Bosco Wong Finds Joy in Work Despite Empty Love Life
Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) is single but certainly not lonely. Recently completing A Man Cannot Be Poor <男人唔可以窮>, Bosco raved about the positive time on set and walked away with new, lasting friendships. When asked about his romantic status, Bosco once again clarified his many rumors and even asked for help to find his ideal mate.
A motivational film that recounts the struggles of modern life, A Man Cannot Be Poor stars Bosco as a recently laid-off employee who was also dumped by his girlfriend. Heartbroken and without money, Bosco thought his situation will finally improve when he landed a job as a financial agent. However, his new position only revealed the darker side of modern society and even becomes a threat to his life. While navigating through these career obstacles, Bosco must also resolve his feelings for his ex-girlfriend and find his happy ending. Stephy Tang (鄧麗欣) plays Bosco’s former love in the film, while Mainland actress Zhao Rong (趙榮) will share a kiss scene with him as his wife.
Although surrounded by many beautiful actresses, Bosco is instead most excited about working with veteran actor Liu Kai Chi (廖啟智). He praised Liu’s talent and recalled the impact he brought to the set. “There were two crying scenes with Uncle Chi where I could not stop crying at all. I was completely defeated by him.” The two appeared close at the film’s celebratory dinner on January 20, making jokes and funny poses as they faced the press.
An eligible bachelor, Bosco was again asked about his love life though he was reluctant to comment. When someone pointed out that his former girlfriend Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) has found a new love, Bosco replied simply that it is good news. Continuing to address rumors with his Coffee Cat Mama <貓屎媽媽> co-star Eliza Sam (岑麗香), Bosco again said that Eliza is like a little sister and far from the image of his ideal woman. “I want someone who is more independent and more mature, [those qualities] will suit me better.”

No offense Bosco and Liu Kai Chi are cool good actors especially Uncle Liu but the sentimental movie sounds uncommercial: because HK people only cares about CatIII meat revealing or vulgar movies, big budget action movies and nostalgic lost innocence-youth movies.
Still, good luck trying to push a non trendy HK movie into the dying HK film industry where most movies now are made to cater for either mainland China or HK meat loving goddess worshipping homeboys. Cue LKF.
This movie is based on a very popular HKGolden novel. Targeting and widely anticipated by the infamous “homeboys” of the popular forum (quoted all over HK news), it’s appeal is no less than the vulgar movies that many are tired of. Of course it’s not competing with big budget foreign films.
We’ll see about that but too bad I doubt the movie will open overseas.

It will likely release in Singapore and Malaysia at same time as HK, then release in Mainland several months later.

Not at all… Myolie is insecure, that’s what partially lead to the breakup. Bosco wants an “independent” mature woman – which to me sounds like he’s looking for a woman confident enough in herself to not always be watching or doubting him when he flirts.

Of course Bosco and Myolie were each other’s type. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be together for so many years.

None of us know the true reason to why they broke up. Maybe she’s not doubting him, but she really did caught Bosco doing something disloyal. Moreover, being independent doesn’t mean you can’t be insecure. Independence is more about taking care of yourself and not relying on someone else. Being insecure in a relationship because your boyfriend likes to flirt around is a different thing.
it depends on your definition of independent. For me, it also can mean a woman who is not always following you or clings to you. Myolie is definitely independent when it comes to business, but not when it comes to relationships. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing mind you, my wife is the jealous type and I ensure I don’t do anything that would upset her or give her reason for concern because making her happy makes me happy too.
There was an article on this site some time ago where Myolie discussed her insecurities with relationships and at that time thanked Bosco for helping her heal them to some extent. Too bad Bosco didn’t keep the faith.
Did Bosco cheat this time around before the breakup? We don’t know… we do know he has cheated on her previously and that she forgave him once. We also know that Bosco is (or was) a flirt and likes being around women. Yes, he seems to have mended his ways (for now), but we’ll see if that remains. Once a flirt as they say…
It’s too bad he didn’t modify his lifestyle before losing Myolie (that is, if he truly treasured her as he has claimed).

he’s not good enough for myolie because a flirty boyfriend = bad boyfriend = bad person! agree with TVBFANATIC statement he’s right once a flirt always a flirt and it’s unforgiveable! the worst thing as a boyfriend is flirting with other females when you have a girlfriend especially someone as nice as myolie! myolie is doing a good example role model to all females by kicking the bad person out her life totally! and she’s so much happier now with many new boyfriends pursuing her and lots of time to spend with her gang nancy, mandy, paisley wu and build her career and making money!

@selfiwu: There is nothing to ensure that neither Rebecca nor Tracy nor Charmaine is chasing Ma Ming. The key word is “rumour”. If Myolie has any interested in Ma Ming, she would do it herself and vice versa. Stop pushing her to him or anyone else. Even if he is snatched, I doubt she’ll have a little bother. Simply that.
As for why Boscolie broke up, they themselves know why and how to move on. And now only ppl like you keep bashing Bosco. Not because you like Myolie or hate Bosco, just because you are pathetic.

Since Kenneth had dated Myolie’s BFF, Nancy Wu, the chances for Kenneth and Myolie to hook up would be low. Also Myolie seems to be interested in someone more ambitious, while Kenneth is very laid-back.
Well said Fox and I don’t get why everyone blames Bosco for the break up. Honestly, no one knows the true reason besides them and the past is the past. What is the point of speculating and blaming it all on Bosco??? That will not do any good. Who knows, what if Myolie did something to provoke him??? You never know since none of us know her or Bosco personally.
