Celebrity Weddings: Guo Jingjing and Kenneth Fok
China’s 33-year-old Olympic “Diving Queen” Guo Jingjing (郭晶晶) and 31-year-old Kenneth Fok
(霍啟剛 ), grandson of the late Hong Kong tycoon Henry Fok (霍英東), tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at the Fok’s residence in Hong Kong yesterday. The wedding celebration was rumored to cost upwards of $300 million Hong Kong dollars. However, for Kenneth, it was a priceless moment to finally walk down the aisle with his girlfriend of 8 years.
The preparations for the festivities started the evening prior with the crew decorating the residence and preparing the food. On the morning of the ceremony, Jingjing arrived at the residence along with her parents and her bridesmaids, all dressed in off-shoulder light orange gowns. Around 10 AM, Kenneth’s parents arrived and shortly after, other family members, relatives and guests promptly arrived in time for the noon ceremony.
With approximately 100 guests in attendance, the ceremony began with the flower girls walking down the aisle followed by the 4 bridesmaids. Jingjing, looking classy in a gorgeous low-cut wedding gown and a long veil, linked arms with her father to walk down the aisle along with a big smile on her face.
The 45-minute ceremony was officiated by Basic Law Committee former deputy director Elsie Leung (梁愛詩). When Elsie asked the couple to say their vows, Jingjing was emotional and fought back tears of happiness while Fok’s smile beamed proudly. When they were finally pronounced as husband and wife, the newlyweds kissed passionately for 30 seconds, which was the highlight of the romantic and sweet ceremony.
Guests feasted on a buffet lunch and had plenty of opportunities to take photos and send their well wishes to the newlyweds.
While the couple declined media interviews, they released a few photos from the joyous occasion to the public. Through the photos, their joy and love for one another was undeniable.

Speaking from the video clip, the wedding doesn’t look that extravaganza to be $300M? Maybe bc the quality and the high end costs. I need to see more pictures esp when it’s $300M.
I think they are referring to the whole wedding costing 300M. They will also be holding another banquet in Hong Kong and China.

Wow 300 million dollars wedding very very grand now a day the younger couple of celebrity could think better than the older couple celebrities not to hide or run to other countries to secretly wed without letting their fans know. The younger couple of celebrity know how to cherish their important day for a life time congrats them.
She never really looks “happy” or “smiley” to me.. for some reason, she always looks held back and stiff. Hopefully she really had a big, genuine smile on her wedding day (though it doesn’t show in these pictures).
hahahha LOL…u cracked me up b/c thats what one of my colleagues says about her. she was like even thou she looks like she’s smiling she looks damn sad for some reason ahaha…LOL..i guess shes not the only one. for me i think she is just plain nothing more to say ahaha..but i think she already is BEAUTIFUL on her wedding day, other times shes just her haaha

It is refreshing to see a couple who is age appropriate to each tying the knot than the nauseating and usual affair of middle-aged guy/late-teen early 20s coupling that is quite common in HK.

I’m with Terminator.. does it really matter? Besides, Guo Jingjing does look older and more “mature” than Kenneth, so I’m not surprised if she is older.

Love those bridesmaid dresses! Gave me an idea for my bridesmaids dresses. His mom seems hard to handle. Congrats to them both n yes jing jing looks very sleepy all the time.
