Eliza Sam Did Not Spend V-Day With Boyfriend

TVB actress Eliza Sam (岑麗香) attended a Valentine’s Day event at Metro City on Sunday. Eliza, who confirmed last year that she is in a relationship, spent her Valentine’s Day alone.

The Angel In-the-Making <實習天使> star said she was not able to spend her first Valentine’s Day with boyfriend Joshua because he was at work overseas. However, Eliza reassured that they plan to meet up in a month.

“It is a pity that we couldn’t meet up, but we both agree that quality time with each other is more important than any special occasion. Besides, I am usually the forgetful one,” said Eliza.

The 31-year-old said she has already prepared a hand-made gift for Joshua. “A relationship expert told me that the key to a long-lasting relationship is to have surprises and thrill. I didn’t give him the gift yet, so I don’t want to say what it is. Let’s keep it a surprise.”

Would Joshua surprise Eliza at her doorstep? “I don’t think he’ll do that. My mother is usually the one opening the door! That would be awkward!”

There has been rumors claiming that Eliza is planning to tie the knot soon with Joshua, but the TVB actress denied the rumors. “We need to take it one step at a time. Of course it’s a happy occasion, but it needs to be at the right time.” Eliza also expressed that she would like to have kids, but that would only be something she’d consider after marriage.

    1. @happybi while that is true to some extent, celebrities, as they are humans too, sometimes makes the mistakes of marrying too fast. so i guess that’s why the reporters as her such question. tbh, i think Myolie may have married her hubby a lil too fast…in my personal opinion, 1 year is not enough to know what type of a person someone is. but best wishes to Eliza and her boyfriend.

      1. @akinu I think it depend. As if they were living together already prior to them deciding to get marry, I think they should have a good understanding of each other already. But yes, do wish them the best!!!!

      2. @happybi i was raised traditionally by my Asian parents so we don’t believe in living with your boyfriend before marriage and to not marry after only knowing your boyfriend for a year or less. but i will still wish Eliza and her boyfriend Joshua the best!

      3. @akinu ehheheh I was raised in a traditional family too…. honestly I would never live with someone before marriage myself but as I get older I feel it’s not a bad idea really. As it’s then you won’t be in for any surprise in living habits. As some can be a deal breaker for couples! And with her being in her mid 30s, she may feel her biological clock is clicking.. I know I have a friend who is turning 39 this year and is still not married. I think she’s ready to settle just to have kids!

      4. @happybi i see. well if Eliza sees her boyfriend a potential marriage partner in the near future, wish her the best of luck. on whether she wants kids yet or not is questionable due to her age nearing 35.
