Grace Chan Not Worried About Jealous Colleagues

Grace Chan (陳凱琳), Moon Lau (劉佩玥), Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), and Stephanie Ho (何雁詩) became good friends after filming TVB legal drama, Raising the Bar <四個女仔三個BAR>. The four actresses coordinated in black and white outfits at a recent celebratory event for the drama’s good ratings.

Recently, Grace and Moon were complimented to be hardworking and talented by TVB executive, Catherine Tsang (曾勵珍). Grace smiled and expressed her gratitude, “I am very thankful to Ms. Tsang. I need to go give her a kiss!”

Since being crowned Miss Hong Kong in 2013, Grace has been heavily promoted by the company. When asked whether she is concerned about other people being jealous, Grace confidently responded, “I’m not worried. If everyone would look at it from a positive perspective, it shows that with hard work, anyone can have the chance for a variety of jobs.”

Although the drama boosted the careers of its cast and achieved ideal ratings, Grace expressed that it would be a lot of pressure if the company decided to film a sequel. Moon added that she hopes the cast would be able to work together again on a series.

    1. Hard work is important. Family connections wouldn’t hurt either.

  1. She’s a smart girl as she knows how handle tacky questions and good that she’s humble too. She’ll go far if she continues to stay that way.

    1. I am also impressed with Grace’s ability to answer difficult questions well. I think she gives very good answers without appearing to avoid the question, which can be difficult even for those who have been in the entertainment industry for a while. She is very poised and natural. Wish her all the best with her career!

  2. Very tactful answers!! She has a very classy unique vibe. Like her more and more!!! Hope she can get a good role, more independent and not always lovestruck kind of role.

    1. Kinda difficult if she’s stays with TVB. TVB loathes a love triangle in all its dramas.

  3. Grace is pretty good better than some of current 30something year old fadans but I hope she doesn’t get pressured too fast. Her bad spot is her looks.

  4. For some reasons I like her, too. Glad that TVB started promoting Grace.

  5. Among the newbies, Grace is definitely the one with the most potential. She doesn’t overact and has grace and poise. Most of all, she looks and sounds intelligent. Even the current crop of fadans like Linda Chung, Kate Tsui and Myolie Wu can’t hold a candle to her. Way to go, Grace!

    1. Grace Chan’s acting is good for a newbie. However, she is not pretty at all for a Chinese. She does not look like Chinese. Period. She looks very much like an Indian. How can she act as a Chinese girl in a drama series? She can surely portray an Indian girl visiting or living in Hong Kong.

      1. stop saying that she looks like an indian well..at least she can film more TV films for us to watch!! seriously!!!>.<

      2. Stop being so racist. I’m not sure of Grace’s heritage so I’m not going to make assumptions but you know how hurtful this whole ‘you don’t like (blank) enough’ thing can be? People with mixed heritage exist you know, I’m one of them. Stop trying to make people feel inferior or as if they don’t belong just because they don’t look like what you think a Chinese beauty should look like. Reminds me of the afro-Japanese pageant winner who got criticised because she doesn’t look Japanese enough. Way to discriminate mixed people or even people who are different than the norm.
