Eva Huang Strips to Raise Cancer Awareness

Mainland actresses are increasingly playing more active roles in raising breast cancer awareness. Following Yang Mi (杨幂) and Bai Baihe (白百何), Eva Huang (黃聖依) is the latest celebrity to daringly pose nude for a breast cancer campaign.  Joining Eva in the Trends Health magazine cover are singer Momo Wu (吳莫愁) and actress Zhang Xinyi (張歆藝).

Urging citizens to help spread the news and actively participate in charity events supporting breast cancer, Eva, Momo, and Xinyi did not mind to strip for the black-and-white photo spread. With a sports theme in mind, the female artistes posed with boxing gloves, tennis rackets, and other sports equipment.

Taiwanese supermodel Chiling Lin (林志玲) appeared in more modest stills, in which she carried a surfboard that blocked her figure from her shoulders to thighs.

As the most popular and highest paid supermodel in Taiwan, Chiling has consistently given back to the community. Regarded as a philanthropist, Chiling established a charity fund specifically to support child welfare. Using her star status, she also took part in the World Vision AIDS Orphan Project in 2006, and was a member of Procter & Gamble’s Breast Cancer Prevent Association from 2004 to 2008. Actively supporting breast cancer charity groups, it is not a surprise that she appeared in the recent photo spread for Trend’s Health.

  1. Why need to strip to gain awareness? They’ll gain attention to themselves than the campaign itself. Why can’t they do something more productive like participate in marathon, doing charity work than stripping? I don’t get it.

    1. What more. They add a sport theme to the photo-shoot. Does the photographer really want to bring breast cancer awareness or just fulfilling his fantasy?

  2. I can never understand how nudity, cancer awareness and charity go together. Just another excuse to strip in the name of charity.

  3. What does nakedness have to do with breast cancer? Cannot make the connection.

  4. From what I see, this is not about cancer awareness. These mainlanders just want to seek media attention.

    1. Plenty of HK and Taiwan actresses show off their boobs and butts for media attention.

  5. What does nudity have to do with breast cancer and awareness raising?
Well, for starters, people cannot talk about breast cancer unless they can look at an image of the nude female body and talk about breasts. And if you can’t talk about it, you can’t raise awareness. Unfortunately, the female breasts and body is still a subject of taboo in many countries and cultures and often treated with perversion. Until people can overcome this stigma and engage in rational and mature dialogue, then there will continue to be a need for people to pose nude in order to raise awareness.

    1. When will campaigns be launched for prostrate cancer awareness? They should line up hot actors for those nude shots.

  6. Eva Huang use to be pretty… she can keep herself that way, unfortunately she didn’t maintain herself well… she’s only 31 and she looks 50’ish…. that is so sad to see.
