Bobby Au Yeung’s Wife Hopes for Speedy Recovery

Since Bobby Au Yeung’s (歐陽震華) sudden hospitalization for acute pneumonia, his condition has been closely followed by the Hong Kong media. Did TVB’s favorite funny man experience a decline in health long before his hospitalization?

Love Reverses Three Lifetimes of Fate <情逆三世緣>costar, Esther Kwan (關詠荷) thinks so. Esther said, “One day during filming, Bobby had chest pains. His face went pale and he broke into a cold sweat due to the intense pain. He had to rest for one to two days before he could continue with filming. I was concerned that he had artery problems and would require an angioplasty.”

Did Bobby exhibit signs of a stroke? Esther said, “No, it is a matter of the thickness or narrowness of one’s blood vessels.”

Although Bobby will need to remain hospitalized for approximately one week, the filming of Love Reverses Three Lifetimes of Fate has continued without its leading man.  A body double is standing in for Bobby’s scenes for the time being until he is able to return to work.

Derek Kok (郭政鴻), who was present at the house party on Monday night when Bobby was rushed to the hospital, revealed that Bobby is on his road to recovery. Derek said, “Although he’s still on an IV drip and has a little bit of fluid in his lungs, Bobby has almost recovered 80 to 90 percent. He’s just a bit tired.”

On Valentine’s Day, Lydia, and Bobby’s wife, Rosanna Fu (傅潔嫻) continued their daily hospital visit.  Bobby’s manager, Lydia, revealed that Bobby is alert and the first thing he asked when he woke up in the hospital was, “Does anyone know about this?” Bobby also said that it was very comfortable staying in the hospital with its excellent patient service.

Rosanna uploaded a message on Weibo today, wishing for Bobby’s speedy recovery. “Today is Valentine’s Day. I hope everyone has everlasting happiness and sweetness!  I also wish that my husband recovers quickly and returns to my side.”
