Dayo Wong’s “Agent Mr. Chan” Unveils First Teaser
After over a year of preparation and filming, the spy comedy Agent Mr. Chan <棟篤特工> is ready for release, and is slated to open in Hong Kong theaters as 2018’s Lunar New Year film.
Written by Dayo Wong (黃子華), the film stars Dayo as a former English spy who is used by a high-ranking police official (Charmaine Sheh 佘詩曼) to solve a case. The film is riddled with Dayo’s iconic jokes and rhythm-binding phrases that complement his sold-out stand-up comedy shows. For a comedian who has carried the nickname “box office poison” for so long, maybe this film would be the one to break it.

Didn’t really see much of You are Hired (2009), but I am sure that people who enjoyed Dayo and Charmaine’s chemistry there may be pleased to see them collaborating again! Dayo is a pretty funny man!
