Bosco Wong to Build a Resort in Malaysia?

Hong Kong tabloids are claiming that Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) is investing in a billion-dollar business in Malaysia, with plans to open up a feng shui resort with Master Szeto Fat-ching (司徒法正). According to the reports, Bosco is expected to earn up to $3 billion HKD in profits, should the business be a success.

This rumor came about after a photo of Bosco with Master Szeto surfaced online. The photo was taken during a dinner that Bosco had hosted in Hong Kong. Attendees included Master Szeto and CB Chew, a wealthy Malaysian datuk. Bosco reportedly met the datuk last year while he was doing a show in Malaysia. The source said Bosco, Szeto, and Chew were discussing about their resort project at the dinner.

But Bosco denied the rumor, calling it nonsense and ridiculous. He said, “I don’t even know anything about feng shui!” He clarified that his photo with Master Szeto was only during a casual dinner gathering. “I don’t know if he’s building a resort, but I know I’m definitely not,” said Bosco. “Perhaps people are confusing it with my drama Two Steps from Heaven <幕後玩家>. The show talked about my character doing business in Malaysia.”

Master Szeto said in a phone interview, “I didn’t know who Bosco was until that dinner. I don’t watch TV. He has a brain for business, and I admire it. He sounded interest in my resort project, and I would love for him to collaborate with us!”

Feng shui may not be Bosco’s forte, but the actor has been doing businesses in Malaysia for some time already. In 2011, Bosco invested in the pub and restaurant Over Time, and earned back all his investments within two years. He then invested nearly $8 million HKD to renovate the restaurant, changing its name to House Music Club, turning it into a music club with a live band. In 2013, Bosco purchased two additional properties in Malaysia.
