[Celebrity Weddings] Patrick Tang Ties the Knot with Sukie Shek
After dating for five years, Patrick Tang (鄧健泓) and Sukie Shek (石詠莉) finally tied the knot on December 29. Patrick successfully proposed to Sukie last year after the IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award ceremony, where Sukie won two awards. After the award ceremony, Patrick threw Sukie a celebration party and also surprised her with a proposal.
The five years they have been together were not without its ups and downs. Reflecting on their time together, Sukie recalled her most cherished memory with her now-husband, “My most unforgettable memory is my very first CD [produced with Patrick]. What makes it special is that, at the time, I didn’t know anything about the behind-the-scenes work. Fast forward to today, we have produced two.”
When asked about their plans for life after marriage, Patrick said, “Actually, every time we go on vacation is our honeymoon. We are always getting told by people around us that we are having our honeymoon in advance. We have already been on an advanced honeymoon three or four times!”
What vows will Patrick make to his new wife? Patrick thoughtfully responded, “Promises are easy when they are said. In these past few years, I have already been putting into action what I promised her. I did so in the past, I do so now, and I will continue to do so in the future.”
Hearing such sweet declarations, Sukie also took the opportunity to praise her husband. “In the past five years we have been together, he has exceeded my expectations and is better than I could have ever imagined. Unlike other celebrity weddings where there’s a lot of hoopla, this one feels very solid and practical, yet not missing the sweetness that comes with a loving relationship. It feels genuine is what I’m trying to express.
