Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng Prefer to Stay Friends
Since 2008’s Forensic Heroes 2 <法證先鋒II>, Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) and Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) have been frequently linked together. The couple’s involvement allegedly led to Kevin’s breakup with then-girlfriend Niki Chow (周麗淇). Timing was an issue that prevented Charmaine and Kevin’s relationship from advancing further in the past, but are there still chances for the power duo to get together once again?
Regarding her feelings over Kevin, Charmaine stated in an interview last year, “I feel that we do have a lot of conversational topics to talk about, but there is something that prevents further development between us.”
Since both Charmaine and Kevin are currently single, reports continued to link them together. Their joint appearances at recent promotional events stirred the dating gossip once again. At last week’s Christmas lighting event at a mall, Charmaine and Kevin did not seem awkward, but limited their interactions together.
When asked whether they would get back together, Charmaine calmly stated that Kevin and her have been friends all along and their relationship will only remain in that stage. However, they did not mind starring as lovers in a drama again; Charmaine said, “I don’t mind, but I worry if viewers will find it boring.”
Although Kevin admitted that he has remained in touch with Charmaine over the years, he said they are better off as friends. Kevin said, “There are many promotional events; there is not time to talk about reconciliation!” Kevin then diverted the attention from his love life to add, “I’m very happy for Nicky Wu (吴奇隆) and Hawick Lau (劉愷威)” due to the actors’ respective relationship developments.
But perhaps the sparks may not have fully faded, as during the event, Charmaine and Kevin both answered that their most memorable Christmas holidays were spent out of the country in Switzerland and Canada, where the snow truly brings out the Christmas atmosphere.

Kevin should give this relationship another chance. I think the reason it failed previously was because Charmaine was already earning plenty and maybe he felt others might think he was hooking up with her to further his own popularity / rely on her earnings? (I could be wrong in this speculation).

i hope time will tells and when the time is right for both Charmaine and Kevin to in a relationship, the day will come. Let’s pray and bless them with true happiness.
Having decided that they would remain just ‘friends’ they look more relaxed in each other’s company. After all, Kevin recently expressed that it would not be too bad if he remained single and that getting married is not that important to him now. Charmaine still looks very charming and chic these days though I find her skirt length a little too mini. Maybe I’m a little old fashioned still.
Something is definitely going on? Or is it the usual policy for couples to remain 10 feet apart and so the more comfortable 2 are together the least likelihood of a relationship?

I don’t know who you are talking about. if you are refering to Charmaine the answer is she never steal Kevin from Niki. I don’t know who you are refering to friends. I don’t think Charm knows niki they have never collaborated and Niki joined TVB after Charm leaved.

I think Charmaine Sheh was attracted to Kevin Cheng after pairing up with him in “Beyond the Realm of Conscience”. It is quite common for co-stars to fall in love after filming together as lovers. Niki Chow did same after filming “Hard Fate”, “Under the Canopy of Love”, and “The Seventh Day”. If anyone has to be blamed, it should be Kevin Cheng, not Charmaine Sheh. Kevin should have been loyal and devoted to Kiki Chow if he loved her.
None of us know what truly happened so we should not blame anyone. Regardless of whose fault it was, the oats is now the past.
