Charmaine Sheh Celebrates 39th Birthday

Even though Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) turned 39 yesterday, she boldly wore a low cut mini dress to show off her slim figure at a beauty spa salon promotional event today. Not worrying about being a year older, she energetically said, “The most exciting years of life are about to begin!”

Birthday With Friends

Charmaine, who usually has work on her birthdays, luckily had a day off this year to celebrate with her eight close friends, including Eric Tsang (曾志偉), Toby Leung (梁靖琪), Angela Tong (湯盈盈), Annie Man (文頌嫻), and Florence Kwok (郭少芸). Her friends presented Charmaine with one white and one red cake. Charmaine also happily recalled going to Ko Samui, Thailand for a mini vacation with her girlfriends, stating that the best gift she received for her birthday, was the amount of time she got to spend with close friends.

Although she is still single, Charmaine is not in a rush to meet her true love. Charmaine appeared to be willing to wait for Mr. Right, and even jokingly exclaimed, “You have to wait for good friends! He’ll come soon!”

Both Mainland and Hong Kong companies have approached Charmaine for work engagements, but she will leave it up to her management company to choose the best offers. “They’re all good. I’ll film what I can, but if they’re unsuitable then I’ll pass on the offers.”

  4. At 39, better focus on quality drama – 1 or 2 per year (for audience) and at same time look for Mr Right.

  6. Lucky that she got the money$$$$..women at her age hope they could settled down as fast as possible. Charmaine has the $$$, she can live it without any man

  7. Who needs men when a woman is wealthy, independent, happy, beautiful and with many good friends to share the moments. It is better off this way than get married with a man who brings headache and heartache. 😉

    1. And possibly leech off from her wealth as well. 😀

OMG!!!!!!!!! but even she is 39years old she still look beautiful and pretty!!!!!! always>.< and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CHARMAINE SEHEH!!!!!!!!

  14. Pretty sad to see all the “who needs a man” comments… so money and security can replace companionship? This goes the same for the idea of “who needs a woman”

I can’t imagine life without my wife/best friend/partner. The experiences we share together, plan to do together etc? I look forward to growing old together with her. It’s hard to cuddle up to / hold on to money/success/confidence.

    1. To each his own. You don’t need a (wo)man to be happy. As long as you are happy and content with your life, what’s wrong with that?

      1. Generally speaking, I think it is true when you’re still young and active. People will grow old, get married, have kids, etc. Friends can’t be with you forever as they have their own life too. Can you still say the same as you become older (40s, 50s, 60s, etc)? It s hard enough not having kid at old age, but no companion either? I’m sure there is exception, but not many.

      2. I think it is hard to do. I’m not saying anything is ‘wrong’ with it… please note that in “sad” I actually mean the original meaning of the word “sad” meaning unhappy – not the new definition which is more of a derision.

      3. I guess it is okay if your health is good. It will definitely be a big help to have a partner when you are sick or old.

      4. Any wonder why old men marry (when they are old) to young women?

    2. Well, tvbfanatic. To each his/her own. Maybe you feel ‘sad’ because it decreases your chances/opportunities to get what you want? Who says everybody needs to get married and have children so that they won’t be alone and will be taken care by their children when they are old? This is why the saying “human beings are the products of the society” comes from. Everybody has to do the same thing repeatedly. Otherwise, it is ‘sad’.

    3. “I look forward to growing old together with her.”

Don’t worry, tvbfanatic. As you grow older, you won’t feel the same. You’ll feel the other way round instead.
