Felix Wong’s Daughter to Debut in New CTI Drama
Felix Wong’s (黃日華) 21-year-old daughter, Adrian Wong (黄芷晴), is all set to make her first screen debut! Yesterday, Felix and Adrian attended a signing ceremony for Ricky Wong’s (王維基) television station, City Telecom (CTI). The father and daughter team will collaborate in CTI’s new detective drama, which is slated to begin production this August.
Felix revealed that he will share many scenes with Adrian. He will also be her personal director and guide her acting. Felix publicly thanked CTI for giving them a chance to perform together, and is excited to be able to work in a new environment.
Felix Wong’s Daughter All Grown Up
Born in 1990, Adrian is the only daughter of Felix and retired actress Leung Kit Wah (梁潔華). Currently attending her fourth and last year in Hong Kong University, Adrian will officially enroll in CTI’s artist training class to take acting lessons after her graduation. Extremely active in clubs and social events at school, Adrian was dubbed as a renown beauty at her school.
At the ceremony, CTI presented Felix and Adrian with “Lotus Green Bean Octopus Soup,” wishing their acting career to be as exuberant as an octopus’ legs! Ricky Wong said, “I extremely admire Felix’s exquisite acting! With Felix, his daughter Adrian, and CTI’s serious film making, I believe that we will be able to provide the audience with outstanding dramas and new television experiences! I really appreciate Felix’s trust to allow his daughter to debut in our station. Felix and I all wish for Adrian to be the industry’s next big star!”
Felix Wong: A Legendary Actor Once Again in the Limelight
A known member of the Five Tigers, which also included famous actors Tony Leung (梁朝偉), Andy Lau (劉德華), Michael Miu (苗僑偉), and Kent Tong (湯鎮業), Felix was one of Hong Kong and Southeast Asia’s most popular young television actors of the 1980s. He was known for portraying classical wuxia characters such as Monk Xuzhu from 1982’s Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils <天龍八部>, Guo Jing from 1983’s The Legend of the Condor Heroes <射鵰英雄傳>, and Qiao Feng from the 1997 adaptation of Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils.
Felix Wong’s television comeback in 2010 TVB anniversary drama, Gun Metal Grey <刑警>, was a critical success, drawing in an average of 1.92 million viewers per episode. Although Gun Metal Grey became an internet sensation, the drama was thrown in the backburner by TVB, as the company decided to publicly celebrate the successes of their other anniversary drama, No Regrets <巾幗梟雄之義海豪情> instead. This deeply upset Felix, which may have ultimately prompted him to sign with CTI.

I hope his daughter will do well, or else she would probably be heavenly criticizes since her father is so popular in TV land even though this is will be her first project. Anyhow, it’s pretty cool that she is almost done university and will attend acting school, at least she is serious about becoming an actress, instead of relay all on her connections.

I still cannot believe that Felix’s daughter is now all grown up! Somehow, an image of an eternally young Felix Wong is still stuck in my mind, in which I do not associate him as a middle-aged man with an adult-age daughter.
Felix and Adrian’s new CTI drama was rumored earlier to be inspired by Hollywood movie, “Sixth Sense.”
So nice to see a father and daughter collaboration in the entertainment industry……….it would be refreshing to see someone educated, like Felix’s daughter go into this business. Unlike all those young ones at TVB that barely finished highschool…….I think the TVB young ones look good on the outside but sure lack a bit of class and sophistication……..

Education does not make a better actress. It’s nice to see young people value their education and finish school properly before they take on entertainment dreams though.
It’s life experience that cultivates good acting skills for the most part. Not everyone is born an acting prodigy.
It is true that being highly educated does not make you a better actress, however, people may view you differently since it would show that you chose to finish your education first before trying to enter the circle. The older generation like my mom for example would respect artists that place their education above entering the circle.
If I was her father, she’ll should compete Miss Hong Kong 2012 or next year…..just get more recognition.
Nobody cares about miss Hk. Besides Felix hates tvb why would he allow her to join their competition.
Because she is an adult and she is free to make her decision. But he is doing what a dutiful father does; accompanying her hence this news. question is can she act? she looks rather mature or maybe I just assume Felix is forever young.

I also do not think that she looks okay and is not a beauty,however, in order to be a successful actress she will need more than looks. I think Felix’s wife looked better than his daughter when she was her age.

Felix Wong’s wife was not pretty at all. She was never promoted by TVB because there were too many pretty actresses at her time, such as Yammie Lam Kit-Ying, Margie Tsang Wah-Sin, Idy Chan Yuk-Lin, Jamie Chic Mei-Chun, Kitty Lai Mei-Han, Carina Lau Ka-Ling, Yung Mei-Ling, and many others.
Based on Adrian’s above photo, she seemed to look prettier than her mother.
I think many do not think highly of Felix’s wife because she was not a famous actress and only played supporting roles. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally did not think that Jamie or Kitty looked that great and they both did not age well either. Anyways, each to their own….
Wong Kit Wah, Felix Wong’s wife, had very minor roles in drama series when she was with TVB. Of course, she should be pretty in Felix’s eyes. But, being an actress, she had to be pretty and had good acting skills in order to impress her audience. If you don’t think Jamie and Kitty are pretty, she is a lot worse. Jamie was very pretty when was young, Kitty was okay but not amazingly pretty.
Did you watch the series that Felix’s wife starred in?? I would not say that all of the roles that she played we’re minor, they were better classified as supporting roles. I agree that Jamie did look pretty when she was really young at about 19 to 20 years old, but after that I do not think Jamie looked that great. I think Jamie only looked really pretty in the Sacred Commandments but that was it. Kitty was never really pretty to me. But anyways, like I have said many times beauty is in the eye if the beholder. I do not have to agree with you and you do not have to agree with me.

I think she’s gorgeous and Felix being her mentor/teacher/director will undoubtedly be a great advantage. That said, I think it would have been better if she had taken those acting classes ~first.
Isn’t she studying acting at Uni? She will enroll in the CTI acting classes (ok I doubt the quality), still im sure her father has taught her alot already.
She seems passionate/serious abt acting which is a good thing since she’s taking acting classes where others in her position could easily entered by showing their bodies.
Now you can say that she isn’t a beauty, but that doesn’t matter in Miss HK 😀

I have no idea what she’s studying at uni – if it’s acting, then that’s good. Regarding acting classes, no matter the quality, it’s better than nothing at all – like Miss HK.
I’m sure he’s taught her a lot, but acting isn’t purely something that can be taught and I think real experience/interaction weigh a lot too.
She does seem quite serious and diligent, since she could easily rely on her connections (only) and her body to gain entrance but chooses to spend time practising the craft.

Artists have commented on Ricky Wong’ s sincerity in the past. His comment in thanking Felix Wong for entrusting his daughter’s debut is sincerely word. The more brash way would have been to announce Adrian’s debut at a star-studded press conference.
It is Ricky’s personal management style and respect that marks him as different from Tvb’s ways. Most of Tvb’s top executive managers do not carry this thankful attitude for their employees’ services.
Just a side note with one of them is working with CTI….

Not exceptional eye candy , but she’s pretty and easy on the eyes.. More curious about her acting chops .. they get prettier as they advance .. I never found Sheren tag exceptionally pretty but she’s really got this magnificient screen presence . And even for gigi lai which i found to be one of the most beautiful tvb fadans , didnt look as gorgeous as she does when she started . They get better and i hope Adrain’s acting measures up to her dad’s .. Felix wong is always awesome.
