Sunday Magazine published unauthorized photos of Fiona Sit Hiu Kei in her underwear briefs at home. According to the tabloid, the 28-year-old Fiona and 27-year-old Jaycee Chan (aka Fong Cho Ming) fell in love while filming Young <早熟> in 2005. Allegedly, Fiona and Jaycee recently ended their four year relationship due to Fiona’s princess attitude and Jaycee’s frequent rumors with other women.
The tabloid reported that Fiona was depressed by the recent break-up. She broke into sudden tears at her recording studio. Unable to put aside the relationship, Fiona allegedly binged on food, did not want to sleep nor even bothered to put on her pants at home. Fiona’s mother, Mrs. Sit, attended to her at home. Photos of Mrs. Sit in a tank top and shorts were also published by the tabloid.
Fiona Blasts the Paparazzi for Violation of Her Privacy
Fiona said that her home was her haven and where her privacy should be respected. She was most comfortable in her own home and did not expect to be photographed. Since her living room window faced the wall of the adjacent building, she did not take the usual precautions while lounging in her underwear.
Feeling violated by the unauthorized photos, Fiona cried over the incident. She said that Sunday Magazine did not respect women. Laws existed in Hong Kong to protect women, but she felt violated and harassed by this incident. Even when walking on the streets, Fiona felt no sense of security either.
Fiona’s record company issued a statement that they reserved the rights to sue Sunday Magazine.

Jayne: If Mrs. Sit were not in the photos, my pessimistic side would have questioned whether this was a publicity stunt. However, Fiona may truly have been a victim of the intrusive paparazzi and voyeuristic demands of tabloid readers.

Now comparing to Ah Gill’s incident few years back, TVB and hordes of artistes went on full force to “protect” Ah Gill’s supposed image. Since Fiona is a Warner artiste, we won’t see TVB doing the same thing this time. I wonder if Eric Tsang the new leader and the HK artiste association will do anything.
Though both Gillian and Fiona cases are disrespectful and invasion of privacy, Fiona had it much worse. I mean the world world sees in knickers compared to one bare shoulder and a bra strap.
At least Fiona did not kick up a bawling fuss and said that it portrays her badly as a idol for young children and fans…

Although I do agree that what one do in one’s home is one’s business, but I wouldn’t prance around in my undies at that age, maybe if I was 12. I don’t know much about Fiona but hopefully her father was not in the house, otherwise, that is quite inappropriate.

Anyway she really does look like she is letting herself go in a big way. Probably depression. And do you walk around in your knickers at age 28 in front of your mother? The last pic of her on the sofa is classic. I mean that just says everything!
And next time people, close the curtains if you intend to walk around in your underwear, you live in high rise building, you work in the entertainment industry and you’ve just recently been dumped.
I don’t think this is publicity stunt because if it is she will pick a nicer underwear or sit more ladylike and purposeful and yes the papparazzi are terrible BUT you just don’t hand them these pictures on a silver platter to them. In the end blame yourself more.
I don’t care how popular or hated you are in the entertainment industry, it’s wrong to have your privacy invaded. People in the entertainment industry dedicate their lives to entertain us with their singing, acting, dancing. They don’t entertain us by having their privacy invaded. They’re normal folks too so why should they have to go out of their way for privacy when it’s rightfully theirs as a citizen of their respective country? The pap needs to respect their privacy. It’s one thing to ask who are you dating out of curiosity, but it’s another to snoop, sneak, spy, etc. to get a picture of their significant other in a loving embrace or compromising position.
That’s not fair to say someone’s “letting themselves go” or “depressed” just cuz they walk around in their underwear. It’s just a preference. I’m in my mid-20s and I walk around the house in my underwear all the time. Admittedly, probably not when my mom’s around, but maybe she just has that relationship with her mom. Who are we to pass judgment?
I agree that her home is her home. She should be able to do whatever she pleases without having to worry about people taking photos of her through her window. If her window faced someone else’s window, then I agree she should have been more careful about drawing the blinds when she’s in her undies, but the article says her property faces a (presumably windowless) wall. Maybe it was a bit careless, but she didn’t really have a reason to think that someone might see her through her window.
Why paparazzi nowadays stood so low ? sigh….
