Unfazed by their 12-year age gap, Elva Hsiao (萧亚轩) and Kai Ko (柯震东) once again flaunted their love publicly. Behaving like newlyweds n their trip to Huadong, Taiwan, the love birds displayed their affections openly during a dinner with friends. Although Elva and Kai claimed to be only friends, Kai was spotted stroking Elva’s back numerous times during the dinner. They allegedly checked into the same guesthouse, leading to speculations that they might have spent the night together.
Kai’s Income Increases After Dating Elva
Kai’s career progressed rapidly after he was rumored to be dating the 32-year-old pop diva. After winning the Best New Performer Award at the Golden Horse Awards last year, Kai also released his debut album shortly after. He later filmed several movies, namelyWhen a Wolf Falls in Love with a Sheep <南方小羊牧場> and Together <Together在一起>, leading to a large jump in his income.
Elva and Kai Change for Each Other?
In May, Kai underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor. After the surgery, Elva reportedly changed her lifestyle. Previously, Elva loved to frequent night spots, but now she is going to the gym more often. Kai and Elva reportedly started to lead a healthy exercise by working out together regularly.
In order to prevent any rumors with his female costars, Kai was cautious to maintain distance from them. Earlier, he was filming Together with Angelababy. When Angelababy greeted him, Kai did not respond and instead avoided to have any contact with her. After completing the filming, Kai simply waved goodbye to Angelababy without saying much to her.

Responding to Elva and Kai’s recent ‘honeymoon’ trip, Elva’s manager replied, “It’s not easy for Elva to take a few days off to go rafting with good friends. It’s a healthy leisure [trip].”
Kai’s manager also acknowledged the couple’s relationship as friends, “Kai Ko is on a vacation with a group of good friends. That’s all.”

i know, 12 years is alot esp weird when the girl is the elder. i remember a OLD TVB actress Nadia Chan or something she is old too and that china hubby she married is young and good looking compare to her so it’s not surprising anymore. Most people expressed the same disgust at Raymond. Any adult involved with someone in or barely out of their teens has serious issues. All that plastic surgery must have gone to Elva’s brain.
Different in one point: Elva and Kai Ko admitted they are dating while LF and Karena both denied. Only Karena the one who is continuing with the “invitation”.
I can already predict the ending. Kai Ko is gonna get tired of Elva eventually, next comes the cheating with some other younger chick and the relationship end in a messy breakup.
Isn’t this almost like Nic-Faye’s relationship. Faye was 31 when she dated Nic who was only 19 at the time. Plus, she was a divorcee with a child from her first husband. I thought their relationship was weird, and as I predicted it didn’t last. The end result is going to be same for Elva and Kai Ko…just like the rest of them older female-younger male relationships, i.e. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Courtney Cox and David Arquette, Madonna and Guy Ritchie, etc…
It often happens in many cases that a big gap with a Jie Di relationship does not last long…I think that is why many often frown uppn those kinds of relationships more than the ones where the guy is a lot older. They can last, but it is pretty rare as we have seen with a number of cases. I also don’t think that Elva and Kai Ko will last long. How many years is considered a big age gap in a Jie Di relationship??

Nnadia Chan is 40 and her husband is 32 so the age difference is 8 years old, not in Elva and Kai Ko’s case. Kai Ko is only 20 and Elva is 32. The age gap is 12.
Nnadia Chan looks good for her age so she and her husband look compatible together.
But, I guess there is no age boundary in love because as long as the couple is happy together.
An age gap of 8 years when one is 40 and one is 32 is not to obvious as at that age, both parties would have the same goals eg settling down and having a family. However an age gap of 20 and 32 would be really different. Most 20 year olds are still studying at university and people at 32 today are probably married or planning to get married soon.
Well having said that, I guess this only applies to normal people like you and me who are out having a normal working career in medicine, business or law and probably would not apply to someone in the entertainment industry. I think an age gap of 5 years is the most that I would be able to accept. I wonder what the rest of you think.
I think it’s up to the man. He is ready to think of the marriage or not. Look at wat happened to Da S and Vic Zhou. Can’t deny their breakup is partly due to the marriage reason.
