Chin Ka Lok and Angela Tong’s Daughter Turns 3 Months

Chin Ka Lok (錢嘉樂) and Angela Tong’s (湯盈盈) beloved daughter, Alyssa Chin, was born on March 10, 2013. To celebrate Alyssa’s 100-day mark, the couple’s friends threw a surprise party for the Chins earlier in June.

Alyssa’s elaborate 3D cake also attracted many compliments. Designed by good friend Timmy Hung (洪天明), the cake featured the display of edible monkeys dressed up as Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, and Iron Man, the characters from Marvel’s comic The Avengers. Smaller monkeys and bananas of different colors decorated around the rim of the layered cake, which ready, “Alyssa, Happy 100 Days.”

Celebrities Rush to Order 3D Cakes

The cake shop that made Alyssa’s custom cake also built the Finding Nemo-inspired 100-days cake for Timmy Hung and Janet Chow’s (周家蔚) son, TJ (洪大仁), who held his 100-day celebration last month. The cake shop, located in a small bakery in Fanling, New Territories, is known for producing 3D cakes for many celebrities. Joey Yung (容祖兒) had her birthday cake decorated with edible roses, bay leaves, and crystal balls, while Louis Koo (古天樂) had a three-layered Star Wars-themed birthday cake.

The cake shop is also praised for their production of edible faux foods. One displayed cake was designed to look like a barbecue, and another was designed to look like a large Chinese meal. The bakery is one of Hong Kong’s most popular cake shops, and those who order a custom-made cake must book it two months in advance.

  1. Happy 100-day celebration, Alyssa, and congratulations to Angela and Chin Ka Lok.

  2. WOW, time really flies! Happy 100 days to Alyssa and congrats to Angela and Ka Lok. Those cakes are really nice and amazing. They look more like figures/figurines rather than actual cakes. I would not have the heart to eat such beautiful cakes. I would have a figure like that for a keepsake.

  3. Happy 100 days Alyssa and congrats to the happy parents. 🙂

  6. alyssa chin has the same chinese name as angela tong haha

    1. I doubt that Alyssa has the same Chinese name as Angela Tong’s. If so, this is the first time that I heard of having same Chinese name as Mom’s. It is some kind of disrespect as per Chinese traditions. Alyssa’s Chinese name was not even mentioned in the Chinese source. It could be a typo only.

    2. Alyssa’s Chinese name was never mentioned in the article reported in Chinese source.

Moreover, if Alyssa has the same Chinese name as Angela Tong’s, who is going to receive and open the mail/parcel if it is addressed to 湯盈盈? He he …..

      1. Another mistake is made by the translator in his/her translation!!
