please!
Ray eating the apple reminded me of Carl’s Jr commercials where the hot girl keeps taking bites of her hamburger but the burger doesn’t get smaller. Unless he is the devil so his apple magically regenerates.
After eps 1 and 2 the surprise one to me is Sire. Her acting is quite ok to cute. The series started well, quite different to another tvb fellow. It’s hillarious to see Tai Fung bullied Dr. O. Catherine is also pretty. Wonder why Dr. O dun fall for her. She is a good assistant.
yeah Sire’s acting was okay, she looks cute, fresh and pretty too. Tai Fung hasn’t really started bullying Bobby yet, thats more like a introduction to Bobby that LF is the devil and it just scares Bobby lol. Catherine sure looks amazing in the doctor robe, glasses n etc. kinda sexy.
I think Tavia can act in comedy now after wathcing ep 1, her performance was not bad.
I think she is kinda OTT with her voice and eyes, especially the part in the hospital. Not convinced enough for a 12 year-experienced actress. She is still better with crying gwing face.
Mandy will only appear next week. I’m looking forward for her performance. So far Sire’s Mui is quite good. I wanna have a comparison of Sire and Mandy.
The female actress that I like the most in eps 1 and 2 is Gigi Wong. She is funny. The most beautiful is Catherine.

Yes, Mandy is more natural. She learned acting :). But to a newbie like Sire, she is quite ok. Her facial expressions are quite natural, not being forced to show the emotions. Maybe she is still young so she hasn’t used botox or something like that so her face is still natural.
Forget to add, the biggest problem for this series is the special effect. It looks so lame. TVB should invest some more money on CGI.
LOL, I dont really pay much attn. to the special effect since I’ve high hopes with TVB. I just watch it cuz the storyplot is interesting and genre is quite comedy.

Actually, this one isn’t LF’s most important role in 2011. He should look forward for It’s love to be successful more than this one. If It’s love can sweep the box office, his career will have a new step. To win the TVB King won’t help his career much because it’s matter of time. Soon or not, as long as he is still with TVB, one day he’ll have it. We all know the politics game.
The movie promotion team still doesn’t have much confidence in Raymond. I trailer mostly focus on Jet Li. I hardly sees Raymond in the trailer.
But, I agree it’s a crucial movie. If it flops, the blame will be on Raymond Lam, not on the other cast. If it succeed, it will help Raymond in his career. But, I doubt he will get all the credit. Credits will be shared by Jet Li and other famous cast, unless Raymond’s performance get good review. But, no matter what, if the movie succeed, he will get more offers.
Of course, the series even named Legend of White Snake and Fat Hoi :P.
The credits will 90% comes to Jet Li, it’s indeed. He is the biggest name in the movie. But I said that it’ll help LF to have a new step because he still has his own parts with White Snake played by Eva. According to the review submitted by Hollywood review, LF got some praises for his eyes acting in the love scenes with Eva.
Yes, it’s like a rule that if anything flops, the blame will go to LF and not the other casts. However, I dun think It’s love will flop, with Jet Li and all the investment :P. Its CGI look so good for a non Hollywood one :). If you see the third trailer (the one about love), there are more of LF’s scenes.
The Sorcerer and The White Snake or It’s Love is too big to flop. Based on the trailers, the production team has indeed spend quite a good effort on the production values.

Kate and Michael didn’t sing when they come over to meet the fans. This is the first time I go to meet the fans session where the artists didn’t sing at all. My friend said it’s ironic that the artists came to promote a concert but didn’t sing. She then said that maybe they afraid that after we heard them sing live we won’t buy ticket to the concert. She’s so bad. lol
I would have gone to the concert if I stay in KL. 5 stars together.

I’d like to add that my sis went to meet Kim Hyung Joong the spokeman for FAce Shop. She said Hyung Joong is taller in person (based on the internet, he’s 1.8m) and handsome with clear bright porcelain skin.
I think I’ve seen Linda in person when she was in Sg. WAng KL for promotion but it was quite far away. She’s tall, slim and pretty.

The one I have missed was Linda Chung, Wilbur Pan, Soler.
I live not far from the place where artists often come to meet the fans. That’s why I go see so many. 😀

I only know some from tv anda magazine, they r like wuchun, jiro, aaron, calvin, cyindi wang, dai S & small S, siaw chong (the comedian), Ching’s sis (transsexual), etc. I didnt purposely go to see them in person probably i dont get hype watching them on tv mostly game shows. I also didn’t watch any of those love stories from taiwan cus i find them to be too draggy and boring lol. I always have to fast forward to the end or see the scene I like most..

Actually, my favourite FRH member is Calvin. I like Calvin first, then, FRH. I follow FRH because of Calvin and then grow to like the other FRH members. I especially want to see Wu Chun because he is so handsome onscreen. So, I want to see real life if he’s equally handsome, less handsome or more handsome. 😀
But, I do admire Wu Chun for his personality, how he knows what he wants and know what is important to him and chart his own part. He might be accidental star, but, now, he’s deciding his own career path.

Yes, Wu Chun can speak better english because he comes from Brunei. He can’t write chinese, his mandarin was very poor when he first come to Taiwan. Now, he can speak very well even though he still got a bit of accent and strange pronunciation. He write his blog in english.

Actually, my favourite FRH member is Calvin. I like Calvin first, then, FRH. I follow FRH because of Calvin and then grow to like the other FRH members. I especially want to see Wu Chun because he is so handsome onscreen. So, I want to see real life if he’s equally handsome, less handsome or more handsome.
But, I do admire Wu Chun for his personality, how he knows what he wants and know what is important to him and chart his own part. He might be accidental star, but, now, he’s deciding his own career path.
As for Calvin, I like him because he’s scholarly, really smart, have bright smile, and high EQ.

Yes, Wu Chun can speak better english because he comes from Brunei. He can’t write chinese, his mandarin was very poor when he first come to Taiwan. Now, he can speak very well even though he still got a bit of accent and strange pronunciation. He write his blog in english.

Kidd, joke is my mom once saw Law Kar Ying at Genting, after show she bumped into him squatting eating durian!! She asked him for a picture. A rather nice one. He was standing so upright. I think that was before the whole cancer thing.

Some said Wu Chun’s blog is fake. But, I don’t think so. I remember him posting pictures that does not look like pictures from magazine or any official pictures, but, look like pictures he took personally. Example, a picture of Calvin when he was unaware.

Glad to see other fans of Fahrenheit here. I am sad now that WuChun left but at least they have not disbanded yet. I don’t think Aaron’s English is as good as Chun’s and Calvin’s but is ok. Jiro hardly knows any English since he never studied overseas before.
One thing I feel sad about FRH or any group is that their friendships and bonds may be fake. In terms of personality, Calvin and Chun’s seems the most likeable. I guess it is because they seem more open and friendly than Aaron and Jiro are. I remember how Calvin always tries to keep FRH together.

All 4 FRH has their likable side to me. Arron I understand you might find him unfriendly, side he’s kinda quiet and moody and quite emotional. But, I wonder why you find Jiro unfriendly since he always seem friendly and lively to me. Calvin is the spokeperson of FRH and loves to talk. So, it’s logical to find him friendly. But, I don’t find Wu Chun more friendly than Jiro.
You mentioned another thing I like about Calvin. He’s the one who made the most effort to keep the group together. I like that of him. He really is the glue of FRH.
I’m actually not sad that Wu Chun left FRH. He’s only true to himself. I’m happy that he find his own path. He doesn’t like singing. Why force himself to continue being a singer? But, I admit, I’ll miss the 4 member FRH. Need time to get use to 3.
As for english, why do you find Arron’s english less good than Calvin and Wu Chun? Just curious. I find Arron having better english pronunciation than Calvin.
Lastly, I like Jiro’s loyalty as friend. He was very supportive of his ‘brothers’ Dong Cheng Wei when they release their first album and Xiu starring as lead in his first drama.

Hm… Good question… I honestly don’t know who I like the most… If I had to pick, I guess I would say Calvin since his acting has improved a lot and he seems to have the sweetest personality. I really like how he puts in so much effort to keep the group together. But I actually like them all… Now that I think about it, I can understand why Aaron acts the way he does so I guess I can’t blame him. He once suffered from depression and actually seeked help for it. I admire him for that… His close friends and girlfriend in the past also passed away due to auto accidents which really hurt him…. He is an emotional guy so I can understand why he acts the way he does…
Oh yea, I guess now that I think about it, Jiro is pretty friendly… I wonder what I was thinking when I typed my other reply. I think it was because I was not on my laptop so it was harder to type and think…
About English, well Aaron only stayed in the US for a few years when he was younger so not sure how much he really studied English. He then dropped out of university as well while Chun and Calvin both graduated from university. Calvin used to live in Canada for years as well. I don’t think Aaron’s pronunciation of English is better than Calvin. Also, just because someone’s pronunciation of a language is better does not mean that they have more knowledge of a language. But I guess it all depends on what you mean by knowledge of a language.
I guess it is not that bad that WuChun left. I just hope that they maintain their friendship and bond even though he has left the group.
I also want to add that yea, they all have a likeable side to them which is why I like them all. I heard that fans and some others actually like FRH for their personality a lot as well…

Do you know that Arron major in English in Uni? I doubt he dropped out because he’s not smart or his english is bad. He dropped out because he has no time to study, thus, his grade was affected. FRH activities took up most of his time. Calvin and Chun is different. They join showbiz after they completed their studies.

NO! I did NOT say that Aaron could not study or is not bright. I know that he only dropped out because he had no time to study and wanted to focus on his career. Since he stopped studying English, his English obviously may not be as good as Calvin’s.
I have heard him speak it and I still think that Calvin’s English is better… But that’s just what I think. Aaron’s pronunciation is not bad at all but I still think Calvin’s is better… You can have really good pronunciation but limited knowledge of a language… I have seen that with many of my students…

Is there a notebook involved? Come to think of it Death Note was brilliant story. The actors were good too. Never watched the anime version but the artwork looks good. Must find back DVD to watch.

You watched Death Note Live action? I like it more because N dun appear. Up to now, N is still the character I dislike the most in Death Note. To make L died after Kira is something I’d love to see more. I haven’t watched Death Note anime but I watched an OVA. The artwork is similar to the manga.
BTW, Matsuyama Kenichi is brilliant as L but becomes very so-so in Norwegian Wood :(.

Matsuyama Kenichi eh? That’s L? Can’t remember his name but he was the reason why Death Note was amazing. And he gained so much weight now! But lucky dude, married who is considered Japan’s most beautiful woman.
I dun think N will appear in the live action. Only L. N is the character that replaced L to catch Kira.
Kenichi is brilliant as L, however I think partly thank to character L. It’s an awesome character :). Most of ppl love L over Kira.

I love L and I love Kenichi after Death Note Live action. My love has a small dent after Norwegian Wood but still very big. Kenichi and Koyuki Kato make a beautiful couple. He isn’t handsome but he is attractive.
I love L first too and then Kenichi later after Death Note movie, but I haven’t watched his other work yet.

L’s actor looked like a loser but he was brilliant. He was skinny and weird in looks and behavior but he was brillant and cool.
Singapore tried to make a series with L but the their “L” turned out to be a mentally challenged idiot with an high IQ.
As for Ray trying to channel devilish vibes, I can only say… good marketing ploy! At this point where his real life shows that he has hidden “bad” boy tendancies and a weakness for big busty women, way to go, to tap on this by letting him play a “devilish” character still with a “good” heart?

Watched first episode last night “Men with no shadows” – can’t say I was impressed, in fact found it boring and it would have to take a lot of patience and perseverance to carry on watching it for the whole week. I normally give it a try for about 5 episodes and if still don’t like it then I won’t bother anymore. Am not sure whether I like Raymond in that kind of role either.
TVB series is always 3 episodes rule. 5 episodes a bit too much. By 4th episode still crappy, it is still crappy.
I rmb when I watched Saber and Sword the old version with Tony Leung, I think it’s crappy until eps 7 :P. From eps 7 to the end, it isn’t crappy, hehe.
Same to Golden Faith. I think it’s crappy until eps 15.
Recently, I think HOG is crappy for the first half. Last half is less crappy.

i think raymond won awardS most of the time, i get bored of him, just cuz he sings well, doesnt mean he acts well. he won just because his would just vote for him when they see him in any nomination. i think people should vote for thee person who acts well and not just because they like but their character should be well potray and shines, not just some random things.
