Flora Chan Denies Being Beaten by Husband

Earlier seen with a bruise by her eyebrow, gossip reports claim that Flora Chan (陳慧珊) was beaten by her husband. She immediately stepped forward to refute the domestic violence claims on her husband, Mike Chung (鍾家鴻). “Everyone knows how great my husband is, and there is definitely no need for me to tell everyone about the things that go around in my family.”

Yesterday, Flora and Ada Choi (蔡少芬) recorded an episode for TVB’s Dinner Confidential <燭光晚餐>, a new talk show hosted by award-winning actor Anthony Wong (黃秋生) and famous host Luisa Maria Leitão (黎芷珊). Flora denounced the domestic violence accusations and clarified that the bruise came from an accident she had several days ago. She explained that she accidentally slammed her forehead against the corner of her car door while she was at the park with her daughter. Cutting through her skin, she immediately bled, and her daughter called Mike to help Flora treat the injury. She was then taken to the hospital and received five stitches.

Flora is not worried that the injury would leave behind a scar as it can easily be covered up with makeup. Ada revealed that her youngest daughter spilled boiling water on her legs, leaving behind a few scars. She laughed, “That’s the life of mothers!”

With her work in the TVB drama M Club <女人俱樂部> completed, Flora is back to school and is currently working on her master’s dissertation. After July, she will apply for a PhD program.

  1. well with the way she looks, she was beaten by something… HIYOO!!!

  2. Well, a bruise or a scratch and the media claims that she is beaten by her husband!?! Exaggerated much….

  3. The media is getting too out of control. The Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan media are so out of touch, uneducated, uncivilized and shameless in their job.

Sometimes they are so right about the “rumors” that are so 100% true. Other times, they are like possessed unfed pitbulls chomping away ruthlessly and shamelessly to sell their newspapers, or get their news across on TV.

There is no mention in the article that they have concrete or specific proof that Flora was beaten by her husband. Bollucks, bullcrap.

On a lighter side though, Flora was not beaten by her husband, cause that sort of thing only happen to the female celebrities in the Western world and other places, not in the chinese entertainment world.

  4. Respect people’s privacy especially their family life.

Always like her drama. She has this intellectual, independent, self confidence spirit around her that very few actresses have.
