Charmaine Sheh Holds $100 Million in Property Assets

Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) is one of Hong Kong’s wealthiest celebrities. After grabbing a double crown in last year’s TVB Anniversary Awards, winning both Best Actress and My Favorite Female Character for her portrayal in the drama Line Walker <使徒行者>, Charmaine has received another boost in her acting career. This year, she starred in the theatrical blockbuster Triumph in the Skies <衝上雲霄>, and will soon be seen in the upcoming Return of the Cuckoo <十月初五的月光>, a film adaptation of the 2000 TVB drama of the same name.

Charmaine’s wealth has also increased. The actress recently purchased two linked houses in Sai Kung that are worth $35 million HKD in total. Owning five houses, the combined market value of buildings owned by Charmaine is estimated to be worth over $100 million HKD, putting her as one of the richest celebrities in Hong Kong.

A smart investor, Charmaine has been consistently investing on real estate in the last ten years. In 2011, Charmaine purchased a luxury home in Mount Beacon for more than $18 million HKD. In 2012, the 40-year-old actress purchased a thousand square feet flat in Happy Valley for $30 million HKD, and a $8 million HKD flat in Hung Hom in 2013.

With her TVB contract ending at the end of the year, Charmaine is being poached by numerous agencies. Earlier, it was rumored that TVB’s upcoming rival, Hong Kong Television Entertainment (HKTVE), is interested in signing Charmaine. To convince her to stay, it has been said that TVB is willing to pay Charmaine up to $50 million HKD to renew her contract.

  1. Congratulations, Charmaine, for being a good actress/investor. However, it makes it harder for her to find her better half. Charmaine does not seem to be interested in the guys coming from wealthy families.

  2. From being 3rd place in the Miss HK Pageant to where she is now, she’s come a long way and done so well for herself. Good on her!

  3. a lot of artist succeeded but also a lot crash down to rock bottom… she had an annoying voice while she debuted as an actress but still got chances and support from TVB, which explains where she is right now. It’s been a lot of work for sure to change that image.

It’s sad how some underrated actor/actress doesn’t get the chance or the opportunity she got. TVB can be a b**** lol

  4. Agree that Charmaine Sheh was lucky to have the support and chance from TVB in her acting career. However, I must say that she has worked really hard to improve her voice and acting in the last ten years to get her to where she is now. Many artistes don’t improve much even they have been in the acting business for over 15 years.
