Him Law Consults Feng Shui Master About Future With Tavia Yeung?

Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and Him Law (羅仲謙) were rumored to have been dating for 9 months, since they met on the set of The Hippocratic Crush < On Call 36小時>. The pair often praised each other in interviews, but claimed  they were only good friends who shared good conversations over dinner together. However, 27-year-old Him Law may be secretly worried about the future of his “friendship” with 32-year-old Tavia Yeung, as he had reportedly visited a feng shui master seeking the future outlook of the relationship!

The feng shui master that Him Law consulted was known as Koon Jeh, whose office was located in the Jordan district in Hong Kong. Koon Jeh never asked for the names of her clients, but claimed the ability to see one’s past, present, and future lives based on a person’s date and hour of birth. She was popular among celebrities such as Anita Yuen (袁詠儀), Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅), and Susanna Kwan (關菊英).

An insider revealed, “Him Law was very eager to know whether his girlfriend’s life clashed with his own life. He asked if there were any methods to improve their romantic fate, and whether the couple will have an opportunity to live together and get married. He was concerned about their future together.”

Him Law And Tavia Yeung Have No Future Together?

Allegedly, Him had first asked Koon Jeh about his career luck and then gave her a woman’s date and hour of birth, asking about their romantic fate. Koon Jeh said, “There have been many celebrities seeking my consultations lately! But I cannot reveal too much! I only ask for a person’s date and hour of birth, so I do not know their names. It was not until afterward when people starting asking me about [the man], that I realized he was Him Law!”

When asked about Him and Tavia Yeung’s romantic fate, Koon Jeh said, “His romantic fate with that lady is not bad! But he is so young, he will not choose her in the end!”

Asked whether he had indeed sought the advice of feng shui master, Koon Jeh, Him Law replied, “I’m very busy right now and do not have time to do such things. I am friends with Tavia Yeung.”

Tavia Yeung Intends to Live Together With Him Law?

It was understood that Tavia Yeung had purchased a 3-bedroom 1,000 square feet condo apartment valued at $6.17 million HKD in September 2011. The apartment faced ocean views and was located within the Le Prestige residential complex in Tseung Kwan O, a short commute from TVB. It was understood that Tavia will move into her new residence in July 2012, after completing Prominent Family <名媛望族> in Shanghai.

Him Law currently lived with his family in a village house in Tai Po, which was a long commute from TVB City. To shorten Him’s commute to work, Tavia may allegedly invite Him Law to live with her at  her new residence!

Tavia Yeung’s New Residence, Le Prestige in Tseung Kwan O!

The Le Prestige residential complex offered apartments with incredible ocean views, clubhouse facilities, and lounge space. The most innovative and attractive feature may be a 120,000 square feet outdoor oasis, complete with “rivers” to swim in, and waterfalls located on the 6th floor of the residential complex.

Jayne: I love Tavia’s new apartment, Le Prestige! For the price of $6.17 million HKD, it seems to be a reasonable price for stunning ocean views and the incredible 120,000 square feet outdoor oasis. The outdoor oasis was designed to resemble facilities found in world-class tropical resorts. Tavia made a good choice!

As the feng shui master, Him Law may have indeed consulted one. It will be interesting to see if he may be spending time at Tavia’s new residence.

  1. am i alone on this? this just sounds really really bizarre.

  2. Seriously $6.17million for condo in HK. In Malaysia this value can buy 4-5 big villas.

    1. Now I understand why Tavia so care about making $$$$$$$.

      1. I still dun understand :P. Other Txb artists bought more expensive house(s) than her and they dun seem to talk about money all the time like her. For example: Bosco, Moses. I don’t think their families are any richer than hers.

      2. lol.. Was it necessarily to compare with other people? People dun talk about $$$ as frequent as her then So What. It is not that keep talking about $$$ is illegal or thing beyond morality . If some of you found it annoying about her money minded then it was personal problem and bias. So it was useless to debate.

      3. People dun talk about $$$ as frequent as her then So What.

That’s it :P. She is talking about money more than other ppl when she isn’t any poorer than other ppl. Done :P. It also illegal or beyond morality for annoying at material minded :P, simply annoying.

      4. hmm…You have nothing new. Just ‘ctrl v’ then ‘ctrl c’.

      5. Save time, lol. Time = Money =)) and your lady love money so I’m doing favour to her. Maybe you can ctrl + C then ctrl + V like me (have to C first, then V because Ctrl + C = copy and ctrl + V = paste 😛 and you can’t paste if you haven’t copy). BTW, using Ctrl + C and + V effectively is an art :P.

      6. Yeah, save your brain for your other works. Dun use too much brain on posting in an entertainment site :D.

      7. That why I seldom post comment. I enjoy to read forum and news but hate to post comment. Dun wan drain my brain energy. :p

      8. beside..how to make the smile face? So sad, I always fail to make the smile face

      9. To make smilies:

        1. 🙂 = : + )
        2. 😛 = : + P
        3. 🙁 = : + (

        I only know these 3

    2. Well we all know how expensive housing is in Hk so I don’t know if it is fair to compare. Even in the area where I live, you can get a nice home in one area but then you can go to a city that is really close by and pay so much more for a smaller and older home. It just varies depending on the area and region that you live.

      1. Yes, Asian housing market is really crazy in general: Hongkong, Japan,… even Vietnam.

In a small city of Vietnam, a small house can cost like $150,000 (USD) with no additional land beside the house (no air condition, no dish washing machine). With the same amount of money, we can purchase new house with 3 bed rooms, good looking yard in US. Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and other big cities, it can cost up to $3,500+ per square meter.

      2. Because there are more ppl in a big city so the price of apartment will be higher. In the countryside of course it will be lower.

      3. Housing in Vietnam used to not be so expensive, but everything is so much more expensive now. Even the food used to be pretty cheap but is very expensive now.

      4. Housing in US cities really that cheap and got so much land?

      5. @HTS: How much do you know about Vietnam :P? In the current crisis, which country where price dun increase?

      6. @Fox,
I KNOW A LOT about Vietnam so DO NOT question because my family members constantly go there. My uncle and aunt just went and are still there. My cousin and his whole family will go there this summer and many other of my family members have been there recently too. Therefore, you have no right to question what I know or not…

      7. Your relatives aren’t you yourself. You only listen to their stories and don’t see it yourself. How can you know and understand a lot about a place that you don’t live in? The price increased but the salary and the living standard also increased accordingly. Therefor it isn’t a right statement you provided. Moreover, the crisis is affecting every country so the increased price isn’t a rare case of Vietnam. In respect of living standard, I can ensure with you that it is pretty good to live in Vietnam, or even easier :P. US isn’t paradise.

      8. I lived in Vietnam for most of my life and recently moved to US. Most of cities in US and big cities’ surrounding area housing is not expensive. My family purchased a $220, 000 (USD) with 5 bed rooms and it was 100% new (being built when we made down payment.

while our house (far away from the center/downtown) of a very small city in Vietnam was sold with $200, 000 (USD) and it was an old wooden house with nothing in it. Buyer did destroy the house and built a new one.

It is a problem in Vietnam, inflation is like18-20% per year, everything like food, gasoline, housing is so expensive more and more people will not be able to afford a house. Most of people I know graduated from HCM Univeristy of Technology and HCM Business School, thery are top 1 in engineering and business but only 1 person I know earn 1000 USD/month, other range from 200-350 USD/month. It is barely enough to afford a normal life without having save for emergency and future.

      9. Oh, and pork (pig’s meat), chicken, and beef in US are cheaper than they are in Vietnam. That why many people in Vietnam do not even eat like 1-2 kg meat per YEAR, tofu and vegtables (do not include potato, carrot because they are expensive) are replaced meat.

The small village where I was born (about 80km from my house), people often use foods from forest (small fish, leaves of trees, etc) to eat and I have to say these foods do not taste good.

Yes, Vietnamese housing market (not all places but many) are much expensive than many US.

You can buy a very cheap one in a village in VN but:
        1. Houses are made by wood and very old
        2. No water, gas, and no proper toilet. They do have electricity but often get power blackout
        3. TV signals may be weak
        4. No internet ISP
        5. THEY DO HAVE WIRELESS/CELLULAR/ SIGNAL – STRANGE? Companies lure farmer into their traps

      10. LOL, I can’t hold my laughter when you mention of Internet :P. Free wifi is EVERYWHERE, lol. 3G is very strong, even when you are in the mountain or near the sea, lol. House in wood? LMAO~, it’s very expensive to have a house in wood by now =)). Even more expensive than house in brick. And who will have house in wood? The richies :P. I don’t know where but pork in Hanoi is cheaper and taste better than in London :P. And eat vegetables = bad? Uhmm… The vegetables here is super expensive and don’t taste good. I miss the tropical vegetables in Vietnam so much because it is cheap and super good :P. And dun talk about the fruits because the tropical fruits are cheap, good and delicious! You can go to market everyday, buy the food for this day without having to put it in frozen. Yummy!

You can buy houses in the surrounding of US cheaper but the price is higher, so overall, it is the same. For example, how much do you have to pay for a gallon of petrol in US? And how much is your tax? How much do a bus cost you to go to other places? I will say that you have to pay $1/litter of petrol in Vietnam. Tax will cost 7% of your salary and if you can earn for example $200/month, you will only has to pay $14/month. Bus cost you $3 to go everywhere in a city by bus in a month. 😛 Are they cheap enough?

And you are talking about Internet, haha where you can use unlimited internet with high speed in a month with just <$10? And internet is everywhere, lol. I went cafe, or even stand near the cafe and enjoy internet in my smart phone freely. Lol.

Oops, I don't know how is your friends but all of my friends are earning about $800-1000 per month by now :). Some is even can earn $3000 per month. One of my friend has $5000 not include bonus a month now. So I believe it depends on own abilities.

Yup, I admit tat Vietnam is still developing and here or where, there are riches and poores. It isn't a matter because I see it everywhere I've gone, even larger gap between riches and poores. Vietnam isn't a paradise but also not a hell and living there, is way easier than many other places :). Oops, forget to mention of the beautiful sightseeings, haha.

      11. The number of people who own cellphone in Vietnam is very high, include the farmers and minorities (nearly 100% are farmers too). Companines asked they sign a contract to use cell for free but then they later would have to pay – it was a legal mater and educational problem.
Legal system is funny, 99.99% of the cases never go to the court because the courts reject them if these cases involve rich/goverment employees/official relatives. Companies also use big ad campaign to “trap”.

I read the news about goverment official took the land of a farmer (5000 m^2) and gave him 100 USD yes 100 USD for 5000 meter square (2 cents per meter square) as an assistance to help him find another place. The farmer took 3 years to fill law suit but only recently got accepted only when he sent lot of letters to news papers.

      12. Oh it’s interesting when you bring out a case. Haha, I’m doing case study on the subsidy in Ireland and there are many fake farmers there, who dun work in the farm but only wait for the subsidies to live. One of the fake farmers was caught and he filled a lawsuit to the government. It is interesting.

Signing a contract for free cellphones? Huh? It is happening in everywhere :P. Lol, but the cellphone’s price is pretty low in Vietnam so why need to sign contract? Mostly free cellphones are cheap and the buyers can throw it without thinking, lol. Who bother to follow a lawsuit for these cheap stuffs?

And I blv you dun know much about the lawsuit procedures. Litigation will take times and court is the game of money and time. Who has more money and time will follow the case til the end. Who can’t afford, say no to litigation please! Everywhere, a litigation procedure will cost you at least 1-2 years to finish the first stage. If you want to have the court of appeal, prepare for more 1-2 years at least. The rejection of the court, always has to provide the reasons :P. BTW, I think you can read about the case of McDonald’s Corporation v Steel & Morris. It is interesting.

      13. @Fox,
        1. Internet is cheap. I agree but hard to deal with signal drops, slow, etc. It is only cheap for ADSL customer who get up to 6Mbps. High speed about 40-100 USD (like CMC Fiber): max speed is like 20Mbps/5Mbps. YES, 3G in Vietnam is loved.

        2. Gasolines in Vietnam costs more than USA a little bit (except California’s cities), it is around 22,500 vnd/l. Electricity and natural gas cost a little bit less.

        3. Right now, the price of vegtable depends on weather. It often 1/4-1/3 of US price. Hanoi did get 1/2 when the rain destroyed the farms.

        4. Meat:
        – Lunar New Year 2012 and 1 month after:
        + beef: 18-20 USD/ Kg
        + pork: 10-12 USD/kg
+ chicken: We all know we have a lot of chicken in US.
        – Now:
        + beef: 9-13 USD Kg
        + pork: 6-7 USD Kg
        Source:vnexpress.net/gl/kinh-doanh/2012/03/rau-xanh-dung-gia-thit-lon-giam-nhe/
This was posted 2 hour ago 🙂

My mom just helped me buy 5 pounds of beef and only cost 13.5 USD.

        4. The rent in Hanoi and Saigon can cost 200/month for a small room with no kitchen!!!

        5. Bus is cheap but people try to avoid bus because divers are rude (skip bus stop, beat up customer) and pick-pocket

        6. Earning: working for goverment bank only 250-350 per month for new graduates, engineering is similar. One worked for Uniliver earns near 1K but afte tax: 800 and she IS A BRAND MANAGER.

Of course, there people who earn near 1 billion USD. Mr. Duc has 700 million USD, FPT owner has like 600 million USD. Singer like My Tam earns 1-2k per show, Mr. Dam had 10k for his performance at a richer’s wedding. BUT most people earn less than 150.

      14. Except cities like Chicago or New York were there are certain people live in the cities where in other cities people often buy houses that are far away from cities like 15-30 mins if driving. Saint Louis City, the houses are much cheaper than far away places (we call counties/county): this is totally different to Vietnam. City: expensive, others: cheaper.

You can see how big Fala Chen house in US is, cost less than 1 million while my aunt’s house in HCM/Saigon cost $500, 000 but much smaller.

        =====
Forgot about wooden houses: they are not 1 million usd house like Cho Ray Hospital President’s but like this
        owee58.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/adia_2007_04_06_DSC_8270_woman_rowing_boat_floating_house_vietnam_chao_doc_cringel_com.jpg

Thin wood plates with oxidized nails, metal root. Now many people have built new “box” style one instead.

      15. LOL, you pointed it. Cities like Chicago and New York are like Hanoi and HCM City where the price is higher than other places. If you buy a house in Lung Cu, for example, it will be way way cheaper :P.

Who in Vietnam dun use ADSL (dun mention of 3G and GRPS, I’m saying of home internet)? Please don’t tell me that you are using telephone roaming because it’ll shock me to death :P. And it seems to be faster internet than I’m having now in UK, haha. One of my lecturers just went to Vietnam and she impressed with the internet services. Don’t mention of the improvement of technologies in Vietnam because it is very fast!

Also depends on which quality of the products you buy to have different price, you seem know that :P.

For the salary, sorry but my friends and me, when they were just out of uni, they were offered $300-500 already :). A girl works for KPMG and after the training time (3 months), she is paid $600/month. So basically, it based on your talent :P. Working in government areas of Vietnam is a matter that we all understand that the officers dun live on their salary but the bonus and expenses which can reach to $400-600/month :P, or even more. And the basic salary is now nearly 2 millions dong and you dun seem to know. Then there is NO salary of 1 million. The tax will charge for the salary from 5 millions to higher, therefore a worker with the 1 million salary won’t have to pay the tax :P. Plus, the tax will be charged only for the extra amount exceed 5 millions.

I don’t know how long did you move to US but I guess you need to update more 🙂 since the house you posted was 2007 :P. Now is 2012, my dear.

  3. Tavia mentioned before she has never had any rumours with co-stars. So, all the reporters are helping her to create one now? Hmm..

  4. The complex looks nice but the price is quite low compared to other places. Guess it’s because of the area.

  5. Ok well the prediction of Tavia inviting HIm Law to stay with her just cause she got a new condo is kind of ridulous.

  6. 6.17 million for a 1,000 sq. ft. apartment in urban hk is very reasonable. i am wondering if she managed to get the flat cheap because of who she is. the developers would obviously like to have a well known celebrity in their midst to boost sales and prices. however, tseung kwan o is not a very desirable place to live for those who don’t work at tvb. it’s a landfill site, known to emit foul odours throughout the city, and also it is very humid, which leads to buildings deteriorating quickly.

    1. Tavia isn’t likely to leave TVB soon so it will be a good place for her to live to void long commute ROFL

      1. i think CTI or whatever that new name tv station is also building their studio nearby TVB (in tsueng kwan o city)

  7. “It was understood that Tavia Yeung had purchased a 3-bedroom 1,000 square feet condo apartment valued at $6.17 million HKD in September 2011.”

wow… That’s just insane! my 4 bedroom 2400 sq foot home only cost $1.7 million HKD.

It always amazed me when I hear housing prices out of Hong Kong or Japan. No wonder extended families live together. How does a young couple afford their own place? Are their cheaper (but still nice) areas in Hong Kong?

    1. everyone knows how expensive the property prices are in Hong Kong.

  8. I don’t believe in Feng SHui very much at all. My dad did and it became sooo annoying….

    1. I also wonder how much of what Feng Shui masters say do you truly believe?? If you really loved someone and wanted to be with them, but then a Feng Shui master says it is bad to do so, will you still go through with it? Or will you listen to the Feng Shui master??

      1. I have my reservations when it comes to Feng Shui. It’s “power” must be limited since Feng Shui masters themselves can’t change their own destiny. If they could they would all be richer than Bill Gates, LOL.

I like to believe that my destiny lies in my hands and it can only be shaped/changed by myself. Therefore I would totally ignore the so-called predictions of Feng Shui masters 🙂

      2. Believe in the good things and it can make you feel happy :P.

      3. I believe that certain things are in our hands, but I think there are certain things that are beyond our control and are predestined depending on what it is.

    2. In my house, my mom does believe in this kind of stuff but not as much as she used to be. We, her kids, often tell her that Americans they do not believe in this stuff but they have many rich people.

Happiness should be in hands, if it is love then go for it. Why bother to hear none-related person’s comment.

      1. One of my close friend’s mother in law really believes in this stuff. She and her husband had to get their fortune read before they got married to see if they were compatible… I really don’t believe a lot of things that they say since it is total BS.

      2. if the Americans all dun blv in these stuffs why they tried to make a lot of explanation on the supernatural stuffs? Referring to Hollywood :P.

      3. It is entertaining. Of course, there is never 100% but very rarely. I worked as an engineer in system design industry, meet a lot of old people. We sometimes talk about life and I have not seen one.

      4. You have not seen one as in ghost/spirit?

Well, I’ve seen and heard them when I was young like 15-20. It was scary until I had goosebump..

      5. In ghosts? Spirits? Depends if you believe in God. If you believe in God, then you must believe in the existence of the spirits. If you believe in the existence of evil, that is the devil, then you must believe in the existence of goodness, that is god. If you don’t believe in god, ok close case. Nothing more to say.

BUT better to believe than to disbelieve. I will always believe the quote from I believe the TV series Millenium where the character said “It is better to have faith even if you don’t believe”

But a real person and I search and it was Einstein who said “It is better to believe than to disbelieve; in doing you bring everything to the realm of possibility.” and I suppose it does apply to the supernatural as well.

      6. And my most favourite quote about God, thanks to the great Hitchiker’s Guide To The Galaxy and do read carefully, difficult to follow but once you understand, it makes perfect sense!!

“The Babel fish is small, yellow, leechlike, and probably the oddest thing in the Universe. It feeds on brainwave energy received not from its own carrier but from those around it. It absorbs all unconscious mental frequencies from this brainwave energy to nourish itself with. It then excretes into the mind of its carrier a telepathic matrix formed by combining the conscious thought frequencies with nerve signals picked up from the speech centers of the brain which has supplied them. The practical upshot of all this is that if you stick a Babel fish in your ear you can instantly understand anything said to you in any form of language. The speech patterns you actually hear decode the brainwave matrix which has been fed into your mind by your Babel fish.
Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as a final and clinching proof of the NON-existence of God.
        The argument goes like this:
`I refuse to prove that I exist,’ says God, `for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.’
`But,’ says Man, `The Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn’t it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don’t. QED.’
`Oh dear,’ says God, `I hadn’t thought of that,’ and promptly disappears in a puff of logic.
`Oh, that was easy,’ says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.
Most leading theologians claim that this argument is a load of dingo’s kidneys, but that didn’t stop Oolon Colluphid making a small fortune when he used it as the central theme of his best-selling book, “Well, That about Wraps It Up for God.”
Meanwhile, the poor Babel fish, by effectively removing all barriers to communication between different races and cultures, has caused more and bloodier wars than anything else in the history of creation.”

      7. When I was a kid, there was many stories of ghosts/spirits but I understood adult wanted either to make kid good or entertain. No one I know has said “seeing ghost.” Living in Vietnam and US, if I may, I would devide into different groups:

        – Do not believe: only a few. Like my little sisters.

        – Do not belive but there “may be” because we just do not know: scientists and engineer, etc. Do not think it is the case but open to probability. I am in this group.

        – Believe in God and after life: most of people ( include science people). However, this belief based on “a way of living a good life.”: my dad.

        – Believe in ghosts and spirits + Gods, after life. They may harm or help people: my mom.

        – Believe in fortune tellers + Gods, after time…
        =======================
This article falls into the last one.

You may ask why I say people believe in Gods, after life but not ghosts, spirits. My dad, he believes in Gods (the ones in the Monkey King who trap the monkey. .. – I do not know its English title)
but he does not believe there arw ghosts spirit that harm or help people.

      8. There also people believe in “wind and water” (my translation): the way to arrange stuff, burrying, etc. O sendinf things to people from “another side”. Also trusting in “spirit trees.”

Americans, many do beleive in God (Christ) but believe in stuff like ghosts, fortune tellers: rarely.

  9. Tavia doesn’t want to rely/ depend on her future boyfriend/husband financially, and she’s the main “rice-maker” in her family. That’s why she always want to make money. She just shows her ability and independence living her own life. There’s nothing wrong with telling the world that you want to work hard to earn money to support your family and yourself. You can’t compare her to those men because she’s a girl. I admire her for not trying to live off those rich guys or just looking for rich guys to get married with! Once you get out of your small house to live and work in the real world, you’d know how suffering that is for us girls. Guys get higher salaries and better opportunities without sacrificing as much. 🙁

    1. So may I compare her with Charmaine :)? Charmaine can earn money more than all the guys even she is a lady. Compare to her, how is TY? In which job I don’t know but in the entertainment industry, women seem to earn money easier than men 😛 as they have more chance to be endorsors for companies.

TY shows her concern on money much more than others (if you want to mention about the ladies) and I even dun see other mention of it that much like her. For example, Rain Li and Ada Choi have to pay the debt for their parents and I have never seen them talk about money that much. Ada also dun get married with a rich heir. And nothing to ensure that she dun look for rich guys as she had rumour with a rich guy for a long while.

I’m working and living on my own and I don’t talk about money that much :). It isn’t wrong to love money and use it effectively, but showing off that “I love money” too much is just nonsense.

      1. I agree with Fox since I think it is nonsense to mention money so much. It can make people think that you are materialistic and that all you care about is money. My cousin and I were talking about that the other day. He was saying that there is no end to human greed since some people are never truly satisfied. If you are easy to satisfy, then even if you slept on the floor and had just a simple roof over your head then you are happy. But there are people who can be living up in the heavens in paradise but still not be satisfied… Basically, just because you have money doesn’t mean that you have live extravagently. You can just live a simple life.

      2. There were rumours that Tavia break up with her ex-bf because he’s no longer wealthy or has money problem ROFL. We don’t know how true it is but really matched with her $$$ loving LOL

      3. For once your reasoning kinda makes sense, sure you are feeling alright?

Well greed can be good e.g. greed for knowledge and constantly trying make yourself better. Nothing wrong with love/greed for money, but it’s so annoying that TY keeps mentioning so frequently.

You expect a money loving woman to stick with a guy for better or worse, LOL.

      4. I’m always alright and sure that my reasoning always make sense, hehe.

      5. What a surprise! Would be so weird and harmful to your mind if you didn’t believe in your own reasoning, LOL

      6. I really agree with Exiodus that I don’t think a woman that loves money so much will stick with a guy through thick and thin. ALso, if she were that independant, then why would she want to be with a guy that has money?? I would think it would be the opposite…

  10. I don’t like Tavia Yeung’s personality. She only cares about making money and nothing else. Money is very important to everyone’s life, but she does not have to emphasize her goal of making more money all the time. She sounded like a “gold digging” woman to many people.

Moreover, Tavia is very impolite and rude when she does interviews with any co-artistes. She always, always interrupts the host or other artistes during their conversations. One or two interruptions may be acceptable, but not throughout the complete interview. She has to learn how to respect others and let them talk without interrupting them. She seems to place herself as the “main” attraction. Don’t like her at all.

Her acting is just okay but not improving; she is not very clear in her words of pronunciation. She needs to work harder on it. Her “long and funny” nose makes her look ugly.

    1. I seldom get to see the interviews which have ty so i cant comment much on her attitude & behavior but i do find her to be not an uneasy & simple minded girl. SHe seems to be someone cunning lol.

      1. I dun think people in e-circle are easy ,simple minded. If they simple people they cant survive in this field.

      2. It is true that many people in the circle are not simple minded, but some are more cunning than others. I agree and think that Tavia seems like someone very cunning. I also can’t comment on her attitude because I have not really seen her interviews. But I agree that she should not mention money so much since it will make people that she is a gold digger or is money hungry.

I think her acting is just typical and nothing special… Her nose was fine before but is messed now and it sticks out to the point that she looks sort of like Pinnochio.

      3. Nobody in the ent. industry is naive. The naive face, if any, just a mask. And nobody is tend to show their cunning side :P, unless they don’t know they are showing it.

    2. Can’t comment about her personality but it’s true she really showed that she loves $$$$$

    3. I didn’t see many interviews of Tavia, so, I don’t know if she always interrupt people or not. But, I did notice this tendency of hers during the ‘Fan Hau Kam’ interview with Ruco. She always interrupted Ruco’s sentences with remarks that I think she thought is funny, but, I don’t find so.

      1. Kidd,

I think that’s what we called them as “nosy”. TY seems to have a nosy attitude who likes to talk loud and often interrupt ppl’s conversation which is a bad attitude example for kids. I guess she was raised like that since young.

      2. LOL. When Veejay said nosy I instantly have an image of a nose.

      3. lol vivien,

You paid too much attention to her nose! lol.

      4. I did too… I guess I focus a lot on her nose too.. She should not have messed with her nose since it did not even look that bad before…

  11. “But he is so young, he will not choose her in the end!””

    LOL

      1. not really but I just find it funny that the feng shui teller can say it like that LOL. What is Himhim’s reaction? 😛

      2. Phoning TY: “Sorry, the fortuneteller told me that I have to leave you… I will miss your nose very much”

    1. How many years older is she than him?? I don’t remember… I think older woman and younger guy can last, but it varies… However, would think they won’t last if the girl is a lot older.

      1. Tavia – August 30, 1979
        Him – August 28, 1984

Literally five years apart. It really depends on the maturity level, tbh. The reason why so many older women/younger men relationships don’t work out is because women mature at a younger age. Him Law has said in some interview (a loooooong time ago), that he’s more mature compared to his peers, so I’m not surprised if he and Tavia are really going out.

      2. I know that Tavia is my age, but just did not remember how old him was. I thought he was born in 1985. Oh so 5 years is not too bad since I have seen even bigger gaps work out. I agree that it just depends on the maturity level but another is that women also age faster than men do. I think men like fresher and younger girls as opposed to older ones…

      3. Tavia – August 30, 1979
        Him – August 28, 1984

They are both Virgos. So, personality should match. 😀

    2. I got a friend who is now 26yrs old and his wife is 38yrs old. He met his wife when he was 18 yrs old and she was 30yrs old. She was married b4 and he also too young so she didn’t accept him at that time. After a year he kept on chasing after her and always comfort her when she was down which is so touching she give it go and now they lively happily n have a kid together. I believe if people love each it doesn’t what the age difference is.

    3. Age is not a matter for relationship but in this Entertainment Industry, I think there are many more reasons that could harm their relatioship such as ppl you meet/encounter, financial reason etc. For eg. Him may often need to collaborate with prettier, young and flirtious girls and these girls really dun care whether u’re married or single, they will try their best to seduce you.. just for popularity reasons or etc. Same goes to TY.. but since Him Law is quite famous in female circle, I believe he has more demands than older TY.

      1. LOL that’s why the fortune teller also mention about Himhim is young and might leave her LOL. He’s in hot demand 😛

      2. IT is very very easy to get tempted even in the normal world when you see someone younger and better looking than your current wife/girlfriend. Therefore, it is even more so in the entertainment circle where you are constantly surrounded by young, successful and good looking people.I guess that is what is “special” about love if you really are in love because you are committed to and only love that one person and regardless of who crosses your path, you still will not stray and will remain faithful to the one that you truly love.

      3. Chances of meeting more attractive, seducesive women in the Entertaiment Circle is higher than other fields. Plus, Him Law is considered famous, handsome and macho in women’s eyes therefore chances of him eloping with other women is higher than TY who is reaching to her next level as Hk “leftover”

      4. Therefore with $$$ she will feel secure and not afraid to become as HK ‘leftover’. Charmaine should become her role modal.

      5. since leftover is already unavoidable when ppl “believe” women who are above 35+ who isn’t married are considered one and these women often use money to compensate with their less security mostly future.

Dont get me wrong here, I’m not dissing leftover women cuz most of my friends are above 34+ and still single even I’m 33 this year but I’m married tho but that doesn’t make different cuz I dont believe in this word “leftover”. I was just generalising the term given by these Hkers. I’ve friends who really think MONEY is more important to them. They said they don’t mind not having bf, as long as they got money.

      6. It isn’t just in HK that women are considered leftover. I think that term is used in Korea. One of my friends is 32 and still doesn’t have anyone yet and many traditional guys don’t want her because they say that she is old now. They want younger girls that are in their 20s… sigh… Are all the girls that are in their 30s and not married yet going to be old maids?? BUt then again it depends since my aunt did not get married until she was 43…

      7. I also want to add that I think even if you a girl has a boyfriend, it is still good to be independa=ent and to make your own money. It is not good to rely on anyone too much or else you may take too much from him and then be considered a leecher…

      8. Hong Kong is known as a cutthroat society to live in, especially with the high cost of living and housing prices. Thus, people always seem to preoccupied with money because a certain level of it is necessary to stay afloat.

Most artists are in the entertainment industry for the money, with their interests as secondary.

      9. Most will be working for money, but only some stressed it more than others such as TY LOL 😛

      10. Tavia seems to treat her love for money as a long-running joke. I see no problem with it if she is motivated to work hard for the love of money, to pay for a life that she is dreaming of. Everyone has motivations to work hard; everyone has a different dream.

As long as materialism is not the end-all, be-all goal, as long as she makes an honest living and hurts no one in the process, I don’t see why it should be scorned upon.

Despite her self-professed claim for money, it doesn’t seem to be simply materialism driven, as she doesn’t wear big designer fashions.

There are actresses who may not talk about money, but may date only rich men (even some that are married or many years older than them), which may prove a stronger love of money.

Actions speak louder than words. If she works hard and honestly for her money, why can’t she claim that she loves money and the reason that makes her get up in the morning everyday?

      11. Jayne,

Good speech, I too see no prob in mentioning money always lol.

      12. Not to speak bad about Gigi Lai, but she was often dubbed as a “Beauty Loving Goddess” because she loved to look beautiful and dress up. Many actresses are also openly obsessed with looking good, wearing high heels during pregnancy etc.

Is it so terrible for a person to openly declare that they love money or beauty? As long as their interests do not affect others? It’s just one aspect of their personality…also it’s a given that celebrities in the circle do care about money and looks.

      13. Jayne,

Nothing wrong to say you love money or beauty constantly or everyday but I guess some ppl just think this “long time joke” abit annoying if its mentioned too frequent? There are ppl who like to listen to thing only once and if repeated brought up, ppl will condemn it as annoying.. I guess TY’s constant mention of loving money just give ppl a greedy impression of her (for those who doesn’t know her well).

      14. Veejay,
I understand the point you raised. However, many TVB artists work very hard and often mention money as the ultimate dream they are working for as well. It’s almost as if they wish to tell the press, so that advertisers and TVB will get the message and act accordingly.

      15. “Is it so terrible for a person to openly declare that they love money or beauty? ”

Errrr… I love money and beauty, which I have neither. Can I say that? Shall I scream it whilst I beat my chest with my fists and crying and just declare…

        I.. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE MONEY AND BEAUTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And imagine me doing this on top of er-mei mountain with my trustee sword behind my back.

      16. Funn,
It’s fine for you to make declarations about things you love, but wrong for others to focus on those specific traits to define you as a person. As I’m sure you love other things too, so money and beauty are only two traits about you, but not the entire you.

Ah, most women care about their looks to a certain extent.

      17. Jayne, someone once told me that she is envious when another complains how much income tax they’re paying, which shows how much they earn. Money defines such people. I wouldn’t mind being defined by my money or my beauty. Like I said, I have none. I am for once someone who doesn’t understand why beautiful people wants to be not beautiful so that people will so called see the real them when ugly people goes through such extents to be beautiful so that people could notice them. Same with money I suppose. Ok ok I’ve said too much!

      18. I agree with Jayne. Tavia usually only brings up money in interviews when they ask her a personal question… it seems more like a distraction mechanism/running joke than her actually professing her undying love to money. Even if she is, she depends on herself on not anyone else.

Surprise that so many of the commentators dislike Tavia so much, as least to what it seems like with the endless jokes about her nose and looks. I actually didn’t really notice her nose until it was brought up, my only suggestion for her is to tone down the makeup and let her hair grow out a bit.

I think she’s worked quite hard to be where she’s at today. She worked from being ‘ke le fe’ to supporting actress to now main actress. It’s taken her a lot of years and hard work. She’s barely had any rumors till recently, so it can be said that her success is due to her skill and hardwork, and no short cuts.

  12. this is pretty good news, congrats to Tavia for getting a flat!
love her acting, personality, don’t think it matters she mentions $$$ so much, and thinks her nose is a bit annoying but OK to look at in TVB shows.

    my 2cents….

    1. Yeah.I dun believe that anyone hates money.LOL.Her dad pass away or divorced.now shes grow up obviously she has to take care of her mum.Even if she mention $$ alot maybe shes has her own reason?we are not her.we wont know whatdafck she thinking.AND.Her nose is very distracting.but i think she can act.JUST MAKE HER DAMN NOSE BACK TO NORMAL.

      1. her dad was passed away and have stepfather but also passed away. Such a pity Tavia and her mum to lost beloved one for twice.

      2. You make a point :). Nobody can know what she is thinking on her head and she really has reasons, or not.

      3. I heard that her dad passed away so I guess that makes the financial pressure on her even bigger. What about her sister?? Does her mom work? If not, then I can sort of understand why she values money so much. However, I still don’t think she should mention it so much.

      4. Her sister still works for TVB, mostly see her as a host for TVB8. She got married and looks quite good for an one-son mother :D. I like her much more than her sister TY.

      5. Sometimes single woman’s mind is just “money” just because they’re single and they don’t have bf to rely on.. that’s pretty normal. Also, women who has reached 30 and above who still have no bf will normally think money is their only thing that can secure their future..

      6. Her sister also must take care of her son mah.so cannot give a mum alot $$.Her mum is not working.:PHmm…In another point of view.she talks abt money alot might be becuz she wants to give her mother a better hse etc.^^. I find her quite pitiful cuz her step dad and dad passed away…if she corrects her nose back.i would like her much better. And yeah.as to her interupting ppl in interviews..i watched some..yeah..it is a little RUDE but maybe its her personatilty to be straightforward.better than other artists who wears a mask.

      7. Do you think that she is also wearing the straightforward mask :P? Don’t forget that she is an ACTress so it isn’t a big surprise if she is acting.

      8. i agree with u.:PShe might be wearing a mask:PMaybe other goodie two shoes tvb actress and actors are wearing a mask.no one knows except themselves^^.Idk other ppl larh.but i went to the event when tavia came to sg.she was quite kind larh.but still interupting host sentence:PThats the showbiz everyone wearing a mask.aiyah.dun care larh.act nice can le.:P

      9. Obviously the artists are wearing masks. If not, how can they climb in the ent. industry, lol.

      10. But ty is diff frm the other actresses.she graduated frm the tvb acting class the rest of the first line fadans all beauty contest blah blah blah.so i think she diff lor.:Phehe

      11. LOL, going out from acting class = no mask? ACTing class, maybe she is acting even more than others, lol. Mean her mask is way heavier :P.

I don’t think it is an disadvantage to go out from acting class. It is actually an advantage. She got prior practices while the others have to learn from each role. If these beauty contest girls can do well with their roles, mean they improve faster.

    2. nolarh.idk if got mask:P only she know:D
but coming out frm acting class also means that she have to work harder than other fadans to climb up the ladder.
      haha,true also:P

      1. Everyone has their own opinions^^so i respect yours^^at least frm what i know the fadan dun fight fight fight.:D

      2. Lol, telling them not to fight is same to telling them not to brush teeth after eating.

  13. Not only the age, but also popularity, status and financial status – Tavia and Him are quite different. I read in the papers that Him lives in a ‘chuen oc’ in Tai Po – not exactly in a wealthy area. Definitely not a prestigious high rise building.

    1. is it me or does Tavia look very young in that picture? she looks quite pretty.

  14. Good on TY! Hope her career be more successful n make more money.

  15. I love her apartment! It looks fabulousssssss 🙂 I wish I lived in an apartment like that!
