“Heart and Greed” Gave Bosco Wong a Lot of Stress

The cast of TVB’s upcoming anniversary drama Heart and Greed <溏心風暴3>, including Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), showed up in Kornhill to promote their new drama. Heart and Greed is the third installment to Lau Ka-ho’s (劉家豪) Heart of Greed <溏心風暴> franchise, and is a co-production with China’s Penguin Pictures.

At the promotional event, Bosco made an entrance with nine other women, which is a nod to his flirty character in the series. Bosco admitted that it isn’t easy to play a playboy, as he had to film many intimate scenes with a lot of his female costars. Most of the actresses were either married or the wife of a good friend. He also had to film an intimate scene with Crystal Fung (馮盈盈) after their first meeting.

Interestingly, Bosco had no stress filming kissing scenes with Priscilla, who is not only his good friend but also the girlfriend of Bosco’s close friend Edwin Siu (蕭正楠).

“It’s all me,” said Priscilla. “I’m the one who’s pursuing him. He has no pressure, but I do. It’s to the point where I was worried that I’d violate him.”

“Especially at the end,” said Bosco. “She just keeps on trying to eat me.”

“I tried,” expressed Priscilla. “He’s like my game. He’s really hard to eat.”

“Our relationship on the show is actually very much like our relationship in real life,” revealed Bosco. “[Priscilla] was the girlfriend of a close friend, but the friend in the show passed away, so there is a wall between us.”

At the mention of TVB’s “Limit Sexual Themes Order”, Bosco said, “I just came back from the Mainland so I’m not sure what’s going on. Does that mean TVB won’t be doing anniversary galas anymore? Are male artists also included in this order? I had to take off my shirt a lot for this drama!”

Heart and Greed premieres on November 27, 2017. It also stars Louise Lee (李司棋), Ha Yu (夏雨), Michelle Yim (米雪), Susanna Kwan (關菊英), Vincent Wong (王浩信), Eliza Sam (岑麗香), Michael Tong (唐文龍), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), and a guest appearance by Steven Ma (馬浚偉).

  1. I kind of like the refreshing pair up w/Pakho Chau in LW2…haha lol…I am never a big fan of Bosco but i will watch for Vincent Wong. 🙂

  2. Was it really so stressful for Bosco? He is just playing the same old…same old ambitious and flirtatious character. I don’t think it wil be so much different from his character in Two Steps from Heaven. And pairing with Priscilla again?

Anyway, will give this a try for the veteran casts. But even if do watch, i think most likely i’ll just watch few episodes in the beginning, middle and the ending of the series…haha!! If only they can bring back Tavia, Linda & Fala…that will be great. I definitely love them more over Priscilla, Eliza and Sharon.

    1. @diana80 Yea, exactly! Watching the trailer, this series looks like it will essentially be the same as HOG 1 and 2 — alot of yelling and screaming and arguing and people crying left and right. Lau Kar Ho has been using the same gimmicky formula for most of his series over the last decade and with the success of the first 2 installments, pretty sure he has no intention of changing that strategy.

    2. @diana80 its a waste no Raymond lam inside with his superb good song. If this series without good theme song n sub theme song will lose its soul. But the story seems good based on trailer. Just the actors n actresses could be better.

  3. This series looks like the exact same formula for the first two installments. Someone eats a dead cat for something they didn’t do and gets all the blame, while silently taking it. A lot of yelling ensues, and then the truth gets uncovered, dead cat eater is vindicated, and audience feels good. Rinse and repeat. Oh, and sprinkle in cheesy “family moments” where they have a stupid saying or a dumb little jingle between them, and boom! We have HOG3.
