Grace Chan and Sisley Choi On Their Friendship

Freshly crowned Miss Chinese International Grace Chan (陳凱琳) is preparing for a busy schedule ahead. The first Miss Hong Kong to win the Miss Chinese International crown since Sonija Kwok (郭羨妮) in 2000, Grace has already been cast in the upcoming TVB drama Trade Wars <商戰>, starring alongside Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Raymond Wong (黃浩然), and Edwin Siu (蕭正楠).

Grace will not be the only TVB rookie to look forward to in 2014. Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), first runner-up at the 2013 Miss Hong Kong pageant, has already completed the filming of her debut TVB drama Ox Head Loves Horse Mouth <牛頭愛搭馬嘴>, and she will also be costarring with Grace in the upcoming Trade Wars.

The two friends and Miss Hong Kong winners share the same dream – to become successful actresses. Sisley helped Grace prepare her first acting role in Trade Wars by sharing her experiences gained from Ox Head Loves Horse Mouth.

Grace expressed her joy in working with Sisley, “We’ve been contacting each other more often after the pageant. We grew a lot closer, and she was genuinely happy for me when she knew I’d be filming a drama. She also gave me a lot of support when I was competing for the Miss Chinese International pageant. The friendship we share is hard to come by.”

Sisley cherishes her friendship with Grace, “In Sandra Ng’s (吳君如) earlier interview, she mentioned how she and Carina Lau (劉嘉玲) were friends since TVB’s artist class [in 1983]. I really hope that Grace and I will be like them, to continue to support each other and keep the friendship we have.”

They joked that if they were to fight over the same man in the same drama, they would rather give up the man, exclaiming, “Friendship comes first!”

Grace said, “In the end, the love from family and friends are the most important.” Sisley added, “[Romantic] love is something that we would eventually go through in life, but we cannot impose on it. I will let nature take its course. Right now, I should concentrate on my career. To be recognized for my work in dramas greatly satisfies me.”

Moon Lau and Tiffany Ou Yang Want to Work with Anthony Wong

Miss Hong Kong second runner-up, Moon Lau (劉佩玥), and Miss Friendship, Tammy Ou Yang (歐陽巧瑩), revealed that they are currently striving for the opportunity to be featured in Anthony Wong’s (黃秋生) upcoming TVB drama, which will begin filming in the summer.

“I really don’t care what role I’d get. I just want to work with senior Anthony Wong,” said Tammy. “Both Moon and I see him as our idol. It’s rare to see him working for TVB, so we will fight for the opportunity to work with him.”

For her New Year’s wish, Tammy expressed that she hopes to save enough money to treat her family to a long vacation. She also added that she wants to find Mr. Right, who must get along with her family.

    1. True that, I don’t think they r real, probably fake friendship. Seriously there r lots of fakers in the industry. They probably hate each other in th heart. They just probably want to look good in front of cameras and paparazzis.

  1. I think this is just a publicity stunt those two seem like they dislike each other more than being “good friends”

    1. Well, we all know how many fake friendships exist in this circle due to competition and other issues. However, many must try to pretend to be good friends in front of the fans and public.

      1. i dont feel they are the types that you are talking about, they looks very genuine.and if they are pretending then they are just good actresses.

      2. I was not really referring to them but was just saying in general.Honestly, whether they are being genuine or not, only they would know that. You cannot always see how a person is by looking at them. But of course, a person’s looks(in particularly the eyes) can really show how a person is.

    2. I’m pretty sure they are good friends because I have seen both their instagrams and they seem to go out with eachother alot and visit eachother’s houses along with Moon and Tammy…

  2. Call me naive, but I think they could be good friends.. Sure, they are rivals in the pageant, but they could become friends?
Most actresses who participated in the same pageants are relatively close friends..
I don’t see any reasons why they can’t.

    1. The reasons that I see are of course they are competing with each and if you are very competitive, then it is really hard to be close friends, especially if you lost against them. I think maybe after the pageant you can be friends, but if you enter the same industry like the e circle then it makes it harder to be friends, especially if you care about reaching the top and not caring about who you hurt in the process. However, it is still possible to be regular friends, but not sure about really close friends.

      1. True, but I don’t really see it that way. Gloria, Tracy, Sisley and Grace, Jacqueline are the potential ones to rise at the same time, during the next 2 years.

      2. 2 years? Oh no pls make it 5 years. I don’t want to suffer!

      3. I personally don’t have an issue with Tracy or Jacqueline. They were natural in the roles they acted so far.

As for Gloria, Grace, they shouldn’t be too bad since they personally know Cantonese.

      4. Agree. Make it at least 4 years. I don’t want to suffer either though all of them speak good Cantonese.

      5. I think there may be a misunderstanding, I meant that their debut acting roles would be during these 2 years, not being promoted.. :/

  3. Btw guys do u guys reckon recent contestants of these pagent competition r any good. I reckon these couple of year the constestants r quite crap in quality, only one or two of them all r good if not ok.

  4. Random but I know a girl who looks like a combination of both of them and it’s just so weird when I see them together
