Gigi Leung’s One-Year Relationship Over
Break-up news between Gigi Leung Wing Kei and her Caucasian boyfriend, Matthew, surfaced earlier. Yesterday, Gigi appeared a promotional event in Beijing. Gigi appeared in good spirits and smiled throughout. On the other hand, Matthew appeared to be lonely and unhappy since Gigi revealed their split publicly. Allegedly, Matthew only learned of their official split through the press.
Gigi and Matthew dated for one year. In March, Gigi took a vacation in Spain to forget about the pain of breaking-up. It appears that Gigi recovered quickly from the relationship. Although she did not answer any of the press’ questions regarding the break-up, she appeared in good spirits.
Matthew worked at the U.S. Consulate in Hong Kong. His three-year term in Hong Kong was nearing closure and Matthew would transfer back to the United States next year. Allegedly, this may have been one of the reasons Gigi decided to end the relationship. After regaining her single status, Gigi revealed that she invested in a company, pursuing the track of a career woman.

I don’t think Gigi should care anymore about what Ekin does unless they remained friends and kept in touch(which I doubt). They broke up so long ago that I think they have both moved on by now. If she did want to know, I bet it is just out of curiousity and nothing more…
Some fans of Gigi believe that she still love Ekin. After Gigi broke up with this white guy, many fans wished Ekin and Gigi will be back together like Sammi and Andy. There were news about this too. However, I believe it will never happen as they wished because Ekin’s very happy with Yoyo, they’re such loving couple.
This gig Leung is no angel. I heard she’s a piece of work in real life, very bitchy and can be nasty to people working for her.

The fact is that HK actresses and certain HK celebs think that having these interracial relationships boosts their social status. They never realize that it is always short-lived and short-term because of all the cultural differences and that it will always be awkward hanging around a white guy in HK. Yes, it works much better in America because people there are color-blind and do not care whether an Asian is with a black, white or red man. But in HK, these stupid ladies always try to hook up with a white guy to show that they have some higher social status and then the white guys always leaves after the sex dies down…..obviously, Gigi did not have enough woman in her to hold on to this white guy or vice versa. HK ladies should just stick to Asian men there despite the low-quality in the supply.

Thanks dude, I’m glad some of the readers can tell that the truth can sometimes be hilarious. Yes, the truth is definitely crude and maybe even sometimes harsh….but, sure beats all the others who keep saying those sympathetic lies. I’ll keep the hilarious stuff coming.

I am sorry but I don’t think that you boost your social status by dating a white guy. If that were the case, then how come sooo many of them still marry Chinese/asians?? Caucasians go to Asian countries a lot now as compared to the past. Most of the ones that do date caucasians seem to the be the ones that are from Canada and america since they don’t have the language barrier. I think there is some truth to what you are saying, but it doesn’t apply to everyone.

Didn’t Gigi date someone named Sly? or was it before this current boyfriend? I heard that she broke up with her other boyfriend because her mom didn’t like the fact that he wasn’t Chinese/asian.
I personally think that as long as you are in love and are compatible, then race/nationality should not be an issue.
I read or hear in some gossips that Gigi’s mom doesn’t approved of her white boyfriend. Maybe that kinda of put a damp on the relationship?

Even if one person does not want the relationship to end, when their partner is unwilling to continue or compromise, there is no more relationship. It sounds cold and a bit callous, but that’s just the reality of the situation. :T One sided willingness doesn’t count for much if the other person is not sympathetic towards the other.
If it’s true that Matthew just learned of their split through the press, then damn boy, move one quick! This one is not the right one for you.
