Lawrence Ng to Wed 21-Year-Old Girlfriend

Lawrence Ng Kai Wah has been on a roller coaster ride in both his career and love life. In recent years, the 42 year-old Lawrence Ng has headed north to advance his career.

Reporters found that Lawrence has applied for a marriage license last Wednesday, with the intention of marrying his 21-year-old gilfriend and mainland actress, Sek Yeung Chi.

Lawrence entered TVB’s acting class in 1982. In 1991, he married a wealthy Thai woman, Varintra. Sadly, their marriage only lasted 5 years before ending in divorce.

Entering 2007, Kay Tse and Louis Cheng were the first celebrity couple to get married. It appears there will be numerous weddings to follow in the entertainment circle!

Lawrence met his current girlfriend and fiance, Sek Yeung Chi, 2 years ago while filming mainland production 《俠醫傳奇》. She is 21 years younger than him.

Accordingly, after Sek met Lawrence, she was willing to let go of her career and accommodate him in many ways. In November 2006, when Lawrence appeared on 《舞林大會比賽》, he proposed in front of the live audience. He proposed with a silk flower bouquet and Sek accepted!

Regarding marrying again, Lawrence said, “I had planned this long ago. A metaphysicist pointed out that it is best for me to get married in 2007. Later we will have a wedding banquet in Changchun [Sek's hometown]. We will also be holding a celebratory dinner in Hong Kong for some friends.”

Is Lawrence eager to have children in the auspicious year of the fire pig? “Yes I would love to, but it’s best to let things run their natural course.”

After marriage, Lawrence and his wife will reside in China.
